  1. Yep, I get that totally. I decided 12 months ago that rather than sit, moan and mope, I'd rather get off my arse and try to do something positive for the club that we all love. It's work in progress......
  2. I've no worries, if that means owt! Keep the faith and never ever forget, WE ARE The Rovers!!!
  3. I don't disagree at all with anything, in fact we're both singing from the same hymn sheet. Other than, if we don't go up, it will be bloody disappointing but not necessarily a disaster! What generally gets missed is the ongoing contract situation regarding our young lads, most who haven't even featured yet in the first team but there's at least a dozen of our under 20s that are coveted by Premier League Clubs....they need signing up to decent and realistic deals.
  4. Millwall at home on Saturday 19th February: If that was priced at £15/£20 adults and £2 a kid if accompanied by a full paying adult/season ticket holder, for walk ons, what do you think the take up would be and could we perhaps get 25k on Ewood?
  5. I doubt Rhino or Rothwell will be going anywhere in January. Darragh at his age, also needs to realise where the grass is greenest!
  6. Well, I guess both Gallagher and Chris Wood are both 6" 3". The difference being is that when competing for a headed ball, Gallagher is 5'8" and Chris Wood is 7"!.......if Gally could perhaps grow in stature.............
  7. What would folks opinion be if we were to sign Chris Wood on a 2 year deal in January from our East Lancs neighbours?
  8. Big Ben is going nowhere in January, ask his agent! We're going all out for automatic promotion from where we are sat currently and despite everything, you have to give credit where it is due to this young squad and management. In August last, I'd have been happy just to have stayed up this season....... COYB!!!
  9. It'd take an offer north of £35 million for Big Ben to be even considered for sale in January and even then the answer would likely be thanks but no thanks!
  10. You can ask chaddy but I ain't going to answer because any meetings we may have had, have been held in confidence between those present. Hopefully you'll understand that. I also didn't say that I agreed with a £15k a week wage cap per sé.
  11. The online system is crap, generally doesn't work and the issue is down to Ticketmaster and Rovers' deficiency in all things IT related. They know that they need to up the ante. They also know that there needs to be more people answering the phone when folk ring up to buy tickets!
  12. Quite pertinent but surprising, Brighton aren't too fussed on either Khadre or Van Hecke! (Khadre has been a disruptive influence and Van Hecke considered to be injury prone) From what I've seen (and I go to every game home and away), they'd both do for me!
  13. I'd respectfully like to correct you: Our allocation was just over 3,300 and when i was at the club today at lunch time, I was told that there were only odd singles left. It's a great following and let's all hope it's still on.
  14. £15k per week is the current maximum for any player.....fact! It's believed that a view is being taken that this may change, dependant on the potential future transfer value of a player ......extremely sensible IMO. Based upon this however, I've no doubt that some may be going in January! I've every faith currently that come January 31st, we'll have a stronger squad than we have currently!! I'm also aware of 2 French lads that were of interest to Rovers last summer (I know them both) but because of the new rules now in place as a consequence of Brexit, neither scored sufficient points for further consideration. They both scored 8 points and the qualifying criteria is a minimum of 15 points based on a variety of factors.
  15. I don’t do Twitter, don’t see myself as a ‘super fan’ but a fan of 50 plus years standing, with balls and contacts, who is trying to make a difference. Why would you or any other self respecting Rovers fan, have an issue with that? I’d also like to ask, wtf are you doing about anything other than bitching and moaning? Am I a ‘happy clapper’?…You should know, am I fuck but I’m also objective!
  16. A lot of good stuff on this thread and I’m personally betwixted and between: Facts are: Rovers have 7,800 season ticket holders for 21/22 season. Against Sheffield United at £14.60 a ticket for ‘walk ons’, we attracted 4,700 Blades and 4,791 additional Roverites, which in my opinion was a poor show. Next up, PNE and based on the need to bring revenue in to the club, the ‘kicker’ has to be to derive the most from 6,000 Nobbers! and hope that Rovers ‘walk ons’ still amount to 5k. COYB!!
  17. One point from me, with respect to every Rovers fan because we all should be as one body and not fragmented, all Rovers together! That is my ultimate aim and intention. Because, despite whatever: WE ARE The Rovers!!!
  18. What’s that got to do with the price of a loaf of bread? If you weren’t aware already, any expenditure on an Academy are totally excluded from expenditure calculations relative to FFP.
  19. The contract situation is fuck all to do with the owners, quite the contrary in fact! It’s down to rank bad Management, end of. That will be my only comment on the subject.
  20. I won’t be commenting at all Chaddy, please respect that for a number of reasons. Not least of which I’m not prepared to offer myself up to be shot at metaphorically speaking by naysayers, who thrive on promoting doom and gloom from behind a keyboard. We all know that for the past 10 years, things have been far from correct, me being me, that calls a spade a spade, they’ve been absolutely shite! All I’ll say is there are ‘green shoots’, and more importantly, reasons to be optimistic about the future., which I’ve no intentions whatsoever of elaborating on at this juncture but ‘keep the faith’! Don’t expect too much from this season, we need to ensure we stay up, get as many fans at Ewood as we can and seriously kick on after Christmas and beyond! WE ARE The Rovers!!!
