Where Mowbray has been extremely negligent, is extending contracts to those that were unlikely to feature in the first team long term. The squad places should be taken by developing under 23s and not by experienced players who are deemed to be generally past it. It will be an absolute travesty if the likes of Mols, Butterworth, Lyons etc are moved on to develop their careers elsewhere, whilst Mulgrew, Smallwood etc sit on their arses and their contracts.
