  1. Whoops sorry, I just posted a new topic on this too. Can the Mods please remove. RIP Shebby 61 too young these days.
  2. The empty stadium, will make for an unusual (2020/21 excepted) atmosphere and should work to our advantage. I am hoping for a win, but avoiding defeat is a must. Rovers 0-1 Big Ben.
  3. One other thing to think about is, if we did go up, they are then out of contract and would presumably struggle to get a premier league team to take them, so they simply miss out on a promotion bonus and a premier league contract. The payers seem to be playing a dangerous game.
  4. Earlier posts from some people suggest we spike play fringe players. That team wins that comfortably with the first choice keeper. Bad for confidence that result and wrong that 4,000 had to witness that.
  5. During our early premier league years, we had trips to the final of the league cup and won it of course, a two leg semi final another year and two FA Cup semi finals too. All of those achievements, are close to as exciting as the actual winning of the league cup, as it felt great supporting Rovers in such big games at the life of the Millenium stadium and Old Trafford V Chelsea. Yes the game has changed, but there is no reason why we should give anything but our best in tomorrow's game and go on a decent run in the competition.
  6. It shows what it means to the fans still and therefore should be taken seriously.
  7. It's beginning to feel a bit like that Olympic badminton match, when both teams were trying to lose. What a farce the FA cup is becoming, which is very sad.
  8. Or Burnley at our place and turn them over. I love the cup and hate how the big bucks of the premier league have ruined it.
  9. Call me a traditionalist, but I will be pissed right off, if we lose this by fielding a badly weakened team. Granted we are on a great position in the league, but we should be trying our best to make it through and pocket the money and the chance of a lucrative draw in the next round.
  10. It is a concentration thing that, rather than a lack of ability, as I do believe he has the ability. Cut that out of his game and we have a quality player, at our current level. If we lose him for nothing in the summer it will be an outrage.
  11. I suppose under Venky’s, it could be argued that we are, as I for one, consider that still being in existence, is probably more than I dared to expect roughly 4 years ago.
  12. I rate him and strongly disagree with him being singled out by the manger. To play Bennet in front of him was a joke and I have to say he is one of the best full backs (wing backs if you like) in the current championship.
  13. Hopefully Ryan goes nowhere near this site, as anyone reading some of this, would think we have a liability on our hands.
  14. Exactly, yet Roverite seems to want to blame Nayambe, for almost every goal we have conceded, when he is playing.
  15. Well if you don’t need to go any further what about this. Kaminski needs to start upping his game, as all the goals this season, went between the sticks that he is supposed to guard. His deputy didn’t concede any, so why has he conceded some? I think you have a very strange agenda and I guess you are one of these bully boys, who frightened Big Ben to death in his first couple of years. I suggest you get a grip on reality.
  16. Okay then, just so that your theory isn't also debunked, with of the following would you put down to Nayambe's fault? Swansea 1 07/98/21, Millwall 1 14/08/21, Forest 1 18/08/21, West Brom 2 21/08/21, Middlesbrough 1 28/08/21, Luton 2 11/09/21, Cardiff 1 25/09/21, Huddersfield 28/09/21, Blackpool 2 02/10/21, Coventry 2 16/10/21, QPR 1 19/10/21, Derby 1 30/10/21, Fulham 7 03/11/21, Sheff UTD 1 06/11/21, Bristol City 1 20/11/21, Barnsley 1 29/12/21
  17. Looks to me like the American takeover, was a huge mistake. The old directors have taken the money and run. I suspect a relegation, will be a disaster and see them struggling to make it back to the prem. As for the Dyche out agenda, that’s plain crazy.
  18. Not at all, I am trying to put over, how great it is to be able to look forward to each game. It’s as positive as we have been for over 11 years.
  19. Looking at this in a positive frame of mind, we are still 6 above what could be deemed a play off rival, who are sixth. We have a game in hand and a better goal difference. They came to Ewood on the back of 3 wins, so like us, are in decent form. It goes without saying, a win would have been wonderful, but it was important not to lose, given the opposition. We are still in with a great chance of the top two, so all still to play for. So far as the game was concerned, hard after the first 25 minutes, but an awful pitch given the rain. Very solid at the back again, all hard working and yet another clean sheet. With a two week break from league action, we can rally the groups. To me now, it’s a case of one game at a time, with fingers crossed, we don’t sell anyone.
  20. His contact ends in the summer. Unless we go up, or come very close in the play offs, I can’t see it being renewed.
  21. Its on Rovers TV for those living abroad, so I would think so,
  22. Neither do I but we can hope!!
  23. With the current crowd funding going on to bring the Chilean musician (Renzo music) to a match at Ewood, surely that’s another reason why Big Ben will at least see the season out.
  24. A bit of a cart horse, but tried hard.
  25. The match was beamed back to Ewood, which is where I saw it live. It looked nailed on then, but even more so, when I saw the replay later.
