Exactly. No one is accountable and no one ever has been in 11 years. Unless there is someone to answer too, certain people will do as little as they can to get by. I bet when you look under the bonnet lid at Blackpool, you see a well oiled machine, designed to get the best out of the car it serves. With Rovers it’s a pile of junk and rust, that stutters along. -

What a great pity it is that 11 short years ago, the owners came in, gave Anderson a free reign and allowed him to take a wrecking ball to the club. Had we maintained our status for another 3-4 years, we would have been looking at these figures being applied to us, not some other club, who we now can’t complete with. Even after relegation, we were the team with the parachute money, yet very nearly suffered another relegation, such was their negligence. We are simply not going to recover from that ever. They are still essentially totally negligent and allowing people with an agenda to run amok and just sitting back ignoring it. -

Does it matter. Anyone could do a better job than this, but Venky’s will be still here making their strange decisions and looking for the next bit of bad advice. -

There is no honesty and integrity at the club and it shows. From the owners to the CEO manager and even most players. They just take the piss out of the fans, hence most turning their backs on the club. -

That’s the biggest defeat in my lifetime watching Rovers. No guts, no passion, no style, no quality, no desire and no hope. Venkys are poison and I want rid of them more than ever after this. If Mowbray doesn’t go tonight, that’s got to be the end for even the remaking 9,000 hardy souls. It’s a new low for the club and something drastic needs to be done. Allardyce was sacked after a hammering at Old Trafford. This was Fulham at home. Mowbray out NOW. -

Terrible Rovers fans never gave him a chance. Hopefully Braintree will. I wonder if he is as well paid there, as he was when he got a premier league contract under the odious manager? He could be a late developer and turn into a brilliant tea lady. -

I know for a fact that in every day life, Mark refers to us as Rovers. -

Exactly and I am sure a buying club would look at that, not to mention the medics doing the medical too. Sometimes a bird in the hand, is the way to go, so long as his contract extension isn't chicken feed. -

In a lot of ways, the biggest incentive Nyambe should have, for signing his new contract, should be his injury record. Another club would be taking a chance on that, as would the player himself, by letting his contract run down. -
Obviously people within the game, especially managers, tend to know each other pretty well. Given this story, where no doubt MM has held back a bit, it has to make you wonder, what the prospects are of someone decent taking the job on, in these circumstances?

It almost wants to make me throw up, when I think of the shenanigans, culminating in the likes of Murphy and Etuhu arriving at Ewood with their very suspicious contacts. -

Very good that. Little story about Mark. Probably around 2000 maybe 2001, my lad was doing a bit of weekly football training in Farnworth, near Bolton. He would have been about 11 years old. All the Dads who stayed to watch, used to have a chat, about various things. Most of them were Bolton fans and all knew, I was a Rovers fan. One week when I arrived, one of the Dads saw me getting out of the car and said, the usual coach, isn’t here today, we have an ex Bolton player, so you won’t be happy will you? I got into the changing room and who should the coach, be but Mark. I used to play in the same side, up to being about 14 so know Mark pretty well. All the Dads wondered what was going on, when we renewed acquaintances and swapped numbers. Not one of them knew, he was ex Rovers too and a Rovers fan. I go along with his terrier story too by the way. -
Attendances: A cause for concern
lraC replied to SIMON GARNERS 194's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
You are pretty much spot on with that. I think certain people at the club takes fans for mugs and we are not the only club that do it. I went to a La Liga game yesterday Elche V Real Madrid. Crowd were buzzing and it was almost a full house, Granted the mighty Real Madrid were the visitors, but it was great to see and hear so many passionate fans. Due to going there, I had a closer look at La Liga yesterday and noticed the attendance at the Nou camp, was unbelievably low for Barcelona. It seems even their fans will not take the miss management that is going on and just carry on going regardless. They are voting with their feet and their ground was less than a third full. -
To highlight that, Liverpool of all teams surrendered a two goal lead yesterday and as for Stoke, they were 3 - 0 up against Cardiff, who then scored 3 in 5 minutes to earn a point. Thanks goodness that wasn't us, but it shows it happens to other teams too.

It may well have been used to pay them back some of the debt. Gives them the funds for their next music project, or Bollywood scheme, or even for a few more injections. -

Eleven years is a long time, to keep on employing the wrong people. Time will tell, but they don’t seem to be too interested in that option, for some strange reason. -

I find it remarkable that anyone can consider, the journey under Venkys, can be anything other than negative. From being a premier league club, with manageable debts, to a season in league one and not the nearest sniff of promotion back to the premier League. Add to that, the current debt levels, decline in attendances, decline in the quality of the football and neglect of the stadium and it becomes very hard to see any positives. The latest trend seems to be let player contracts run down and sell them cheap, or for free. A large part of the fan base have understandably become disillusioned with the owners and this latest, significant transaction, carried out under the radar, does not help matters. If you look at the boycotting and demonstrations carried out by Blackpool fans, who eventually drove their suspect owner out, then assuming we follow suit, the people staying away, due to the owners miss management, are highly likely to return at levels higher than the 10% you suggest. Time will obviously tell, but whilst these people own the club, negativity thinly disguised as paranoia, will remain. -

I was paranoid, when they once appointed a manager with no experience, who excelled is spouting bull shit. I was so paranoid, I thought this could end in us being relegated and perhaps mean, we never get back to the premier league in my lifetime. I guess I could just be a paranoid person, or maybe I can spot villains at work, when it is right in front of my nose. -

It’s a worry. Imagine someone buying the club out of administration, who are cobbling the money together to save the club. Option 1 is to pay a rent to the people who ruined the club, to use a training facility. Option 2 is to go back to using the playing fields, in the local park. -

A training ground worth £17 million, after throwing £150 million at it, is hardly anything to write home about.
