Isn't it bizarre that this can happen in Greece and Turkey, but certain people won't accept this could happen in the U.K? We have recently had people say things like illegal bookmakers are illegal not stupid. Perhaps this in Greece though is totally innocent and no one was fixing matches to earn money from betting. A court seems to be suggesting otherwise though, so perhaps, they had evidence to the contrary. Hope the illegal ones in Hong Kong, who aren't stupid, didn't lose too much,

I used to live in Bolton and was married to a Bolton girl too, so have loads of friends and former in laws, who are Bolton fans. What you say about Gartside, is correct and there were definitely agents in there, having a nice time too. Coyle never knew any of them though.!!!
-
A little bit neglectful, shall we say, if we are being kind, or down right skulduggery if not. If this was an honest genuine error, the club would have been a lot more open about it, in my opinion. They have chosen to bury the truth and not for the first time, are quite rightly being challenged.

Yeah that comment by Warnock, was one club, don't know what they are doing and he was definitely referring to Rovers. The story put out by Nick Harris, conforms exactly what you are saying about the Warnock/Coyle fiasco. When it comes to being accountable, Cheston has tried to make out that this has already been dealt with, yet, we as fans, still don't know who exactly appointed Coyle, why and what the consequences of this decision was. So how this has been dealt with is perplexing.

Spot on and I know it is only an opinion on a fans forum, but the link below, is very interesting, especially the comment about the commission the agent received, which sounds all too familiar. For fans from two clubs to now be making up the Coyle/ Anderson connection, just doesn't add up if not true. http://the-wanderer.co.uk/boards/viewtopic.php?p=943049

As we can see from the extract from the Nick Harris article pasted below Anderson has a connection with Crescendo. Whichever way you turn, be it through SEM, Kentaro, Crescendo, or Dave Sheron, Coyle was connected and got the job through that connection, rather then his ability to do the job. Pincher also confided to the FA that Venky's received consultancy services on their takeover from Brunei-based firm Crescendo Sports Limited. He wrote: 'An officer of SEM Limited, Jerome Anderson, has a connection with Crescendo.' Anderson's alleged involvement was a potential conflict of interest if acting both for a potential buyer of a club and the seller. He denied any link to Crescendo or any involvement in Kentaro's contract with Venky's. There were options and I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but Coyle turned out to be every bit as bad, as everyone against the appointment feared.
-
Fair points Vinjay, but of course history tells us that Warnock was nailed on for the job and then out of the blue Coyle is appointed. Nick Harris has covered this on Twitter, along with some other good casts about the takeover. With Coyle being connected to the agents one way or another, you have to wonder what exactly is going on?
-
It is hard to say exactly what has gone on, but if Venkys genuinely thought they were the victims of bad advice, there is just no way, they would keep going back to these same people. I look back and think of how Myles Anderson, for example was given a premier league contract and ask myself, did Venkys get stung here, by paying him big wages and his agent a big finders fee, or were they aware of it all? That's only one small example, but given who it is, then it is a significant example of outright neglect at best, or corruption even. The first thing Owen Coyle did was deny any connection with these agents and their people, which I was all now know was just a smoke screen. So did Venkys allow Coyle's, appointment or are these agents, still in a position of influence at the club and therefore Venkys had no real control over the situation?
-
Absolutely and I bet Valeri Belokon, doesn't invest in any more Companies with any Oyston connection. Once you have had your fingers burnt, you stay clear, but these lot keep going back for more.
-
That's exactly what I have been saying for a while. What causes Venkys to keep going back to them, time after time, for more bad advice?
-
The opportunity is there now, to jump all over this. If a few clubs, who have been fleeced by dodgy owners, get together and make enough noise the powers that be will be to act. Fans United, is a good starting point.
-
I guess it works, if a trip from the premier league to league two and then back to league one again inside 8 seasons, is success. From what the courts verdict is, Oystons appear to have asset stripped BFC, which contributed to their demise. I guess it is the same as Venkys and Rovers, that works too. The fact that we have gone from the premier league to league one and are over £100 million in debt, suggest otherwise, so I guess it is what people consider the term " I guess it works " means.
-
Owen Oyston, put a statement out a couple of years ago, denying any wrong doing and suggesting he was investing heavily in the club. Platitudes from owners like this, when all the fans see, is the team sinking deeper and deeper, never has and never will make any sense. I think the spiel given at the last Bi annual meeting at Ewood, was in a similar vane. Don't worry everyone, things are on track. http://www.opnlttr.com/letter/owen-oyston’s-open-letter-blackpool-fans

I think it's Saturday games only
-
There is only one club I can think of that this would be appropriate for, although we could start a team. Peter Schmeichel (The Great Dane) El Hadj Woof Harry Kane ine Diddier Dogba Rio Fur dinand John Terrier Johan Cruyfts David Barkham Dwight Yorkie Thierry er Henry Wilfried Bone Y The entire Huddersfield team are Terriers too and thet could play at Ewood Bark. http://www.barking-fc.co.uk/

Perhaps we should use the under 23's and management team for the next chuck it away trade game. I know that would lead to a fine, but if that proves that they are a better side than the first team, it will be worth the fine.
-
Looks like that's midweek only, reading the link, none available on a Saturday.
-
It is being shown on six different channels all abroad.
-
For anyone abroad, who has been subscribing to I Follow, it isn't on that tonight, but it is available on other channels. I have got Bein Sport 9 and it is definitely on there.
-
They seem to be putting the first 11 to shame.
-
Perhaps they have done this on purposes, as they don't want to be picking up this award again and sending staff down to London, all expenses paid, to pick up the award! It is with great delight that Blackburn Rovers has been named the Nickelodeon Family Club of the Year at the 2017 EFL Awards. Rovers went head-to-head with Brighton & Hove Albion for the coveted Championship award, which was presented to staff at a glittering awards ceremony in London this evening.

Some very good debate on this topic today and glad to see different opinions, which is after all, what football is all about.
-
The lads who have seen him play, will no doubt be in a good position to comment. There is one thing for sure, the step up, is quite often greater than people realise. I do recall us signing a non league striker years ago called Paul McKinnon. He was prolific at none league level and many thought he would make it, be failed miserably at Ewood. Signed for Slough in the summer of 1991 from Sutton United. Made 525 appearances for Sutton, scoring 278 goals in the process. McKinnon also played abroad in Sweden playing for Malmo and briefly in the Football League for Blackburn Rovers. Scored 36 times for Slough in his 97 apperances for the Rebels.

This is complete ridiculous and needs bring to the attention of the media. Josh I think you have Alan Myers E Mail and I know he communicated with the fans, will he help, or do we have other Avenues?
