Eh? We're on the crest of a slump and he's changed it up. Surely that's the right thing to do? Otherwise he'd be accused of not having a Plan B.
It’s definitely they way to go. Understandably, Morton being included again, is causing some consternation. I think it’s the last chance saloon for him today and unless he puts in a good 45 minutes, expect him to be subbed at half time.
He cannot hide today, as we won’t get away with it, given the full in the face football, we will be up against.

One or both could be a sub I guess.
I hope he starts both.
My stomach is churning already, as I am dreading a no show and a meek defeat. I hope we turn them over and add some much needed hope back in to the team and the fans.

The last team not to get promoted, Huddersfield got 94.2 Million over 3 yrs
They also had owners at the time, with rather questionable motives.

Is there anything more humiliating than wearing a Burnley shirt?
Yes wearing the shorts and socks as well.

I’m not giving up, under TM I probably would’ve done, but JDT does have a knack of picking up a result when it looks like we are about to enter a death cycle.
He needs one today, like never before. I have a horrible dread about it though.

Is this not as much to do with the poor service our strikers get? I appreciate Gally isn't the best but if the ball spends its' time in our half as we pass it around at the back there's not much he can do.
I suppose that would be a valid argument if he was at least looking good when he got those touches, but from what I see, he doesn't. As one other has said, in response, those touches have been poor in the main.

He's good enough. Best I've seen in the youth for a while. Always plays well against the better Cat 1s...I think he will take to championship football and has a knack of scoring.
Mowbray is a dick and JDT has only been here less than a year. I expect HL to be in or around the squad soon
Hope it's as soon as tomorrow, as I have a feeling he will get more than 11 touches in each half.

For those who don't go on this site, it mentions that Gallagher has had 43 touches over the last 2 games.
That screams out at me, that something is badly wrong. even if you went into hiding on the pitch, if you touch the ball less than 11 times each half and your job is to score goals, you need to have a serious look at yourself.
No way would I be choosing a player whose contribution is so poor, if I was the manager.

Thinking about it, can TimmyJimmy please report to the new Leeds Road (whatever they are calling it these day) with a pair of boots 😊

At least we've had some highlights this season. In the top 6 for nearly all of it. Beat West Ham, Leicester and Spurs away in the Cups.
That pulsating Cup game at Bramall Lane where we should have won.
Apart from a promotion from Div i, seems eons ago, what memorable moments can we take from 5 years of Mowbray? Not one Cup run in 5 years in either com and, hardly ever in the top 6. Attendances sliding every year.
I'll judge JDT when he's had at least on decent transfer window---at the minimum that means an outstanding mid-fielder as good as O'Brien, someone to replace Brereton and another striker who knows where the net is.
If we keep the players we have ( apart from the Chilean) and got those 3 in and JDT fails then, no argument from me, his heads on the block.
I must have missed Spurs away. What score was that one?

Bloody predictive texting! Of course it was Mick Heaton. It’s just done it again. I’ve just had to go back and change it. Also used to see Sir Roger Jones down Quebec Road.
Mick Ended up living in a council house in Darwen. I used to see his partner quite a lot in Darwen leisure centre at the gym. It was very sad how he lost his life on the Grane Road.

As long as we get back on track and turn them over at Ewood, I can live with it.
I don’t want to see them celebrating our demise at Ewood and a nice little victory over them against the odds, might just send them back over the Pennines with egg on their collective faces.

Yeah. Morton and Travis both had shockers. Couldnt find good forward passes and lost the ball cheaply time after time. Really disappointing as Trav has been so good recently. Almost verged on the amateurish. Wharton literally didnt put a foot wrong in his 20 mins.
Id be really surprised if he does not start on Monday. Seems nailed on to me. Part of me wonders if Garrett could come in and give Travis a rest too. But that's probably unlikely.
I would be surprised if he starts Garrett and Wharton, but hope he starts Adam and let’s him showcase his talent.

I can’t see anything other than a defeat here and at better than 2/1 it might be a case of lump on and drown my sorrows with the profit.
We seem to be the nearly men still, despite the change in the management structure.
Adam Wharton must start and I will be very pissed off, if he doesn’t.
Hopefully BBD is being fed Paella and Tapas, as we speak and it gives him the energy he has been lacking.
Gally should be on the bench and Dolan should be given a start with the instructions to make life as uncomfortable as he can for their back four.
The first goal will be crucial, concede early and we will fold.
If we are still in the top six after Monday my Tuesday morning run, will me in the nude.

Yep. I would like to see both Wharton brothers in as well.

Adam definitely has that touch of start quality, you could see that again today.
He should be given a chance.

A win puts us in a very strong position, but a draw is certainly not a disaster.
Hope we go for it and effectively put Norwich out of contention.

The problem we've got is that the 2 players that need to be dropped don't have replacements.
Gally needs dropping but we don't have another striker fit and JDT doesn't want to try Brereton there. Gally was completely anonymous today, didn't show the willingness he has done last few games.
Morton also needs dropping. But we need a technical midfielder who can take the ball of the centre backs, it's the vital role in that midfield. Travis can't play that role, Garrett isn't good enough on the ball to do that. Buckley is out injured and hopefully could get back if we made the playoff ls but I think I'm being overly optimistic. Adam Wharton is the obvious suggestion but doesn't seem to have been in favour since his injury.
I am beginning to wonder what is happening with Adam Wharton. The rumors about his spat after the Burnley game, are perhaps true, as he simply seems to have been frozen out ever since. I know he has had an injury, but why was he not at least on the bench?
From the limited times I have seen him, he deserves another go and think he could well have done a better job than some in this game and definitely want to see him play some part in the next two.
If there has been a fall out, surely that can now been forgotten and forgiven. Let’s get him involved and see if he can build on his good, albeit limited start.

I rememer it being said that the 'away club' has to pay for the damage caused by their own supporters, but don't know if that is a urban myth.

My point being, for the UTC crowd viewing and commenting on this, is that if we genuinely are reducing your allocation because we believe it gives us an advantage on the pitch then we should be doing it to all clubs we play. But we aren’t. Personally I have no idea and think you should have at least all the top tier (3k)
What I do know is someone suggested to me after the game was rearranged, but long before the announcement was made, that it was going to be low. This was because we have a home game a few days later, and there was concern regarding the state that the toilets, tvs etc would be left in at Ewood after previous visits. I suppose this leaves half of the BBE lower and all the upper undamaged for Luton. That was from ‘a friend of a friend who works at the club’. I took it as nonsense at the time and still think it probably is, but here we are.
It may well not be nonsense. Damaging the facilities has happened before, so let’s face it, giving them a smaller area to cause the damage, may well work out saving more money, than they would make on the extra 7,000 tickets.
-
What we should really have done is given them to 2,000 free of charge.
That way, the club have offered a friendly gesture to them, that they would never repeat and those missing out, would be even more pissed off.

Venkys are now more competent than 90%+ of owners.
They were rock bottom but the last 6 years have been a dramatic improvement
I don't want to sound like I am undermining you here in any way, but would you mind clarifying?
Can you perhaps highlight 5 things that have turned them to rock bottom 6 years ago (your words) to being in the top 10% of current owners?
