  1. For those planning going to the games, the link below will help with a flight to Murcia Airport. The flights are not as plentiful to Murcia as they are to Alicante, but possibly cheaper to Murcia in late July. Manchester is possibly best for those close to Blackburn. So far as the distance to the Pinatar stadium is concerned, it’s around a 30 minute drive from Murcia airport and 50 minutes from Alicante. https://www.skyscanner.net/flights-to/rmu/cheap-flights-to-region-de-murcia-international-airport.html
  2. That’s right. I think most people probably think the Alicante flight is the one to take, due to club mentioning Benidorm. It’s best to get a flight to Murcia, as the ground is much closer to Murcia Airport. The ground itself, only holds about 3,000 so will be nice and compact. So far as I know, the opposition haven’t been mentioned yet, so no idea, how many are likely to attend.
  3. Good luck with getting an answer on that one, straight or otherwise. Even one to keep a bit of credibility, would be a start, such as, I think I was fobbed off, as it’s clear to see, things did not materialise, in the way he promised.
  4. With the bits most posters on here know, I would be very surprised if everything has been totally above board for the last 15 years. My opinion is they are less than 50% sure that any bond posted, will be returned.
  5. Money laundering can be investigated cross border. Not certain if this is the case here, by any stretch of the imagination, but think it’s a serious matter, when property is being seized.
  6. Be careful of slipping on the steps coming out and if I were you, I would print any previews of the films out before you go, as they have stopped doing programmes.
  7. It seems they misrepresented the activities of their business to the state bank of India. This can seem quite trivial, but, if you are obtaining funding that way, it is a very serious offence. Obtaining money by deception/ mortgage fraud.
  8. At Reading there was non payment of taxes and wages . For the authorities to be trying to enforce a sale of a club requires there to be very serious infractions - not dissatisfaction from supporters. I don't think that a court case and an article in the Indian Press, suggesting illegal remittances , can really be described as dissatisfaction from supporters to be honest. 9. Yeah. I am sure some will be pro and some will be anti ED. Amazing that we are hear as Rovers fans, discussing Indian court cases. Never the Twain.
  10. Sounds like the ED are gunning for them and do not want them really sending anything. That's just my opinion though.
  11. So, just a short term cashflow problem then and not much for us to worry about?
  12. I think a poster on here, once trivialised this in the past, but here is an extract from the link posted above. So, assuming the article is accurate the owners have stated that Venky's overseas limited has been declared to the state bank of India, as a business that is trading in agriculture and mining and rearing of ducks and hens amongst other. That sounds to me, pretty much like fraud, but maybe that is an over reaction. The ED’s investigation revealed that VHPL had declared the business of VOL to the Reserve Bank of India as agriculture and mining, including rearing of ducks, hens, among others. No such business activity, however, was ever undertaken by VOL even after the lapse of over 11 years since its incorporation, said the ED sources.

  14. Not wanting to really start up this impediment argument all over again and it is the last I will EVER say on the matter, but I teach (as a hobby) a Spanish youth some English, so the meaning of certain words, is part of my every day life and does help him with his college work. We regularly refer to both the Oxford and Cambridge dictionaries, for clarification on words, as you can imagine, getting the meaning wrong, and translating it to from English to Spanish and vice versa, can prove to be important. The Oxford Dictionary meanings for both words is below. Inconvenient = A hindrance, trouble or difficulty Impediment = Something that interferes with a process, power or right.
  15. Impediment means to have a hindrance or obstruction in doing something and that is certainly the case with the bank and the NOC. I think the word inconvenient has a much less stringent meaning, as in, the need to send it to be checked first, before being given the green light. That in my view is inconvenient, but having to add 50% and previously 100% to any funding, in order to send it, is not an inconvenience but a pretty severe impediment.
  16. I knew you were with it, but hopefully our conversation, has helped some people get a better grasp of it too, as it is a bit miss leading.
  17. That's stating, the senior counsel for the petitioner (Venky's) want the requirement for a bank guarantee removing. For now it has been reduced to 50% hence two impediments remaining, until considered at an appropriate stage. They have spelt relieved wrong and it reads relived, but that can be forgiven, perhaps.
  18. Absolutely correct, the No objection certificate (Impediment 1) and the reduced bond (impediment 2) still exist, so it is down to the owners now, to decide if they want to risk more bond money or wait until 03/08/25 and hope the impediments are lifted. My guess is they will send no money until at least that next hearing.
