  1. Rovers seem to owe VLL £220 million, so how they now about getting that back should be interesting. If these were illegal payments, do they need to be repaid on demand and by who?
  2. I have been on here a long time and although I haven’t read everything you have posted, what you have said about these owners seems to be pretty accurate.
  3. No doubt that was done before the article was written. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps even Waggott wasn't aware of this. He is now.
  4. I have just sent this. Dear Steve, Further to my E Mail of 27/09/2023 I write to further express my concerns about the very future of our club. I note to date, I have not received an E Mail to my original post, but maybe that is due to the IT issues the club have recently experienced. The biggest reason for this follow up E Mail, is due to several articles that have appeared recently in the Indian press, an example of which, there is a link to below. https://www.aninews.in/news/national/general-news/ed-seizes-immovable-properties-worth-over-rs-24-cr-of-venkateshwara-hatcheries-under-fema-provisions20231009204844/ When reading the bit highlighted here ED initiated an investigation in connection with the illegal remittances made by the company from 2010 to date to it's wholly owned subsidiary, named Venky's London Limited Cardiff UK. I am filled with absolute dread. I wonder if you could take the time to respond to this, as I am sure, the club will need to provide the loyal fans with an update, as news like this spreads amongst the fan base. I guess rumours are bound to circulate about the real reason for certain recent cuts being made, in particular, the reported change of the “project” of the club and things like the closure of the Blackburn end for the recent cup fixture.
  5. If the below, copied form the article does not worry EVERY Rovers fan, then what will. ED initiated an investigation in connection with the illegal remittances made by the company from 2010 to date to it's wholly owned subsidiary, named Venky's London Limited Cardiff UK.
  6. Could this now be the beginning of the end. Reading this, seems to suggest that yet more properly has been seized. Given the shit being fed about the tax changes, that were responsible for the project changing and no funds being available, perhaps now is the time for someone to come clean. This is looking pretty serious to me now, so a touch of mortgage fraud, or a tiny bit of tax avoidance, will no longer wash. Assuming that the ED are now really onto them, will the next tranche of funds , to pay the wages and general running of the club, be forthcoming?. I guess we now know why Waggott really closed the Blackburn end, there were no funds to pay the wages of the staff required? His PA could be busy over the next few days, replying to fans E Mails, to tell us, that there is nothing to see here. I wonder when we will be opening an account with Uber to get the players to the next away match, after our new coach gets snatched back, or when the website mysteriously goes down again, or even the phone lines. This feels like BIG trouble now.
  7. Agreed, it was very much the minority, which is probably the case too with the Villareal fans.
  8. I remember distinctly on here, a number of posters suggesting that the matches behind closed doors, helped to rebuild his confidence, which was allegedly affected at the time, due to a minority, getting to him.
  9. I remember him leaving the field in tears at one point (someone posted that on here) and although it was probably the minority, I’m afraid some did turn on him.
  10. There are some very strange slang quotes, if you translate them literally, but that’s the Spanish language for you. In every day life, just as we see in English, phrases that make no grammatical sense exists. The real cutting ones are a lot more hurtful than what we would expect in the UK though.
  11. If he can handle the criticism then fair enough. From what I saw when Rovers fans turned on him, before his Diaz days, I think it could break him. He will not come good in La Liga and the abuse looks to be unabated.
  12. Some of the fans are really getting on his back now. If you think some of our players get abuse on here, that’s quite mild compared to some of the comments from Villareal fans. It always a step above his real level, going to a top tier club in Spain and even though they got him on a free, his signing on fee and wages will no doubt be substantial. I don’t know the length of his contact, but can’t imagine he will still be there next season, unless they get relegated.
  13. Venky’s valuation, will not have been arrived it by them. I doubt they would know the offside rule and that a game has two halves of 45 minutes. Someone else will have given them this figure and perhaps it was someone, who would benefit from him walking away for nothing.
  14. BBD is a disaster so far at Villarreal.
  15. For those who need a reminder and those who have never seen it, here is a link to a story about our initial transfer dealings under the then, new ownership. People on the inside back then, were prepared to go public about such matters, but sadly that is no longer the case. I suppose we were lucky back then, that we had an agent who used to work free of charge. Perhaps we just have someone now who doesn’t tell us about the fees we pay for our bargains. https://www.sportingintelligence.com/2012/01/15/revealed-the-letter-that-exposes-the-history-of-blackburn-rovers-crisis-150102/
  16. Remember the “bargain” we got with the Rochina signing from Barcelona. I remember the agents fee at the time, being way out of line with the norm and questions being asked about it. Its strange how our players somehow leave for bargain fees or free still, even though these lessons have been learned and we used to be badly advised.
  17. I remember from the very early days of Venky’s tenure, that a company called the global 11 were involved in some sort of third part ownership scheme. I know that the Formica deal was rejected at one point, due to this and was later accepted due to it being presented in a different format. It was around the time that West Ham were also involved in something similar, with Tevez. I do wonder, given the reluctance to accept offers for certain players and also given our propensity to go for the odd “Marquee” signing, if there is still some sort of hidden third party type deal, still in the background somewhere?
  18. He will be very lucky to get back to the UK at second tier level now. He was never going to cut the mustard in La Liga, as it’s not too far behind the prem, at the very top.
  19. It’s a great feeling tonight to be feeling happy again, with a Rovers performance. Disappointing as it was, we looked far better at the back at Cov and that continued today. As has already been stated, QPR were poor, but you can only beat what’s in front of you. I was really chuffed for Dolan. Granted he has his limitations, but his last two games have been far better than the previous few. Hill looks like a decent loan, Walstead a lot more Assured than Pears and I think we have found a gem in Siggurdson. Another decent game from Szmodics too, who is justifying the faith the manager clearly has in him. Enjoy your night guys and up the mighty blues.
  20. A big ten minutes coming up. Keep it tight, stop their momentum and we could get a couple more.
  21. You are absolutely right. The poster did state that big changes were on the horizon and we could expect a brighter future. What exactly where you promised and are you prepared to accept that like the rest of us, Roverite, you were also fed a lot of bullshit by Waggott?
  22. The two Ian’s. That offer they made would look so tempting now and I do wonder if Venky’s regret refusing to listen. a I did have a chat to Ian Battersby, shortly before that offer was made and I’m certain, it was genuine too. I guess that ends further weight to my theory that they are hiding something.
  23. There has to be a willing seller and it appears that everyone and his wife knows, they do not wish to sell. Exactly why they don't want to sell is up for debate, as it makes no sense them staying around, to either lose £20m per year, or reduce the funding and see us begin to falter. For what it's worth, my theory is, there is some dark secret hidden away and would come out, if due diligence was carried out.
  24. Horrible news that and I hope you and your family can rally round her give her the support she needs and you support her to a full recovery. Its a terrible illness, all the best, I’m sure we are all wishing you all the best on here.
