v Chelsea (a) - 1/11/23 - Carabao Cup
lraC replied to pick32's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It is on a few channels in various countries, including Spain, so I can get it. It is silly that that Rovers TV can't show it, even if it was a pay per view, rather the than included in the season package they sell.. -
They may not to quite as good next year, if they do come down. I have a feeling the yanks were somehow persuaded to spend big and back Kompany to excel in the prem. If it does backfire and they come back down, they could well tighten the purse strings and put an end to their yo yo years, at least between the prem and championship anyway.

I think I saw him holding his ribs. Possibly picked up a knock there. -

Put that early Brittain chance away and it was a different game. We have started like that about 3 times now. -
Another minute and the fans would have had a hand full.

Their manager is just about to come on Sky to have a moan about VAR. They got a goal disallowed in last few mins that took 5 mins to review. What a shame!!!
-
Hope they don’t go to the dentist, before Wednesday.

They are poor are poor at the back. Early goal in the second half and we can win this. -

Bare at the back suddenly -
You can tell that he went there to enhance his career then and not for the money.

So how many does Henderson play in front of?
-
Could be an interesting one, especially after the so called City investigation last year. That seemed to die a death, will this?

They got a lot of their old fanbase back and more besides, due to the way they presented to way forward and the future for their club. It is a pity, the decision makers at Ewood are not prepared to look at this model for some reason and at least embrace some of it. Their current manager took some bedding in and had to accept an awful lot of stick initially, but has got it right and they are moving in the right direction again.

I know you didn't ask me and I therefore apologise for jumping in. I follow what happens at Bolton a fair bit, not because I have any love for the club, but because my late ex- wife was from Bolton and I therefore have a lot of former in laws who lived in the town and support the club. My kids were also brought up there and went to school there and have mates who are Wanderers fans. After Phil Gartside sold out, the club were bought by Ken Anderson and their former player, Dean Houldsworth. Funds used to buy the club, were mainly borrowed and there was a huge power struggle between, the two that Houldsworth lost. Anderson took control and some of the things that happened to that club, were downright despicable. A quick Google search for anyone interested will show what happened and is a prime example of the sort of thing that can happen, even after a sale to what appears to be, better custodians. Another one that springs to mind is Portsmouth, who if my memory serves me correctly had 3 or 4 owners in a very short space of time, all of whom appeared to have ulterior motives. I can't wait to see the back of Venky's, but there are no guaranteed that we will end up in the hands of decent people.

We never win when we go behind, unless it’s Millwall away. -

It’s there for the taking this, if we can step it up a bit. We are poor, but they are awful, especially at the back. -

A tale of 2 tities? -
Venkateswara London Limited (company number 13452736) have 2 current Directors, namely Prashan Laxman Gomashe and Ketan Shrikant Ranade, both of them are Indian. The do not seem to be directly related to Venky's. The charge of the training ground has been placed by Crossbaron Limited, whose two directors are Anil Kumar Pitalia and Asha Pitalia, who are both British. Their address is listed as 25 Chorley new road Bolton. 13452736

We will no doubt find out, way after the event, so it could already have happened. It is if and when we hear that the players haven't been paid that we realise how dire things are. My guess is that this will happen, before the end of the year and I still think the website being down, the phone lines being down and the closure of the Blackburn end and even the close of one of the refreshment points on Saturday, were all due to cash flow issues.
