  1. Let's face it, the ability to fund the club and the ability to send money from India to the UK are two vastly different issues, hence the confusion here and the phrase cleverly worded statement, being banded about. Throw the word should into the equation and no wonder there are conflicting posts on here about what is and what isn't fact. My understanding is, that they cannot send funds just now and it remains to be seen, if they will still be unable to, after the court hearing in August, should this take place. A statement along the lines of "The owners have confirmed that, despite the difficulties encountered in sending funds from India to fund the club, these problems have now been resolved, so they can now continue do so and will therefore send these funds as required". That's nice and clear, does not contain the word SHOULD and does mention funds being sent to the UK from India. I do not for one second believe they can issue a statement similar to that.
  2. Hi Mike, I have no intention of being obnoxious here, I genuinely want to get this right, so would you mind posting what the club did actually state on this matter?
  3. I think in his heart of hearts, Eustace knows only too well, that we are in big trouble this coming season. As we know from his statements made so far, he is happy to trot out the kind of stuff that keeps the Rovers officials happy and a certain number of fans too. I also, think he knows deep down that we will not be signing four of five quality players either. What he apparently stated last night at the Trust meeting about improving on last years finishing position says a lot and I guess reflects the approach we saw to games last year. He is on a hiding to nothing and with the propaganda still coming out of the club, sadly, he is only adding to it.
  4. To be fair, the club (Waggott) ably assisted by Elliott Jackson, have muddied the water with the statements made about this. The August court hearing will have a huge bearing on the future ownership and it has been massively played down. If it does go against them, be prepared for some real back covering, as there are going to be a few people left with red faces.
  5. That’s actually not what was stated. It was stated that it has nothing to do with Rovers, which is correct. It does however, relate to their ability to fund Rovers, as they are seeking permission to send funds overseas again. If this is denied and they cannot fund us any more, it’s the end for them in my opinion.
  6. Probably, but I can’t accept his input on that game, as it wasn’t really his doing.
  7. Any predictions for when Eustace will get his first home win?
  8. It may well have been something that Elliott Jackson has touted around, but people seem to think they can send funds now. They can’t and this will become very clear, as the window continues with Rovers spending very little or nothing. By the time the court hearing takes place, even if it goes their way (which I doubt) there will be very little activity so far as transfers in are concerned. We will not be spending £7m in fact I will stick my neck out and say we will not be spending £2m even if we sell Szmodics, as expected.
  9. Putting tonight’s game to one side, there is an interesting scenario tomorrow and one that has the bookies running for the hills. Romania play Slovakia and a draw sees them both qualify. The draw is less than evens and 0-0 around 7/2. No guarantees but it could be as good a bet as the general election one, that is in the news at the min.
  10. The MD Elton Ashworth is a big Rovers fan.
  11. I don't know how many games, we will have played by the end of August, but in my view, if we are waiting until then, to make any proper signings, we could be giving our rivals a head start. I remember the Owen Coyle season, when he trotted out the line "Judge me at the end of the transfer window". I had already made my mind up about him by then and along with many others, was pretty much correct. It is an easy excuse for not getting off to a good start and really fear for us, if we don't get at least 4 new signings in by the time we play our first league game. Hopefully we won't give other clubs a head start and go on to regret it.
  12. It is more than that to be honest, but still in my view pretty low. It is 100% correct that it is Watson Ramsbottom and I do know the exact figure, but would rather keep that to myself for now.
  13. I have to admit, I was surprised at the cost too. I know we are no longer premier league and won’t attract multi million pound deals, but this was nowhere near £1m even.
  14. New sponsors are Watson Ramsbottom solicitors.
  15. If we end up signing Ruddy, we could have Ruud, Ruddy and Rudy, sat amongst us at the two Derby games. I don't want to be too Rude, but it is getting Ruddy ridiculous.
  16. I agree, so perhaps them stating this in numbers, would be an idea. I would be amazed if it is 25% or more, but like you, don't want to sound too negative.
  17. Given his connection with King Rat and his refusal to play for Rovers, the guest appearance by our latest "head of", at the Trust meeting next week, could be interesting. I am out of the UK but I look forward to logging onto the stream.
  18. Ruddy hell, or should that be Rudy hell?
  19. My guess is that you will need to remove the 0 and even then, it is likely to be lower. It's all the fans fault though, for not buying enough season tickets.
  20. To be fair, I don't think there are that many on here. Some people take the we'll support you ever more to mean, exactly that, irrespective of what is happening. Supporting the club right now in my opinion, is doing what you can, to oust the people who are literally destroying the very fabric of the club and all that it stands for. Sadly, there are far too many shady people there at the minute, starting with the owners and filtering down to at least two of the people running the show from inside Ewood Park. We owe it to Jack Walker and the club itself, to keep fighting the fight and making things uncomfortable, when we can, not a free reign and built in excuses for failure and corruption, which seems to be the case with some. I thought we had heard the last of the badly advised narrative, but maybe not.
  21. It’s a bit like pressing the wrong button. Just a typical day in the every day saga of a none functioning club.
  22. Just 12 short months ago, we were going into a season with optimism, having finished 7th and had a bright young manager, playing an attractive and largely successful brand of football. Once the season ticket sales had ended, we were told about the change of plan, dressed up as changes in Indian tax laws, which resulted in a cut in funding. This as we now know, was in essence the owners found to be sending illegal funds, which was the real reason for the cut and since then a series of conflicting messages have been slowly released. What sort of further bad news will come out after the season ticket sales are completed this year, remains to be seen, but further chaos will ensue and the fans will continue to suffer.
  23. Head of the heads is being recruited as we speak.
