I am speaking to a client today around 3.00pm, who happens to me a journalist covering MCFC for one of the red tops. He normally has the low down on things, so I will ask him if he knows anything and if there are any rumblings.

I am hoping that Venky's have been well and truly rumbled this time. For those who don't know, I went in to see Waggott in November, after E Mailing him about the article in the Indian press about illegal payments being made by the owners. I asked him about the court hearing carried out, prior to my meeting with him and he was full of bluster about how this was always going to be a formality and given that they had "set a precedent" he enthused that the meeting in March was just to rubber stamp the next tranche. He also disclosed that there was enough money in the bank, for the club to meet it's obligations until February. One thing I have always had at the back of my mind, is that Venky's stated that they were protecting their investment, by sending these funds, which I guess is a backdoor way of saying that unless they are allowed to send further funds, their investment goes bump. As we know, they are under deep scrutiny at the minute, so perhaps someone has had a close look at their investment and maybe decided that pumping £200m into it and finding it to be worth around a quarter of that amount (if that) means any further funds are highly unlikely to be protecting anything, in fact quite the opposite, the funds are simply diminishing almost instantly. It is speculation on my part, but if the Indian authorities are scrutinising funds leaving the country, then maybe they want to know that it is a sound investment and perhaps they are beginning to realise it is far from sound and are on the verge of stopping any further funds being sent. It is then either put the club up for sale, or administration, which may well happen anyway, between now and August.

I honestly believe that it depends on where you live and what your circumstances are, but do accept it might be a step too far for some. I live in a little Spanish Town not far from Alicante and hardly anyone speaks English. Unless you are prepared to learn Spanish, you simply won’t get by. I have spent around 8 years on it, starting in my early fifties. It hasn’t been easy, but I do speak it pretty well. To make matters slightly worse, I have lost 60% of my hearing, so use hearing aids too. I do love a challenge, so feel pretty proud of my achievements.

I'm pretty sure that's not correct. I think he was due a bonus when he left, but nothing like that level, so far as I am aware.

I think it will be higher this year and suspect that at least 48 points are going to be needed.

It can become somewhat insulting at times, to be told something in an interview, that you know full well is simply not correct. After watching Rovers and football in general for 52 years, I know what is and what isn't a good performance and to be told anything other than the Newcastle games, were good performances, is either a lie or blatant exaggeration.

There are some serious doubts about who put that money up too.

The no shots on target may not be what was being targeted and it may well be that there was no fixing going on at all. Please read what PhilipL has had to say though on the WBA game and all I would ask, is keep an open mind.

Hi Eddie, You may well be right, but are you aware of one of the posters on here, who was threatened, his pregnant wife assaulted and him also being offered bribes to back off from doing the investigating he was prepared to do at the time? Now that may all have been for some innocent reason, but, he was trying to get to the truth and all this happened to him. FACT.

I don't know if it is available on a legal or illegal market, but assuming total teams shots are, then it stacks up. Someone has suggested spot fixing, rather than throwing the game and that seems to make more sense to me. I am not saying, I am definitely correct, but when you look at what Philips has also posted about the WBA game, things are looking a touch suspicious in my opinion.

Remember, we had paid up the contracts of several established players and then brought in, those wanted by the manager and his agent. Granted a team game is harder to fix than an individual sport, but if we had 3 or 4 players all in on it, then it becomes a lot more likely. Statements made about Ryan being on traction and other crazy things said, are coming sharply back into focus.

We would be another Luton, only without the bounce. That's unless they leave of course and tomorrow could be the start.

It might be prove very little, but given at least what a few of us on here suspect, it might tell a tale. I suspect no shots at all, is a VERY rare occurence. I hated Orr already, but hate him even more now.

I wonder how often that happens? For a team not to have a single shot either on or off target, I would think is pretty rare. If I get time later I might check the last fees days fixtures.

If we go down, we will not finish in the top half. I think is a lot more likely that we will end up in the fourth tier than bouncing back and we will still have a lunatic fringe defending the owners. Where would we be without them?

The guy who wrote the article was rather cutting and injected plenty of humor. It was as though he had been primed that this one was fixed.

I could substitute the first word as Waggott and it wouldn’t look out of place.

I am basing what I think on what I saw on Tuesday and yesterday. We were all over the place at the back yesterday. It wasn’t as though some slick passing or great through balls were opening us up, a simple punt over the top and their striker was through. That happened at least 3 times and let’s face it, we were very lucky not to get hammered.

I wonder if their manager announced before the game, that is wasn’t a must win, to take the pressure off?

We will definitely get beat and assuming Boro can finish better than Plymouth can, it will be resounding. Given the return of 4 points from 6 games and no wins so far, this will rank as one of the worst starts ever for a Rovers boss. There will still be no action taken and the odd poster still believing we will stay up. PS Huddersfield just went one up.
