  1. It was an awful game, on a windy plastic pitch, but the rock was the best thing. Anonymous, but the ROI were dreadful.
  2. Louie Annesley playing for Gibraltar against Ireland at the moment. Number six.
  3. Just a thought, if we crash out of you know what, can we revive the home Internationals and keep beating the other three all the time?
  4. Well Engerland are at it again, Against the CZE, as it says on the telly box. First things first, there was a lovely tribute to Gordon Banks. And a very brief mention of Fred Pickering, but no photo...... I loved Banks, never saw Fred, but a bit more would have been nice. The City little fellow has put us one nil up. Onwards and upwards?
  5. Back on track at Guiseley, 4-0 up so far.
  6. Looks like they are going to lose their 100% record, away to second placed Sunderland.
  7. You're a gent, just my mate is a Villain, and he can give an update on their progress!
  8. I did say I would do Villa away, as I did the home game, but no problem if Arbitro wants to do it. I'll do W+nky Wanderers instead, if still in existance.
  9. Nobbers now winning....unbelievable.
  10. Always very subjective, especially as the game has moved on, sometimes not for the better. I dislike Ronaldo for his lack of humility, I think Beckham has more, but Ronaldo a better player. I can never forgive Maradona for you know what, but I also think morally and personally he was corrupt, despite having phenomenal talent. Cruyff was probably the best of the "modern" post 70's players, but Pele was something else. Just never tested himself, apart from in the World Cup, outside his native country, until the US came calling. Messi for me, just behind Shearer in a four year spell. Was crap thereafter!
  11. The Brummie tool got 14-weeks. Banned for 10-years.
  12. A few reasons why I won't be attending on Saturday: 1. Preston should have been limited to the allocation they gave us. That is DE lower. 2. The game should be at 3pm. My son, who I would go with, has tennis lessons on a Saturday morning, 11-12.30. Paid for, and he loves it. 3. This was an ideal opportunity, after a bad month, to do a Rovers promotion, £15 any part of the ground to get bottoms on seats, open the full BE, get an atmosphere. 4. The Waggott factor is not doing it for me. He does not have the best interests of the club at heart. He is a Venky puppet. 5. They have made this a Nobber away fest. It's a joke. 6. I want to come back, but I'm not paying those prices to watch a team who seem to be so unmotivated we are losing to inferior opposition. 7. The club hierarchy continue to play with the club. 8. Lastly, I may well despair at TM's team selection. I hope we win, in fact I'll be very happy. But I won't be there to see it. That is what still pisses me off.
  13. I am just impressed as a politician, he managed to win it the second time!
  14. I just wonder why, after such a high profile signing, and the ignominy of being on the bench for so long, and lack of obvious comfort in the first team, it's taken so bloody long to give him game time in the U23's!!
  15. The tea thread is up and running!
  16. PS....never badger's piss (Yorkshire tea).
  17. Now we have some serious debate, .....Assam every time!
  18. Thanks, M, then time will tell. I just hope he arrests the slide, keeps us up, and gets the opportunity to do what he says. I still have grave reservations as to his ability to carry this out, and whether they will give him the funds to do it.
  19. If allowed? Did he mention how his relationship is with the idiots? Will they splash the cash? Are they still keeping up Jack's legacy? No dig at you, I appreciate your reporting, but you said it was a friendly crowd, and very few real answers about those that bank roll us. I just think if we continue to lose, and struggle towards the end of the season whether they will back him.
  20. In my view Waggott is a symptom, not a solution. He has an agenda. I have no doubt he said they have gone as far as they can with attendances.......well that's quite bo**ocks. He's in a job for which he is no doubt on a very decent salary. We are back to the simple premise the Loons have no idea what is going on at the club, and he makes all the right noises to stay in situ. I feel little has changed, save for TM is a decent bloke, but has no doubt had some say in getting Waggott in. The underlying problem will always be there, until the blight is banished. We are always one moment from further disaster.
