  1. Long may it continue........at work today there are already plans from the few for a relegation "party" come May!
  2. They (he) is brain dead, they bring 7,000, we take 1,000, if we are generous, madness, save for Steve informing Madam Clueless it was a bumper crowd at our gaff.
  3. I was just looking back as I have only ever been to Newcastle once for a match, it was a bloody awful April night in 1981, just over 13,000 there, we were in an open end, and I remember getting drenched. We were attempting promotion under HK, but it was a drab 0-0 draw. I had to look it up, as it wasn't in my book of past Rovers dreams.
  4. Is Waggott watching their reciprocal pricing structure to ours for them. He should be offering a £15 bung to every Rover buying a ticket......I think the man is incapable, and dancing to a Loon tune.
  5. Have you got inside info........are the Loons shipping out??
  6. Why are they selling our half ST's cheaper, is it the Tim factor?
  7. TM's tactics and our current form are putting off massively a return to Ewood. That is just me, home form is hardly outstanding, to lose to local rivals below us in the League, 7-2 in two games, well? Speaks for itself.
  8. I still think he should have been big enough to accept he should shoulder some of the responsibility for having to make this statement in the first place.
  9. Very disappointed by the Ladies shipping two goals today.........although TM should be looking at their strikers...........after yesterday.
  10. I feel for the fans that went in their droves. I said in my review TM would tinker, and not to start with a forward seems madness in the circumstances. He appears totally negative in so many games. A very poor result
  11. I agree that the Riverside needs flattening and something more modern and user friendly replacing it, a hotel would allow for viewing pitch side, a la Lancashire CCC and would finish off Jack's vision. Can't see it happening without large outside investment, as the Loons would have no appetite to fund it.
  12. It goes back to the original design to replace the Riverside, wasn't that supposed to incorporate a hotel? It was going to increase the capacity up to near the 40,000, but we could barely fill the existing ground, so Jack put it to bed.
  13. I am with you on the point, yet "in the good old days", if the pies ran out, they did! So what, we are there for the game? Is Waggott working for our pie suppliers? Agree, bums on seats!!
  14. In the words of John McEnroe, "Are you being serious"! What feckin bargain.....to uphold Jack's legacy? To keep his baby? To take us to the CL title? Keep us in the PL? I don't get your point. Again, I have supported our club for forty years. I am not impressed by their treatment of me and many others (Gumboots), I very rarely disagree with an opinion, but you have made me.
  15. Christmas is an ideal time to fill the ground in advance. Family know who are coming home. As a fan who has lost the urge, because of reasons already mentioned, I am looking to treat my son to this game. Make it worthwhile and get 25,000 in. Waggott over to you.
  16. Excellent result. We never seem to turn the tables. Great revenge for WC semi!
  17. It comes back down to the "owners" I'm afraid. I fully accept the majority of ST holder's of this season would buy ST's next year if we nosedived down the league and suffered further relegation. We do have a "mean" figure, call it 8.000-12,000 in the Championship/Division 1. As a grown up professional, I feel the club are taking the piss. They are losing rupees hand over fist. They still are on these prices. If, as some say, we need to have 20,000 every home game to break even, the club is a million miles away (or 6,000 home fans?). So why is Waggott so good? We have stability. I hate that word in our situation. We are only as stable as TM's tenure. But even then his tenure is only as sound as the Pune three decree. I'm still very dubious as to our future. They do nothing to encourage my permanent return. Neither does Waggott.
