  1. If we were to go down that specific style of play route I'd be very keen. But like other posters have said we take anyone with a plan atm. Thats the one thing we desperately need. Someone with a plan. Because we sure as s### aint getting it from above.
  2. Anyone else interested by critchley at Blackpool? Wpuld certainly suit some of the players we have.
  3. I can see us getting draws but atm i genuinely can't see us getting a win. If we potted him now I think you would get a reaction from the players
  4. Mowbrays teams play good football. Do they? Weve played good football under mobwray for less than half a season.
  5. I take pride in the performances, not the results, I’ve always said that I’m a performance related coach and I think the performance of the team has generally been good. Thats Kean level delusional. Performances are not 'generally good' He needs to be replaced with a results related coach.
  6. Has he gone yet? I'm finding it hard to come on this forum atm because their isnt much else to say. The manager needs to go, has done for a while (suppose their is a debate when he shouldve gone but I can't be bothered to have it right now). Whats worrying me is how apathetic I am to all of this. We just lost to the team bottom of the league who are really playing a league above their level, we are 1 win in 13, as poor a run as I can remember and YET I don't feel like the manager is in much jeopardy. Everything about that insipid display today for me comes from the manager. His excuses, him happily if we pass it around a bit. He looks bored and uninspired and that will pass through to the players. If he had walked away when it became clear that we were going to fall well short of the playoffs and that his journey wasn't a forward one then I would've had some respect for him. I think that window has gone now after his previous comments. Its embarrassing but I'm too apathetic to care right now.
  7. I've been having some intense debate with someone who thinks anyone who wants mowbray out knows nothing about football. He was giving the whole he is bringing through the kids and we don't have a playoff budget. So why did we spend most of the season developing other peoples players. Why did we sign 30 plus year old players on high wages and a short term contracts
  8. From those we have out of contract i would let go all except for: Nyambe, JRC, Rothwell and also (i will explain later) bell. If more than two of those leaves then its a big job on top of an already big job. Armstrong will leave. We won't get what we want and with newcastle taking a fair wedge (40%) and some being siphoned off to cover running costs we aren't going to have a ton of money to fund this rebuild. I'd be surprised if we could get anyone to pay money for gallagher so he can be kept as a backup striker (not winger). At cb, Ayala we won't shift and he won't be fit either. Magloire should be in the squad as 4th choice cb. Wharton unlikely to be fit until January. I would maybe take THB back for another season, but in general we need to cut down on our loans. We need to be having a look at Pike now to see if he is good enough to back up nyambe (or JRC should clause in nyambes not exist). Pickering left back. Bell back up, a lot of people will disagree with this but we are going to need so many players that a back up left back should not be prioritised, and bell won't be on a lot of money. Dacks injury is a huge blow for next season as he was going to be the goals. I would attempt to sign Trybull if the price works out, I rate him. If Johnson and Holtby were on significantly reduced contracts or pay as you play then perhaps keep them but under no circumstances should we offer similar contracts to what they are on now. Ideally, buckley, travis, davenport, trybull,Rothwell and a fit dack would have been okay. Now we need one more, i have this idea of JRC in the cm 3 but that would leave us short elsewhere. We would need a winger to replace elliot and give another option. So best case scenario we need 2 centre halfs, a midfielder and a winger and a striker Worst case we need that plus a right back, left back and another midfielder
  9. Much like the mowbray fans on Facebook are trying to have their I told you so moment. I'm going to have mine.. who on here was telling me they'd rather have Evans than trybull? Thought trybull was very good today
  10. I don't think this kind of suggestion is helpful personally, unless you have some evidence or even a rumour you would like to share with us.
  11. Going to be controversial and say I quite like Trybull, I think he is much better than Evans. I'm just not sure how much he fits in with whatever the hell we are trying to do at the moment.
  12. Whats bizarre is we were the top scorers earlier in the season and at the time were missing chances. Its all gone horrible wrong
  13. I don't blame him for not walking. This is his last biggish job, wants the payoff.
  14. It seems to have worked on some fans. Its given a few of them the chance to come out and back him. One of them even told me that the injuries to JRC and Wharton have decimated us which is what has held us back.
  15. I'm not really sure we could blame him if he decided to leave on a free. You've just got to hope that he the rumours of a 1 year trigger to his contract is available (in our favour) and that next season we have a new management structure
  16. Perhaps Nyambe could be shifted to centre half to break up the teenagers Branthwaite - THB at cb? Hardly seems much point talking about tactics at this stage
  17. I'd have started literally anyone ahead of Evans today. Downing, dolan, brereton, someone from the 23's, even bennett at least he cares.
  18. I was surprised when Mowbray came out with that because to me it looked like bad cramp. Which Nyambe is prone to because he has to put a shift in every game doing effectively two jobs.
  19. With playoffs gone. Once we guarantee our safety in this league we need to be looking at who else can make the step up to the first team. With Nyambe facing a spell I think it would be a good opportunity to give Dan Pike a go at right back. Is there anyone that you feel is ready to step up?
  20. I'd disagree with some posters on here about some of the squad players. Take Williams for instance, when fit and playing at cb he isn't that bad a centre half, not top half championship but can compete at this level. Same with Evans, when he is in the right mood. Bennett isn't good enough at this level anymore. Bell can do a job sometimes but shouldn't be a starting left back. Then it gets hard to judge some others, Douglas, Trybull and Ayala have all shown they can star or at least support a team for automatic promotion its mostly injuries that have restricted them or the way they are being asked to play. Johnson is over the hill for me, but his for at the start of the season was top 6 worthy which is the frustration with him. Holtby probably is a good bench player for a top 6 side, bring on when games are going well not so much going to influence them. Dack fully fit is top 6. Elliot is top 6 Armstrong is top 6 Nyambe is top 6. Rothwell has the ability to be top 6 Kaminski is probably top 6. Lenihan and Travis are odd ones as at one point you would have said they were capable of being in a top 6 side but not at the moment. I don't think every member of the team has to be a top 6 guaranteed starter to be a top six team.
