Maybe they should bring a rule in where each team as to have four home grown players in their squad ... (i'm sure that has been discussed in the pass by FIFA)
Just shows what a state British Football, Cricket, Golf, Boxing, Tennis, Motorsport, ect. must be in if a person who rides an horse gets sports personality of the year.
Well done anyway Zara (even though I don't know who you are.)
Thought Derbyshire did okay, well he looked a lot better than Nonda anyway.
Gray was terrible today, maybe its not his fault he's losing his pace at his tender age. But Milner beat him with ease on numerous occasions, once he even had to run around Mickey and he still got to the ball first.
Eleven men first half = complete rubbish
Ten men second half = Worked hard and could have got at least a 2-2 out of the game
We are becoming a second-half team.
Oh yeah and some credit must go to Pedersen today who actually did something.
That's the first comfortabe home victory in ages.
Thought McCarthy was brilliant today. Could have had more than the one he scored. Also thought Bentley did a decent job in the 'Tugay Role' in midifeld.
Also nice to see Derbyshire get a run out near the end.
Found this from last night's FC Basle & Nancy game:
Good save hey, not bad for a outfield players anyways
The draw was good for us as well. So all his good
To be fair I think we kept Pedersen on because we were lofting the ball down his side of the pitch for him to try and win headers. Which he did on numerous occasions to great effect.
What can i say????
Major decisions seem to be going against us nearly ever game this season.
I was only young when I was at this game. But I still remember Flowers having a brilliant match.
Anybody got that picture of him jumping in the air after the match?
That picture always sticks in my mind.
Whenever Gally's come on he's looked dangerous and the team suddenly starts to play better. He should be given s chance soon in the starting line-up especially since we've got a lots of players out injured.
Reid, Neill & Emerton are our only players with real 'pace' as such. Although Savage isn't exactly slow.
Its true we are lacking in pace upfront since Bellamy left.
I can't bear to watch the highlights on Football First. The commentators are so biased its unbelievable everything United do is followed by the word 'fantastic' or 'brilliant. Yet Rovers always seem to make 'lucky' passes and ''fortunate' interceptions.
And yes Neill did get injured. That explains why he could run in the second half. Why the hell didn't he come off then?
Was Lucas injured or just not interested?
Either way he was flippin' terrible along with Mokoena (who can't pass the ball to save his life).
I don't know why all of a sudden we turned to the tactic of hitting long balls all the time, it clearly doesn't work. Don't think Nonda or McCarthy won one header all game. Looking at the positives i thought Oiijer & Tugay both put in good performances.
If we signed him we'd have:
Bentley - The New Beckham
Pedersen - The Norwegian Beckham
Beckham - The Real Beckham
Would make for a very creative midfield though if you put Tugay in as well.
