  1. He'll almost certainly have a quota of games for Elliot to start. Plus this'll be the first time any of us thought Gallagher should be starting..
  2. Cracking result and performance, very happy to be proven wrong. Barnsley up next, fully expect to beat them given they're below us in the league. Millwall at home will be a test as they'll sit in and be physical. Should be getting 4 points minimum. So many false dawns under Tony but if we the go to Brentford and get a result after 4 points from Barnsley & Millwall then perhaps we could dare to dream.
  3. If Gallagher is on the fecking wing I can already call how this one is going to go
  4. It's bang on how I would expect a team to perform given these comments. We'll win some, we'll lose some, he's no real idea why we do either and there are no consequences, so he'll never change.
  5. The problem is his words have a direct effect on what happens on the pitch and reading them you just know what's going to happen.
  6. More nonsense from Mowbray in the LT this morning before the Preston game; "Training has been exceptionally good, we just keep repeating what we do and there’s always two teams playing and you’re not sure what the opposition are going to do until the game starts" "The longer the season goes on we’ll have all the answers I hope and scoring goals and creating chances and hopefully winning matches" "That doesn’t mean that you’re always going to win, as it hasn’t a couple of times this season when we’ve had over 60 per cent possession but not managed to win games at times." Two things; it reads as if he genuinely just puts a team out, closes his eyes, crosses his fingers and hopes we get a result. "Not sure what the opposition are going to do" and "hoping we have the answers" is League Two management level stuff, at best. it's abundantly clear there is absolutely zero pressure on him, which means there are absolutely no consequences for the players if they do not perform to an acceptable standard. Any manager who is going to get us out of the League shouldn't be accused of either of the above points. He's clearly a nice guy, and perhaps he was the best manager we could expect/need to get out of League One, but we're absolutely not getting promoted with him in charge. I can see us losing tonight, and in the distance a fat lady will very quietly start warming up her vocal chords.
  7. This one will begin the next Tony death spiral, though I'm not entirely sure we've stopped the last one in truth. Extreme apathy
  8. I reckon he'll leave halfway through next season and he'll jack it in rather than get fired. We'll finish 10th-14th this season and he'll use Covid and the Travis/Dack unavailability to conveniently blame. We'll then lose Dack and/or Armstrong in the summer and be battling relegation when he finally falls on his sword in Jan '21, with the profits made on Dack and Armstrong to service our monstrous debt the only thing to shout about as 'progress' in his 5 yr tenure Fuck you Venkys.
  9. Storming into the play offs with a draw against the mighty Luton Town. Plod on Tony
  10. That is a team, can't wait for Dacky to be back ? If we can keep everyone fit/Covid free, and Mowbray completely changes his ethos and vastly improves his managerial capability, we may have a shot at the play-offs.
  11. Fingers crossed the crab plays for N. Ireland in the break so that we can fire him for gross misconduct
  12. Well done to anyone that's motivated for this game, I salute you. Probably draw. Definitely don't care. Covid plus a Mowbray death spiral = apathetic apathy. Though I clearly care enough to post on here ?
  13. "It’s football, there’s no right or wrong way to play, there’s no template to success." There we have it, in print; our Manager ladies and gentlemen. Is it any wonder we are the most streaky team in the football league? You can see this being his attitude in the way we play; 'throw players in positions they may or may not be used to, give them a vague style and formation to follow, don't bother with building a solid defence that's boring, sometimes we'll win sometimes we won't but that's what football management is' That simply isn't the case Tony. There is a template to success, there is a right way to play, there is a structure to getting teams out of this division. We're never getting promoted with this manager.
  14. Yep, clutching at straws but like I said any manager would struggle with our absentee list let alone Mowbray.
  15. Take a point. We were much better second half and in fairness anyone, let alone someone of Mowbray's capabilities, would sturggle with all of the players we have out.
