  1. The Fiend should've continued taking out established stars. He should've claimed to be THE dark heart of the WWE, when taking out Kane to provoke the Undertaker. He should now be preparing to legit retire (and I mean utterly squash) the Undertaker at SS. Then just disappear. Just do the odd Firefly Funhouse skit again. Then just as #30 is due to come out at the Rumble (say Strowman or Bryan or even Punk to turn up the heel heat on Fiend) they're found bloodied and tied up in a crucifix pose, with 'Let me in' painted on their chest. Fiend is then #30, wins Rumble, 'almost squash' WWE champ for the title at WM. Is what should've happened imo.
  2. In the US, AEW is advertised in virtually every ad break on every non-Fox channel. WWE doesn't even seem to be advertised on Fox's channels. Don't think the area I'm in is the reason either, as we're in New England. Been in Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, soon to be in Connecticut and New York though.
  3. Don't think I've seen a keeper as nervous as Walton
  4. Wednesday nights will be affected by MLB for a few weeks, mind. Figures might pick up after.
  5. I note they avoided Seth and Wyatt altogether. It's a bold strategy, Cotton.
  6. They didn't just come 'near as dammit' to killing Wyatt's push (I'll give them tonight to save it), but the whole HIAC gimmick! It was was built upon Mick Foley nearly actually dying twice in the space of 10minutes FFS!
  7. I don't get it. At all. They had a perfect narrative staring at them imo. Wyatt beats Rollins and is champ. Wyatt acheives what he couldn't before. Wyatt calls out Taker as something else he couldn't do. Taker accepts, as the only one who can go to the dark places Wyatt can to 'save' WWE. Wyatt retires Taker at Survivor Series. Boom. But this shit?
  8. I don't think he'll need a manager until he splits from this stable (surely Jericho will be the mouthpiece). However, when he does split, he'll need a manager out of left field which are the best in modern wrestling imo: Dutch Mantel with Jake's 'Jack Swagger' character. Paul Ellering, then Drake Maverick, with AOP. Heyman's introduction of Brock Lesnar. Lio Rush with Bobby Lashley. I'll offer a suggestion that when he splits from the group he could have DDP as manager. Or maybe someone completely different/insane like Raven or AJ Lee. Someone with command of the mic.
  9. I'll be getting some new golf towels for after the winter!
  10. Raw needs to go completely the other way to SD, NXT, and AEW imo. Needs to go full pantomime, blockbuster nonsense. Fiend is perfect for that, but I'm thinking along the lines of the recent Lashley v Strowman big beefy boy match.
  11. Holy shit, I would've been happy with half that number tbh. To generate 1m NEW viewers at worst, and take 2/300k from NXT is a remarkable TV debut imo.
  12. Having watched both, I really enjoyed both. Simple as that, really. Also just found out the full AEW show is available on ITV Hub from 7pm Thursdays. Not as good as 'live' but better than just a highlight show on Sunday morning. Won't pay for Fite TV if I can just wait a day and watch it at a relatively normal time the next day
  13. Well, Dynamite was simply excellent! Will be catching up on NXT later.
  14. AEW not airing live in the UK is a huge downer though. We only get the repeat.
  15. I'd love to make a jokey remark about being an unlucky mascot at my first game this season. Honestly though, that was dreadful. Once we get past midfield we get lost. I thought Gally should've stayed on, with Armstrong coming off instead, personally. Would also start Rothwell in his place ASAP.
  16. I had, actually. Ooops. Bloody Millennial.
  17. At least we weren't being bombed in the 70s.
  18. Don't get me wrong, supermarkets will likely still exist, but will probably function more like department stores as attractions like the Trafford Centre, with smaller 'Little Waitrose'/'Tesco Metro'- type shops being more common. Just my view on it, I don't think my generation cares too much about emotional attachment to food.
  19. John Lewis Partnership making a half-year loss for the first time ever shows the strain its 'Never Knowingly Undersold' policy is putting on it. It's now relying on a good second half (usually where it makes more profit anyway), but in the midst of Brexit and the continued success of 'Black Friday' promotions, I worry for the Partnership. Waitrose is still going strong, but I believe the future of the grocery market will be in E-Commerce and delivery, with supermarkets becoming less important.
  20. Just hope people haven't spent the weekend screaming in anger at frontline TC employees who could be unemployed tomorrow
