  1. I look forward to his Wipes, always so well written.
  2. Last season of Schitt's Creek available on Netflix from today. Really recommend it as a light comedy that manages to be 'real' rather than full of pure sitcom tropes. Not 'must watch', but well-written and easy to watch, with great comic leads in Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara.
  3. I'm thrilled to bits! Don't think I'll risk playing with a mate just yet, but I'll ask Mrs E to caddy for me, or if she wants to learn to play herself
  4. I seem to remember an Italian sounding kid being prolific. Rafael?
  5. Watched AfterLife on Netflix. I'm not remotely a fan of Gervais' comedy, but AfterLife is a brilliant and brutally honest portrait of grieving imo.
  6. It was, and as a big fan of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, I'm disappointed in myself for it!
  7. Perhaps I should bore my wife more often ?
  8. Tried to find the old good news thread but no luck, so thought I'd start afresh. Post any good news you fancy sharing (no matter how small) to distract from the doom and gloom. NO POLITICKING! I'll go first: Finally fixed the drip in the sink last week.
  9. Loving 'Save Me' on Sky atmo. Up to episode 5.
  10. Even pre-massive money though, it seemed a relatively rare thing for a top star to go into coaching.
  11. Shows you the calibre of player to put in a MOTM performance at 38 out of position.
  12. I often wonder this, why do top stars rarely go into further footy careers? My suspicion is that top stars have achieved what they wanted, whereas lesser players perhaps still have goals that they need to achieve albeit vicariously through coaching and management?
  13. Easy to say when not in that position though.
  14. Sam Lloyd has now died ? immortal to my generation as the pathetic hospital lawyer in Scrubs ?
  15. Fantastic news that you're back fighting fit again mate. Speedy recovery ???
  16. What are those marks on his legs? Does Olivia do things we don't want to know about?
  17. Ooijer carried the stench of a weak first half-season throughout his time with us imo. In his first couple of games he gave away a pointless penalty and scored an own goal. After he broke his leg at City that first January, he came back all guns blazing and I'd put him on a par with Berg, personally.
  18. Really hope so. My pro has emailed me to offer discount coaching sessions til the year end after he found out my wife wants to get into golf. Nothing sinister ofc ?
  19. WWE/Drew McIntyre have arranged for Captain Moore to be given his own championship belt for his 100th birthday.
  20. After figuring a few bits out, think I'll just do a Rovers save. When I can afford a better machine to run other leagues, that's when I'll go all out and try the Pentagon. But this will be my FM for a few years unless they do a console one.
  21. Up and running! A bit slow but I'm not after super fast playing, just casual. Aiming to take Chester to the Champions League.
  22. Yes, I'd be using it for FM and literally nothing else. Just realised an alternative. I have this netbook: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04999120 I was given it as a teacher for OpenOffice and browsing. If I uninstall all non-important files/programmes, and install Steam (can store the files on an ext hard drive to relieve some burden), reckon that would be good enough? Not bothered if it runs a touch slow, or about quality match graphics (I still admire the 3d engine in fm14 ffs).
  23. Right... If I want a laptop/netbook SOLELY to play FM (no other function necessary), what can I get for as little as possible?
  24. The FA Cup semi vs Chelsea. Every time. A Wembley appearance on top of all else Sparky achieved here would've been amazing.
