If he costs us £10m+, that means he’ll have performed... bring it on, Ben!

And Savage, Nelsen, Samba, Dunny...

Fergie said similar once, too. Something like ‘If he was 10 years younger, I’d have him’. Very rare that he would so enthusiastically praise an opposition player.

Fantastic tennis player, World #1 when in direct competition against 3 of tennis’s all time best players (Federer, Djokovic, Nadal), Olympic Gold, a grand slam or two, and most importantly... A good guy of the sport, standing up for the women’s game against sexism. The two best examples are having a female coach (and repeatedly having to defender her from slurs by other men in the sport; and the correction of a journalist with the phrase ‘Male player’ when they’d seemingly forgotten that women exist.

I’d personally be all for a Marshall return, if it’s to right wing.

Points are given for various offences. 300 within a certain amount of time (month? Week?) leads to a 30day ban. Though that has been surpassed apparently so chads should be able to post.

Eat, drink, and be merry? Nah! Get fat, get pissed, and be as silly as you like. Enjoy yourselves as best as you can and help others less fortunate to do the same Hope ‘non-gender specific holiday mythical character’ bring you what you want!

Hughesy’s first Jan window (Savage, Mokoena, Nelsen) is the only one I can think of.

Outs (if the above occur): One of Bell/Williams. Downing Smallwood (perm) or Travis (loan) Samuel Gladwin RB cover ought to be someone relatively senior to Nyambe. Glen Johnson? (Free) Anthony Vanden Borre? (Free)? Also Kurm (Huddersfield), Pinto (Norwich), Kelly (Palace), Baptiste (QPR) could be reasonable targets who are out of contract in summer 2019.

With respect Chads, we’ve conceded 11 goals in the last few. 2 of those games, we we slaughtered by local rivals. -
I think the ‘best’ way to earn a little respect back would be for them to discreetly visit matchdays. Not in Mercedes Motorcades all along the JW stand, but done early in the day and without an air of ‘we’re better than you lot’. Perhaps even do this for loads of games unannounced. I think a lot of people would feel a twinge of respect if it ‘transired’ that at least one of each of the owners (or their son) had been at loads of Ewood games without showing off.

Rog of the rovers makes a great point re: a potential line in the sand. I think if we got to the PL AND they showed a commitment to at least keeping us there (ie: like the Trustees, but with looser purse strings) I’d probably finally say I can properly tolerate them. That even gives them leeway, as I used to say I wouldn’t ever accept them even if they funded a PL win. Note: I say tolerate. Their term as owners will forever be marred by their disregard for all things Rovers until summer 2017.

... that’s why he’s a good comparison. I have no say in who owns Rovers either.

I view Venky’s like I view President Trump. I wouldn’t boo or do anything hostile if they came here, but that’s only out of respect for the position they hold, not out of respect for them (when they themselves don’t respect their position).
-
Given that he’s played about 5 full games worth of minutes for us at most, and is 19, I’d say 2 goals from a position he’s not natural in (both wrongly disallowed imo), and drawing a penalty are a reasonable return.

I think Rothwell, Brereton, and Armstrong will all become regulars over the course of the season.

If Edgar Davids can play for Barnet, Godin can play for us My assertion was merely that so many defenders who can be argued as ‘projects’ through injury or age are coming to the end of their contracts, not that I actually expect any to show up here. My original suggestion of Huth on a heavily incentivised contract (6 months, option of another year in our favour) is one I quite like; a PL-winner in the style of Craig Short. Also like Wollschied (forgotten how to spell it), as well as the Kirchhoff suggestion from someone else.
