  1. Got to be RDR2 or Spider-Man for me. Both games I couldn’t wait to carry on! Still only at the end of Ch3 in RDR2 but it’s mind-blowingly good.
  2. Feels like Nicko’s 11 O’clockers again! Gwan Neal!
  3. Only grief you’ll get from me is for a crap chant ? Otherwise, we are surely ALL feeling frustrated and pissed off after an almighty bump back to Earth after the last 2 games.
  4. As suggested in the relevant admin thread about a week ago, will it be beneficial to direct member traffic to various Rovers related twitter/news sites THROUGH the home page? Perhaps include Rovers Trust updates on there too?
  5. As I posted in the Wigan thread: Significant adjustments required: Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Williams Bennett Reed Rothwell Conway Graham Brereton Bench: Leutweiler (covers gk), Downing (covers cb), Bell (covers lb, lm at a push), Rodwell (covers creative cm, cb at a push), Evans (covers aggressive cm), Dack (playmaking option), Armstrong (pacey option up front, on wing at a push). Square pegs for square holes, play it on the ground through the middle or play it down the wings to cross. Flat back 4 to HOLD THE LINE WHEN DEFENDING. Addition: My plan above is to focus on playing down the wing, aiming to cross to 2 of our tallest players. Two central players who are hard but can both drive forward with the ball if necessary. Full backs to defend and only go forward on the counter or when the defensive line moves forward. When one cm drives forward in support, the other hangs in front of the centre circle, to cut out any counters down the middle and give straight back to our wingers. Hope that makes sense.
  6. It’s strange, as there are plenty who SHOULD be leaders: Mulgrew, Graham, Bennett, Conway. Hell, I’d include Evans and Lenihan in that too tbh
  7. Had my doubts about Rich once upon a time, but kudos. That is a good, thoughtful piece pulling no punches without being scathing.

  9. I’d personally play Rodwell in place of Williams, but I do like the intensity of that line-up. Would also put Brereton in Graham’s place, but I’ve no issues with Graham starting.
  10. Another possibility, but I think the same result would be achieved by placing heavy financial incentive on starts. £/start for Forest.
  11. I read that as ‘in goal’ at first. I wasn’t shocked either ?
  12. And yet you regularly affectionately call him ‘Coyle’ on a Rovers forum. Surely you can see how that comes across?
  13. Agreed, just trying to clutch the straw that explains WHY THE HELL IS HE NOT PLAYING MORE OFTEN??? After being the one to ‘score’ at PNE, it should be tonight
  14. One thing Tony’s strikers (Graham) and ‘strikers’ (Dack and Palmer) have in common is all 3 stay on their feet under pressure if they can help it. Brereton allegedly (I’ve only been to the Rotherham game this season) comes with a rep for easily going down. Could the reference to building up his strength be about giving him the big arse he lacks?
  15. My fiancé is a dingle, what’s the relevance? I think Coyle’s one of the dirtiest Turds to be flushed out of the Morgue. That he was then installed here (not even considering how crap he was here or at his previous 3 jobs) was BS. You're right, it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, but facts are facts: Coyle is a complete tosser.
  16. Is that not exactly what’s happening?
  17. The financial weighting of the loan would make sense to me tbh, BUT I fear it may be an excuse. All I know is that his cameos are improving each time, so perhaps it really is as simple as not disrupting the team that brought us up too much, and making Ben work his way in? Imagine if he’d played every game up top so far and not scored (because I feel like that would actually justify the reaction on here).
  18. Because after 45-60m, the compere wants Mowbray to get 30m chat. It’s irrelevant. The meeting is supposed to be 30m of questioning relevant top brass, not the manager. Just because ‘the questions were answered’ doesn’t mean they were adequately answered. If TM can play his part in holding his bosses to account then fine, but he hasn’t yet done that in 3 meetings.
  19. From the Fortress Ewood days of 2007/8, up to 2013 (my last ST) the cost of my ST doubled (moving from student to adult age bracket also a factor) and price never bothered me. I reckon if they did exactly the same again (marketed around our ‘do or die’ squad), they could easily build attendances back up to at least a regular 18k fans, possibly over 20k. The habit is easy to get if it’s available. If they just tried something like: £50 junior £100 concessions £150 adults Then increase prices by £5/10/15/year for about 5 years and you’re golden. I also think the price of a half ST should be only very slightly over half the price of a full one (and available for BOTH halves of the season).
  20. Not saying you’re wrong Chads, but I know Bowyer first put the club’s historical achievements on show again.
  21. Dangerous road, look at Hendry as a coach. Until Mowbray we also had Short. Only success of legends has been in coaching youth.
  22. I like those ideas very much
  23. How we don’t have a statue of Bob Crompton, I simply don’t know. Rovers captain, twice manager (and successful), brilliant moustache, England captain, regarded as the single best player in the world at the time (as a DEFENDER), brilliant moustache, local boy and spent his full playing career here, died after a Rovers vs Burnley match, brilliant moustache. ’Mr. Blackburn Rovers’ in every sense! Read that: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Crompton
  24. You sound like you don’t understand the concept of news.
  25. Love it personally! Love the idea of a red rose in place of the red spot. On the home page, what sort of news are we thinking of? Our own generated news? Perhaps links to ‘Newsnow’ for Blackburn Rovers, a link to club pages, club twitter account etc? I like the idea of directing my ‘rovers traffic’ through the forum rather than googling.
