Think of £8m instead. Cole and Rhodes.

Could be the next Gazza though: Dack
-
We've noticed, mate
-
I'd change it just slightly: Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Bennett Smallwood Palmer Dack Rothwell Armstrong That sits a bit better imo. I like the idea of giving Armstrong his chance up front. Would also mean Graham could be an effective option from the bench to change the game (which is how i think he could be used at his age). I might even put Evans in Smallwood's place, as he's played well in the first 2 Championship games.
-
The thought popped into my head too.
-
Wonder if this is experimental to some extent? Strong team, but it seems like they've been told to be ruthless. Either that or they just are being ruthless, bodes well.
-
Remember we were beaten by 'It's only Bury' last season with a similar squad. 4-1 at half time is fantastic regardless imo.
-
Personally would take Mulgrew off before Dack.
-
That's how conversations work. It's a transfer/loan thread, so discussion about merits of previous transfer windows is hardly off topic.
-
Well that narrows it down nicely...
-
Yeah and 3 signings out of the blue in Rothwell, Davenport and Palmer DO show a bit of imagination. Rumoured targeting of Freeman and Brereton also refute that somewhat. Targeting players who show potential is the name of our game now, regardless whether you've heard of them before.
-
Wouldn't mind either tbh

I think there's definitely a certain appeal of having a few (or even many) local sponsors, because it brings revenue to Blackburn through advertising them nationally. Ainsworth's being a small business might chime better with the regional fanbase too, especially with community relations with the club being ripped to shreds since 2010. I quite like the idea because the club's own MOTM award is only really heard in the ground. Why promote a national brand locally?
-
I'm glad, never trusted Peter Jackson again after some family jewellery was buggered about with while in the care of one of his stores. Ainsworth's are a good little local jeweller.

A 'midfielder who drives forward' (T. Henry quote) is not defensive.
-
I reckon Shearer was the epitome and nobody really bothered trying to live up to that after him. Kevin Davies maybe.
-
It appears to me that Maddison hasn't yet kicked up a fuss and has been a model professional. It could be that Peterborough fans are just trying to say he has a bad attitude because they expect him to leave and feels he owes them more?
-
Because the structure of the window has changed.

Transfer Window - Success or Failure
Mike E replied to roversfan99's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Based on previous windows? Success. Based on my own expectations, not a failure but certainly underwhelmed thus far. Need to be canny in the loan market now, with hopefully some disguised purchases. -
If we do the same business (Maddison, Brereton etc) via loans with a view, it'll somewhat temper my current annoyance.
-
This has made me feel better about the anticlimax of the last 2 weeks.
-
That's how I read it, yeah. I'd love to eat my words and see Maddison or even Chapman come in at 7pm.
-
Since the 'busy week' tweet from Rovers, Monday before last, we've made a loan signing, and a really obvious transfer. I was hoping it'd mean at least 2 more transfers. Don't get me wrong 'loans with a view' will suit me too, but we look extremely unprofessional after this. Cheers Rovers (that is unless we sign 2 players in the next 67mins).

Wonder how many 'Fee-paid loans-with-a-view-to-buy's there'll be in the next 3 weeks?
