  1. i think one difference this season over the last one is fans are back, so once Ewood starts jeering he'll walk
  2. 8 wins in 34 just isn't good enough we will go round in circle until he either leaves at the seasons end or is renewed, if its the later i would have to consider if i renew and my kids as well, it would just signify further running down of the club
  3. Great idea from the club for once, its a real shame that some will stay away at all costs
  4. With the current squad and lack of backing Mowbray has had, if he gets us top 10 i would give him a new deal, with the likely hood of Nyambe and Rothwell going if they aren't replaced midtable if they are top 12 finish
  5. i believe the club did prior to the copa America, he probably has his eyes set a lot higher now suspect he'll be off in Jan, with Nyambe and Rothwell
  6. Social media doesn't equate to match going support, hence we get the melts on fb now saying BB won't sign a deal because the stick he got, which is nonsense. Some of our fans always need a stick to beat the the rest of the support. Its more a bigger problem as to how we negotiate contracts with Brereton has an option but doesn't look like he'll sign a proper extended deal. Nyambe, Lenihan and Rothwell all currently not re signing either, we either leave it to late or low ball offer players. Which when you consider how cheaply everything else is done by Waggott and co, that would be my bet
  7. well i am sure the trust and those of us who have complained directly to SW can all take some credit...
  8. Great idea by the club lets hope this encourages more supporters back to Ewood
  9. Bury FC have not been liquidated the club was expelled from the league and the company is in administration, currently the fans consortium est1885 have an offer in the buy the club and the ground
  10. We don't live that near Blackburn anymore we moved to flixton village in trafford, at my daughters school the pta approached united for a raffle gift they got a signed shirt, then 30 bootbags with flag, mini football, teddy and hat in. So basically a gift for every child in the year. When i met SW a two years ago he said the club was looking into sending scarves out to new babys etc thats never happened
  11. No so sure why Mowbray would be about to lose his job when we’re 8th, if we are still top 10 in three months I’d expect him to get a new deal.
  12. Fans forum needs an overhaul, i would be removing long standing people like who attend but would never look to push back at the club etc the forum should be a critical friend as a fan base we need the trust to step and have another couple of fan groups who can attend. It should be a constructive forum to re engage fans and for the club to listen. This one baffled me surely we want it to be busy JL stated that a number of fans had expressed concern about certain parts of the ground being quite crowded and they felt uncomfortable. SW replied that any fan could move to a quieter part of whatever stand they sat in if they wished to. It was also possible to offer season tickets in quieter parts of the ground for anyone concerned about crowding.
  13. Inside take on Hughton at forrest from the athletic today On a basic level, Hughton’s biggest downfall, his biggest failure was not any breakdown of his relations with the players or the Forest hierarchy. It was a refusal to try anything different, he had no Plan B. Those results never came; the mood never changed. At least not for the better. He has faced similar criticisms before, at Norwich and Brighton. “I did not like the way he was as a manager,” former Forest striker Grant Holt, who played under Hughton at Norwich, told the Under The Cosh podcast recently. Holt added that he did not like the defensive philosophy of Hughton’s football, despite liking the man himself. “I did not enjoy it,” he added. “We did have an argument about it once and he said to me ‘if you do not like the way I am going to play, you are not going to play’. “I told him it was fine, because I’m bored to death playing the way you play anyway…” But another impact of the COVID lockdown was a sluggish, cautious transfer window throughout the Championship, among those clubs not armed with parachute payments at least. For Hughton, the reinforcements arrived too late. Ten new signings eventually came, which prompted talk of adopting a 4-3-3 formation, with Paraguay international Braian Ojeda set to be a key figure in midfield. But with the 21-year-old forced to isolate after international duty, Hughton’s last two games saw him persevere with the same 4-2-3-1 approach and the same structured mentality that had become a source of frustration for so many. There was a glimmer of a suggestion that things might change against Cardiff, as a well-crafted team goal, finished by Lewis Grabban, provided a sense of hope. But then normal service resumed as, for the fourth time in six Championship games, Forest conceded two soft goals to succumb to a 2-1 defeat. Against Middlesbrough, the story remained familiar. Forest missed the few decent chances they created, while Warnock’s side did not. The agonising mistake from keeper Ethan Horvath, who controlled Loic Mbe Soh’s back pass poorly and allowed Onel Hernandez to fire into an empty net for their second goal, felt like an unnecessarily cruel coup de grace. The fact he subsequently used his final substitution to replace Mbe Soh with another right-back, in Jayden Richardson, at a time when Forest needed two goals to get back in the game, only underlined Hughton’s habit of making cautious, like-for-like changes off the bench. There are mitigating factors when assessing what has unfolded. Forest have had a fierce and admirable desire to do things differently this summer; to build a younger squad that is full of ambition, hunger and potential — all while cutting the wage bill and trimming some fat. All of which took time and, in the process, left Forest — and Hughton — short of options in key areas. Forest lacked options in both full-back positions. Gaetan Bong was brought back in from the cold to play at left-back — after previously being told he could leave the club — and, at times, still looked partially frozen. On the right side, Forest had to rely on an 18-year-old; Fin Back is a young man with a very bright future ahead of him — and who performed well when called upon, letting nobody down — but his initial inclusion was still motivated by circumstance. Hughton departs without three of the new signings — Ojeda, Rodrigo Ely and Mohamed Drager having kicked a ball. While their failure to sign a striker — with a deal for Bordeaux forward Josh Maja collapsing at the 11th hour when the French club thought it was done — has left Hughton to persevere with Lyle Taylor up front, who has struggled badly in the last two games. In the days before his departure, it felt telling that Hughton began to speak about his tenure as if it had already ended. “You feel the pressure of the job, of the support base and what the club want. But the last person the players need to see down in the dumps or not on decent form is the manager,” said Hughton in his final pre-match press conference. “I enjoy this job. It is less enjoyable at times like this. But the plusses are the work you do on the training pitch; working with young players is the best thing you do. “It is only when you are here that you realise what a big and great club this is. I have thoroughly enjoyed managing this club.”
  14. I would rather go with butterworth central he might actually be able to finish unlike brereton assume Dolan will be central anyway
  15. well its not though is plenty of teams manage to play decent football and get results, i hated watching us in Allardyce. Hughton is a limited manager decent at championship was going down with Norwich before they sacked him and Brighton wanted to progress so off he went. 12 wins in 48 games lowest win rate for any forrest manager whose had over 10 games thats mowbray esq form!
  16. potter will kick them on and they actually play decent football now, hughton is a decent championship manager nothing more.
  17. higher with who though, his next job will be a club struggling thats sacked a manager, i think cooper link is because he is HSH nothing more than that. Hughton nearly took brighton down in his last season his negative tactics and overly cautious approach nearly cost him and brighton
  18. Why wouldn’t Cooper come here ? And Hughton when forrest pot him ( assuming he doesn’t turn it round) would be lucky to get a job like rovers. I would agree with Davidson very average league record, Ainsworth if he wasn’t a rovers fan would he get mentioned no I don’t think so.
  19. If we are going on the theory we only appoint HSH managers - Cooper as he worked wonders at Swansea, outside of that Wilder i think he'll be actively wanting a job pretty soon, I wouldn't mind Ryan Lowe did brilliantly at Bury playing attacking football, took Plymouth up and is rebuilding the club.
  20. yeah to be fair wouldn't overly disagree i do think mcinnes did a decent job at aberdeen
  21. Davidson did brilliantly in the cups albeit very lucky to get past rangers but league record is nothing to write home about 38 games 11 wins 12 draws 15 defeats minus goal difference 45 points, if we were punting for a Scottish manager i would go with Derek McInnes. Not that we would go with either mind
  22. Hughton has had his day, negative defensive manager and he doesn't seem to be able to get his teams playing on the front foot anymore
  23. Yeah they don’t have pasha and Waggott leading the negotiations. At least two strikers where identified neither got across the line, cannot blame Mowbray for that
  24. Right so he how’s he meant to react when the clubs so incompetent it can’t close any deals ?
  25. I don’t disagree with the comments re Gallagher he was extremely poor yesterday, I’d have hooked him for Butterworth around 60 mins. Yesterday he’s got no one on the bench to come on and put their foot on the ball. Can’t blame Mowbray for the clubs inability to close deals that have been lined up
