The arsenal team are staying in the St David's hotel. In case you're interested.

The sad one's the one defending him- STILL!!!
-
Nice guy out of football. Not a footballer.

Oh, this is just BEAUTIFUL. There is almost nothing that could have made me happier on the eve of our Cup game. This was the one I thought they might win-horror of horrors. I like the Portugese!!
-
Thanks for resurrecting this- I was working till 9.30 and didn't know the score!! For 24 hours I can be happy! (until Celtic lose to Livi)

That is a truly stunning achievement.

At least Ashley Ward was pretty to look at and looked very nice in the catalogue modelling the kit, so he did have SOME uses! -
Well hopefully, Superstells, you won't get the chance to go to the final, should we get there.
-
As long as that nice Mr Hughes has been teaching the boys (ALL of them) how to take penalties, I'll be happy. I really do think it'll come to that. Had Todd not been all ill during the last match against them, they wouldn't have scored. They aren't any fitter than us, so we can keep them to nil in extra time. Then it's down to who's practised penalties most. (Not nerves. It's funny how nerves disappear when you've had enough practice!)

I can't believe no-one has yet mentioned Darren Peacock. The pony-tailed one (mark 1) whose speciality was those trickling passes across his own 18 yard box with the opposing striker bearing down on the ball. Grabbi was pants too, though. -
The only thing is, the last time I felt this confident about the team was when we beat Wolves 5-1 on the opening day of last season. And LOOK how that turned out!!!

[Archived] 2004-2005 Premiership Predictions

I got us in 7th on this prediction thingy!!! (God knows how.) Fulham, Soton and West Brom down. 10 points ahead of Pukea**ehole. -
The most exciting moment (possibly of the season) came for me when Dick(ead)ov held up his hand fully 25 yards away from the person who had the ball, and instead of the panic and 97 passes we normally get for it to reach him, a superb cross-field, 25 yard ball landed RIGHT at his feet. The culprit? One Aaron Mokoena. And that WASN'T the goal. (this came slightly after) I've waited about 8 years to see that again. from when we used to have players who could make passes like that.
-
Then I sincerely hope you don't get one. That's the best definition of a fairweather fan I've ever seen. "I'll go if it's where I want it to be, when I want it to be on and at the price I want, otherwise I'll just whine and say how good a supporter I am" Yeah, right.
-
Sorry- should have said that was because we're in hospitality and they had to let the FA know the names.
-
Well- they called me to get the name of the other person I'm going to Cardiff with- despite sending me written confirmation in BOTH our names the other day!!! I think they're in a bit of a tail spin
-
Just spoken to the ticket office- about 12/13000 tickets gone.
-
Maybe if you looked at it like this: Divide the cost over the period till we next get to a semi-final. Based on past hisory, that's 45 years. Hence a £45 ticket has cost £1 per year. Which is a bargain. Officially. As a friend of mine is always sayng "if I was a Manure or Arsenal fan, I'd be peed off- or I'd save up and go to one out of three. However this is Rovers, and there's NO guarantee that the age home will be running a bus the next time we get there, so there's NOTHING that will keep me away this time"

[Archived] 2004-2005 Premiership Predictions
Jan replied to Philly Rover ®'s topic in Football Messageboard Archive
It's called blind faith! I predicted 18th - or possibly 19th (but that was with Sourness) I've predicted 14th now -
To summarise- it would appear that the family enclosure is nearly full- hence the only row in the concession area where there are 6 tickets left together is row 7. I can't say it really surprises me- 6 is a largeish number to get together anyway. I think Phil is just lashing out at the club because it's less painful than blaming himself for leaving it.
-
Phil LOOK at the leaflet. It's patently obvious that there were VERY few cheap seats. Also obvious where the concessions were (ie family enclosure where there would be a maximum of about 5 or 6 rows back and very few seats across cheap and LOTS in the blue price range). The seat prices are governed by the price the Millenium stadium (and the FA) charges us for the seats. We don't make them up. If, in the stadium's view there are only a few seats with a view so bad you'd charge low prices for, that's not our club's fault. Do you seriously expect the club to lose £10 or £20 a ticket just so that you can get cheap concessions in an expensive area???
-
Looking at the leaflet, there didn't seem to be that many cheap tickets available to start with. Given the level of whingeing about price on here (and since we're the ones WITH internet access............) I think it's safe to assume that they would have been the first to go. Obviously, concessions WOULD have been available if demanded, but if they could sell all of them at full price (which they probably could) then maybe there weren't any concessions sold(no law says there has to be- only an option). So if you'd wanted them- given both the facts above (demand + availability) I'd probably have phoned up on day 1, not day 5
-
Yep, that's what I was saying. Or perhaps that if we only got 17,500 tickets for the final (which is the rumour) that ONLY those who'd gone to the semi (or had gone to the previous rounds) would get tickets. Those "saving themselves" for the final should take a long walk off a short pier. (Again- if someone was making a once in a lifetime trip from outer Mongolia to the final, maybe we should try to encourage them)
-
Well, the way it's going if the 17,500 tickets for the final is true, at least none of the "fans" who "can't afford" the semi but probably will want to go to the final will get tickets. A fact that pleases me strangely. (Faraway ie overseas fans exempt)

In one of two typical poses- either thumping someone or doing a dying swan act to get someone else sent off.
