  1. Radaghast Perhaps I have a non-ROVERS motivation for disliking them (to be fair I actually liked Tugs, just think his time has come). It's not a non- football one. And as for Craig Bellamy- I always think that if someone clashes with Souness, that's good enough for me. Shows they have something about them. A bit of gumption.
  2. He might be 32, but look at what we've got. Stead- so low in confidence he looks as though he could burst into tears if you say boo to him Gallagher- not making the strides forward that we'd hoped. Jansen- forget. his time has gone and he won't be around much longer Dickov- the best of a bad bunch, but currently injured Johnson- one first team cap. Bothroyd- not very good, not very fast. Can't seem to score. Now who have I missed
  3. Good- glad the little f**ker has gone. That's one reason I couldn't feel affection for the Rovers team gone, now if Amauselessb*stard and Tugay and his imaginary friend go with him, I'll be very happy. Those three, to me, would always be the worst reminders of HIS reign. I feel the stench disappearing now at least one's gone too. And on a Celtic note- it didn't worry me at all when I heard that Bazza the useless was going back to save them. Now. thanks to the mad ex-moustached one, Celtic have got a good striker for (almost) free for 6 months- that's a win-win situation. Shota Arveladze might not be a bad thing to get in return- my dad said he'd heard that as well. A real striker. Not very tall, but taller than Dickov.
  4. We can but hope. Personally I think we'll be stuck with the little ###### till the summer
  5. I think you're probably right, Den. He just thought we'd cave in. I hope we don't. Words cannot express how much I dislike this guy. I disliked him when he was with Rangers, but was prepared, in the spirit of Scottish solidarity, to give him a chance with us, but he's been everything I thought he'd be. (This doesn NOT include talented, or creative, or ANYTHING positive). Wish we could sell him for £6m for him then to take a long walk off a very short pier.
  6. Bet he didn't think that when we gave his beloved Rangers £6.5million for the little toe-rag first time round
  7. Klos out for the season. Oh dear. And considering he's been the only thing between them and a right good hiding more than once this season.................... Maybe we could fool them into thinking Amoruso is a goalkeeper????
  8. There is absolutely NOTHING we can do with current personnel to attempt to win. I think we're verging on dangerous insanity to suggest that we could draw, actually. Bang goes the goal difference again!! Robben v Matteo- the thought makes you weep!!! Never mind- it COULD be worse. Amoruso could be fit and Hughes could have a lobotomy and attempt to play him. Drogba v Amoruso!!! Makes Matteo seem adequate now, doesn't it?????
  9. Well I was told by an ex-Blackburn footballer that it was definitely excluded in his contract with the club and it's excluded in his contract with another club as well- in fact they were remarkably similar in form. And my friend sneaked off skiing- knowing that any accident would have left him footing his OWN medical bills.
  10. Well, I know that footballers are forbidden from taking part in any dangerous activities by their contracts. I would assume riding a scooter so qualifies. Certainly at the time I heard some talk about Rovers not paying Matty. I also thought we gave him a contract extension when he was recuperating, but am prepared to be wrong on that one.
  11. We can catch up a bit tonight then! And if we can beat Arsenal, Manure and Chelsea I'm sure we'll overtake them soon. (of course a decent striker - and some sort of wall built in front of our goal- would help a lot)
  12. Get rid. Didn't think we should have extended his contract after the injury. Didn't believe we should have paid him during his recovery. Harsh, but what happened was his own fault, and people don't recover from something like that fully. If I breached my contract, I'd expect that treatment.
  13. The booing of Shearer is only badly regarded because the outside world didn't know the context. As far as I was concerned, it was never for leaving us, it was for the first game at St James' Park after he'd gone there, when we sang for him to give us a wave, he refused and kept his back turned deliberately for the whole warm-up (Henning did give us a wave at Manure and got applause) and then celebrated with gusto when he scored. All that after the "there'll always be affection in my heart" puke-inducing b*ll*cks he spouted about us. Ferguson shouldn't play for us again. I'd be happy to play him in the reserves. He'd probably refuse and then we'd get out of paying him at all. Little toe-rag (as I said when we bought him).
  14. As Ste B says- lets just get on with picking Shearer's partner. Sutton for me. Don't care if I'm only taking players I've seen- they're still the best.
  15. A opposed to the 60 % who either thought he was right at the time, or have realised he was right now.
  16. Tris Only one thing You used "too" correctly once, and he'd NEVER do that
  17. Couldn't Sky have found a picture where Robbie's NOT picking his nose?? Not very polite!
  18. Northern Rover- don't even Joke There were times during the Harford, Kidd and Souness eras when I wouldn't have been surprised to see it.
  19. I'm sure the "dummy spitting" was confirmed by someone other than Souness, but who? Can't for the life of me remember.
  20. You could add that Rangers supporters are not entirely behind the move to get Barry back. I've spoken to the three I have in close proximity, and there was positivity from only one!
  21. No, those come from luck (of which I have none) rather than knowledge (of which I have some)!!!
  22. And only the second person to vote! Never been THIS influential in a poll before!!
  23. Or just maybe Rangers buy him for £3m, and THEN Souness steps in, after half a season and offers them £8m. It COULD happen!
  24. Joey I din't say the playing staff was worse, I just said they were badly trained and unfit- and that THOSE traits could have caused them to be worse than the team was when he arrived.
