  1. The role of a premiership footballer?

    George Best R.I.P.

Front page of the NOTW this morning has a photo of Best, looking, well, erm past his best. Made me think about stopping drinking. Well, cutting down. On shorts. During the week. Someone give a bottle of vodka and put him out of his misery.
  3. 25,000+ at Carrow Road for the visit of Luton 30,000+ at St Marys for the local derby with Leeds Whats going on?
  4. Bring in Keane and sell Robbie to United. Job sorted.
  5. If Manchester City avoid relegation this season, it will equal their best ever run of consecutives seasons in the Premiership. From the inaugral season of 1992-93 City managed four seasons in the newly created top flight beofre succumbing to the drop in 1996.
  6. City are a massive club, it`s just that they haven`t won any thing in the last 30 years. They`re not alone in that, just ask the Geordies, the Brum fans, Sunderland fans, Sheffields clubs etc etc. Thats one of the things that narks big clubs fans about Rovers. We`re la tiny little club, with no fans, who don`t sing, don`t go away, and yet we still win more than them. Thats one of things that 1700+ a few Rovers fans on Saturday love! We can win things despite all the above! City fans I know are fairly kind to Rovers, they acknowledge we out perform them most years, and usually make a joke about it too. More than can be said about most Geordies and Birmingham City fans.
  7. More short-sighted stereo-typing from ignorant rivals... City Forum And again... Bitter and Twisted?
  8. He`s probably still paying for Mrs Hendrys operations.
  9. We will if we only ask for 1700 tickets.
  10. People just took it for granted there would be loads of tickets , and wouldn`t sell out, as is the case with most away games (and home ones too!).
  11. Liverpool.
  12. And the cheapest seats in E04 in the Riverside work out at £13 a game!!!
  13. Lee, for a half season ticket ticket in the Darwen End the club site link states £272 for an adult. When does the the ticket become `active`, IE which is the first game? If if starts 28th December then thats 11 games, including all the North West derbies at except Everton(no loss there). Price equates to £24 a match, £1 less than a standard Cat B game . If at the start of the season someone looked at those figures there would have been even less full season ticket sales sold pre-season! Maybe some folk cottoned on to this?
  14. Hmmm, not normally a problem at Ewood, sunshine is it!
  15. Like the line at the bottom from Hughes... Gruniad Report Makes a change?
  16. Like the line at the bottom from Hughes... Gruniad Report Makes a change? Whoops posted in the wrong thread.
  17. Corresponding fixture last season had an an attendance of 19,818 played on Monday 3rd Jan(3.00 pm) The first time we scored four in a league match since April 12th 2004 (Fulham away 3-4 win). Highest home score at Ewood since 16th August 2003 V Wolves (5-1) (Emerton also scored that day(another screamer)) Second lowest crowd at home for a league match since the return to Premiership(Fulham earlier this season was lowest with 16,953). Best performance by Rovers at Ewood since Wolves match(see above)
  18. The White Bull on LBR had a sign behind the bar that said ROVERS LIVE 3.00PM
  19. Hang on, thats just stupid. Unless The Axe plays in front of the back four, and Bellamy alone up front. Todd and Kish in the middle.
  20. I cannot beleive this but I`m disapointed that Sav is not playing. We will miss him, esp if Reid comes in as his deputy. How about Bentley and Tugay in the middle, MGP and Emerton wide?
  21. Can`t stand all the FIFA and PES sophistication of gameplay. I dont want to have to learn what button to press for left hand ,low shot with swerve and/or after touch blah blah blah. I wanna jump on, hit go and start playing footy. Sensible Soccer is/was the most playable of all soccer games. End of debate. Even on the MegaDrive. It`s never been bettered. Agree with the Playstation version-it was riddled with bugs, a really big let down was that. Hope the PS2 version is as good as the Amiga one.
  22. For that Colin you should be thankful.
  23. Another popular figure in the Rovers line up...
  24. BTW Mark (IMUSA Guy from last week) was on TalkSport Radio this morning being interviewed by Alan Brazil regarding United recent woes.
