  1. I was going to post a long anti Mowbray ramble but fuck it. He's gone, ain't coming back so a waste of time. I am comforted that he obviously misses Rovers much much more that we miss him. Any Rovers staff who want to join a piece of shit ... Well, just do one.
  2. And that is exactly why Scholes bailed out, knowing that the L/G combo was the managers preferred CM set up despite it never fulfilling its promise whilst he, Scholes, was shunted out wide to a position not suited to someone who at the time was one of the very best CMs in world football. It should have been Scholes plus one of L or G. Mind you the manager had other things on his mind or probably sitting on his face.
  3. I feel for Dean, batting no. 9 and conned out of a good chance of a 50 at Lord's by trash, garbage shitbags.
  4. Behind the Riverside ...... OMG .... And a view from the hill
  5. I'm sure that this clip has already featured in this thread but worth another look ... beating Burnley our 'almost near neighbours' , Holmes major contribution to this game, the crowd scenes ... and .... 'quartered' shirts. Excellent quality video and camera work from 1952!
  6. Well that was as bad as it gets. Stunningly corrupt behaviour which the " liars cheats and thieves" bask in. Have these Indian women no shame? Fuck off and don't come back.
  7. Great read Can you do a description of all our 7 goals in the 7-2 win v Spurs? My memory is not what it was but I think there was a least one long distance screamer.
  8. On Facebook the Talbot Archives and most of the sites about 'old' Blackburn are good. It was on the Talbot site I found a lot of photos of the 1963 game v Spurs and elsewhere old photos of Hope Street and Kirby Rd where I stayed when visiting relatives to get to the football.
  9. Whilst I do now have a few SM accounts I use them for looking at Rovers stuff rather than posting. I would make an exemption for Dougan.
  10. I do believe that even Mowbray would have brought Dack. The current one struggles with logic.
  11. I got really excited when I came across that channel on YouTube and the dates it covered. I thought it might have had the Rovers 7 - Spurs 2 game from 1963. It has the away game
  12. You are making valid arguement, touching nerves and the MDL don't like that. It's all about the Journey, Project, Fairytale of passing along the backline into embarrassing trouble on a remarkably consistent basis.
  13. Or even just have a few decent shots on target. I'm not that hard to please.
  14. No midfield. Result is pressure on defence and nowt created. Obvious to most on here but not to the buffoon on our touchline. We are going no where. Ok sometimes we will beat teams who themselves have a bad day but that's it. No plan. No style. No bottle. Too many just disappeared. FFS half of them can't pass a ball 5 yards and they try possession tippy tappy. Pathetic crap.
  15. So whilst sleeping walking to defeat and offering nothing in creativity or goal scoring threat we leave Dack on his arse on the bench. Nice one JDT. You fucking tool. My soiled underpants are a better footballer than Hirst.
  16. Pickering is doing ok and better than most today. The passing in midfield is pathetic by Morton and Hedges and sometimes Travis. Diaz not bothered. Dolan is Dolan.
  17. Ronnie Clayton interview by David Coleman, 1959. Can't embed but link works. https://youtu.be/btpHRXb1bhc The YT channel that has the above has an incredible library of football from mid 1950's into the 1960's.
  18. One for us oldies and those into Rovers history, training session pre FA Cup 1960, no sound but great video of players and Ewood YT would not allow the link to embed but the link should work https://youtu.be/MznHgnRyG2w
  19. I find it quite comforting how he is obviously rattled by the manner in which he alleges he was treated in the run down of his Rovers contract. It could just be that the club found out that he was behaving like a fifth columnist and though FUTM if that's how you want to play it. Like all rubbish eventually gets swept up or blows away he's gone.
  20. I just needed the laugh this gave me. You want some?
  21. Looks like little Boscombe will soon become a US overseas asset.
  22. I do give Mowbray credit for getting shut of Stokes quickly. The whole Stokes episode a stain on our club. Compared to Stokes and imo Ben Marshall is a choir boy who did put in good performances at Rovers. Tony Watt was a wasted yet talented player, now at Dundee Utd, and still not scoring.
  23. As his match fitness builds he will produce goals and assists and once again be indispensable in the starting eleven. It's what he does and is one of our few real top quality players. I just hope he's given the chance and stays clear of injury. It will be uphill though as he's not cut out to be a headless chicken runner.
  24. West Yorkshire, the home of a small town cricket club.
