  1. Wow, his demeanour went south fast as that interview progressed. He managed to get a Boro plug in to.
  2. Oh, here we go, that old acorn. Two examples of the Effect of ''External Financial Support'' I actually started to write on this but after 5 paragraphs realised that it would be a long essay that most would not read and that anyone who follows Rovers and Football in general should know the story. So, just look at the past 10 years history of Rovers and compare it to that of Leicester City. Both Clubs have for the past 10 years been owned by billionaires so both have had the availability of the magical ''External Financial Support'' However only one Club has had the backing of decent people. That when analysed says it all and reflects in the current situation of these clubs.
  3. I would not let Doctor Mowbray diagnose an ingrowing toenail. He would amputate at the knee. Delighted that Ryan is healing faster than expected - by weeks ..... Delighted that Sam Gallagher can post on Instagram: 'Thanks everyone for the messages and well wishes' 'Glad it's not too serious and hopefully be back out there soon'
  4. If the alleged worry of Nyambe playing too much is real then if the hammy twinge was real then he can't be risked again so early. I do wonder what was on that 'note' .... Benno got appearance points, so all is good.
  5. Nyambe goes from maybe months out to maybe fit https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19109174.rovers-handed-ryan-nyambe-injury-boost-watford-visit/
  6. I think Lenihan is still injured. Doesn't matter who plays LB, they will get mullered. Doesn't matter who plays against Bennett, he will get mullered.
  7. The same ones who would have been the first to say that without Vs we would have no Cat 1
  8. We need a win, for the players, for the fans. I can't ever favour us losing no matter if it rid the world of vermin. I'll be watching. I can't help it. Armstrong to score in a 1-2 loss and hope I'm wrong.
  9. No thanks, I sleep badly enough as it is.
  10. If this goes through we will be left with the First Team and, maybe, a Development Squad. That is all the revamped and rebuilt JTC will hold and in line with what's 'between the lines' coming from the Club. The success with Kami supports the investment in European Scouting to unearth the 'rough gems' already sufficiently developed and ready to polish without wasting years in Academy. All in line with Mowbrays preferred approach in coming out with 'new' ideas/scams to perpetuate his Dictatorship. They are actually making it very clear. No one can say the didn't know.
  11. ''It's understood that Peacock and Smith Ltd, the acting agent in the development, are applying for the Brockhall covenant to be removed in order for plans to progress ahead. Restrictive covenants were imposed by the Walker family, which prevented the application of planning permission and blocked the erection of any buildings for residential, commercial and industrial use. With the covenant still in place, no demolition of the STC site can be commenced.'' ''In addition, the development will also include a replacement for The Lodge, comprising of 20 total rooms, two communal lounges and utility rooms, bathrooms etc.'' https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-training-ground-plans-19885443 Warning: I have very fast fibre internet connection but always struggle with the Ad overloaded site
  12. @47er same here, those feckers have killed hope
  13. Well, Mowbray is doing his best to sell Armstrong to a PL club. Quote: “I thought Armstrong was Premier League quality. He looked really special'' Armstrong was good v Forest and we are not in or going to be in the PL whilst Mowbray is gurning around. Ta a bundle Tea-Leaf
  14. I thought this place was being moderated against provocative posts?
  15. Put the pieces together. Mowbray is unsackable. Venus and Waggott are his appointments. Their history at Coventry is known to us all. Mowbray was anti Academy at Rovers when he arrived and at Coventry with Venus and Waggott. The new facility will be big enough in 5 years time when we just have a first team squad on the back of Mowbrays European scouting network, Brentford style. Its not even if there are that many pieces in the jigsaw. Needless to say all the above IMO, to be reviewed in 5 years if I'm still plodding around.
  16. I see the charm offensive has started here early. Anyway the JTC is too small to house what we currently have if those surrounding small fields are not at least partly included. Well its not too small if we shed some teams and we already are playing games in Leyland.... Its an asset selling cash raising exercise, mutton dressed as lamb. FB likes it! I cant see the owners of all those houses backing on to the STC being too chuffed.
  17. 2021 and a simple audio linkup is beyond humankind. Or no one could be even bothered. Not a complaint though when it applies to Mowbray.
  18. So .... Mowbary and staff have been worried about Nyambe all week and then under perceived pressure from Fans and Media play him against Forest for the full match, well until his hammy went in about the 90th minute. If fault for this injury is to be apportioned it can only be laid fully at Mowbrays door, if concerned why not sub him a bit earlier?? Obvious question to ask Tea-Leaf. I have just re-watched the 2nd half specifically to follow Dack. He was much better than some are saying and can still do a proper pass. Played far to deep but at least this will have put a lot of mileage into his legs, he certainly gave it a go. He is lacking match sharpness but that will come and he was never the fastest anyway. Of more concern is Travis. Bloody awful game from him and he's become a serial clogger without actually nailing anybody. Like he should have sorted Garner out for one. The 2 Cub-Scouts at CB were quite ok and will have decent careers at Championship level, maybe even at PL. Elliott is a beautiful footballer, by miles the best playing for us but a loan, same as the CBs. Armstrong had a very good game and decent penalty kick saved well by a keeper who moved very early and well before the ball was kicked and who should have been sent off for the assault on Nyambe. If such force and disregard for a players welfare had been shown in a tackle anywhere else on he pitch it would have been a straight red. What is so special about keepers and the penalty area? (Pickford on Van D being the prime example I can think of) We could have got a draw and Forest could, maybe should, have scored 4. I am not going to have a go at our strikers. We only have one and that's Armstrong. Performance and stats can take care of the others without me labouring the point. If Armstrong does go we have absolutely no player at Ewood who can step up and fill his goal scoring. That is appalling management of a squad. Why can't Bell get a decent cross in? I don't think he looks where to put the ball, just hit and hope theory, but he is truly awful at it. Mowbrays erratic comments over the past few weeks are worrying. Did he head the ball too much in his clogger style playing career.
  19. I'm impressed you took on the FB challenge. I opted for head shaking.
  20. Mowbray just does not think about what he is saying. Ryan was 'rested' then is played and breaks down late in a game. So it's Mowbrays fault for playing him too soon OR is he saying that the player was picked under pressure from Fans and Press? He is so weak and insecure.
  21. I used to have a blue one but traded it in for a younger foreign model.
  22. He's a serial loser who blames others for his own shortcomings. A sign of a very weak personality. The open honest integrity plus facade he has created is being chipped away to reveal the true twat that he is.
