  1. You are looking for an argument that isn't there. Jog on.
  2. I thought J Lo was an abbreviation for Jason Lowe. Google set me right - TTFFT
  3. Huddersfield were attacking Bennet's side much more. That's what I meant. Nyambe had an easier game from a defensive point of view and Mowbrays instructions curb his attacking ambitions. I too prefer Nyambe at RB and have expressed my views on Bennett and his limitations many times.
  4. 55 is not old. He deliberately portrays an older image, it's all an act.
  5. They have. 'Fannies' was the description I liked the most.
  6. Johnson looked out of it well before halftime. Dack virtually invisible 2nd half, fatigue maybe but our better players being removed by Mowbray doesn't help and he had scored and assisted by then anyway. Walton is poor and Gallagher, well, a footballer he is not. Armstrong as a CF? I may as well piss into the wind. Referee - I often wonder what satisfaction they get out of a job they do so poorly. I do not fault him on the penalty, it was harsh but Bennett did have a couple of nibbles at the diving Hudds player.
  7. Huddersfield quite correctly focused on our main defensive weak link - Bennett. He saves many of his mess-ups as he does still have good recovery. For all the space this provided Nyambe with how many crosses did he put in? or telling passes. Huddersfield gave him the freedom to push forward. I saw many instances of him in space, check back and pass back. I am not faulting Nyambe who I like and who is following Mowbray's instructions to the letter on positional play. In the first half, I thought we were on to score at least 4 . The 2nd half a complete revelation on how to miss manage the game and our assets. If only the owners knew anything about football or running a club, sadly they are fuckwits so Mowbray will remain to build his personal empire.
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17968332.were-going-need-everyone-mowbray-tells-rovers-squad/ He said: “I tell the team that formations don’t really matter and that it’s their energy, drive and passion to close down and play in possession that drives our team to win games. We have to develop lots of different ways to play in order to change games, given the personnel we’ve got at the club now." Well, thanks for clearing that up.
  9. 10. David Lowe should spend some time on his own body posture, unless he's playing Quasimodo in Panto this year.
  11. Roy Keane and The Venkys, just light the blue touch paper and retire to a safe distance.
  12. I can't understand him continually making the same mistakes at Clubs especially as he was a good CB himself
  13. Cryer did a good 3 part story on Bryan Douglas a few years back in the LT, I have the links and will post if anyone wants them.
  14. I spent last Saturday watching a re-run of the '66 WC England win followed by a first-ever viewing of 'The Wembley Wizard', the story of Matthews made in 2015. I downloaded them as torrents some time ago. I only wish there was something similar made for Bryan Douglas, I do have the full 1960 FA Cup Final but that was a poor day. My 14 year-old Son is visiting in School break and a few days back I found him on my PC watching a full version of our Full Members Cup win, I might make a Rover of him yet. LIke most youth out here, they are brainwashed by the PL and the fact he goes to an Arsenal run football academy.
  15. I came across this some time ago and it is an interesting and very detailed read on the great Man's career. http://www.greatharwoodtown.co.uk/bryandouglas.html
  16. Is that an anti-Blotox ad?
  17. You are having a laugh, right?
  18. I have tried to forgive and forget but the truth of the matter is I still sincerely dislike Huddersfield for the Herr Wanker shenanigans. I had hoped that they were on the way to L1 but the Cowley lads were a great signing, the sort we should have gone for and will move them up the table. During the Venkys reign of Ewood terror, we have played Huddersfield 10 times, Won 2, Lost 1, Drawn 7 I think a resurgent Huddersfield will do an Easy Street FC suffering from jet lag, a draw a bonus
  19. To prepare for life in L1 and L2 or as a CB - makes a lot of sense in Rovers world , it would not surprise me though.
  20. I don't like ageism either and Mowbray is still a kid at 55 years of age.
  21. Yes. The International Break does odd things to fans who, unlike players, cant all zoom off to Dubai for a bender.
  22. That's a strange one as Nyambe is supposed to be a bit introverted and not prone to speaking out, I recall Dack making fun of it in a Rovers produced video. If Nyambe has shown attitude I applaud him and if Mowbray cannot cope or manage that it's a poor do.
  23. Hughes would be a blessing. Poet and Tarrico - an interesting one. Both with attitude and would make us ''harder'' ala Tarrico style Ainsworth - Wycombe are 2nd in League 1 - not exactly struggling!
  24. Mowbrays 'slow build' manure rhetoric always makes me look at a Guardian article back in 2010 after he had managed to fuck up at Celtic. "Even Celtic insiders privately shook their heads at their manager's constant references to football ideology, how he "builds teams" as if instant success is an unexpected by-product, rather than the possible bedfellow of changes in personnel." Mind you Celtic had employed him in full knowledge that he had just relegated West Brom with a mind-boggling GD of -31 His sacking came after a 4-0 pasting by St Mirren in which Celtic finished up with 6, yes SIX, strikers on the pitch no doubt deployed in ill-fitting holes. He hasn't changed at all over the years. As Scott Brown later said "Tony Mowbray - now that was a crisis" The blinkered are still giving him an open stay based on finishing 2nd in L1, and then ignorantly rubbishing the value of winning a Title, after Wigan clinched it. Bitter fecker. I would rather have Bowyer and that says it all.
  25. Mowbray said they would have a good rest (aka holiday) in the first week of the International break, come back for a few days kickabout nothing tactical and the spend whats left thinking about mighty Huddersfield. That's who we play next, not fucking Preston. Mowbray will have spent his time with his garden gnomes in his garden shed getting confused about football and thinking about his Pension and how to spin the slow build. IMO. All is ok at Lazy Sods FC and Social Club. Huddersfield, Brum, and PNE coming up. In the real world and after recent losses a poor run in the upcoming games would see off Mowbray. Not at Rovers though.
