  1. Thanks, saved me the bother. If we finish in a playoff spot it will be a great feat against those who've come down, those who've come up, those who underperformed last season and others who are of similar standard to us. But it's Championship football so all things are possible and without wanting to be negative I do mean all.
  2. Major League Cricket T20 starts tomorrow in the US Not difficult to guess which 'English' bat for hire is amongst the first to hop aboard this Indian backed gravy train. I wonder if the ECB has a patent/ copyright or whatever the term is on The Hundred, the Septics after all are all about family values. If this takes off and expands then the fundamental problem we have is that our seasons clash. I do not look forward to their bastardisation of the cricketing vocabulary.
  3. Feeling a bit poorly I lay down on my bed just after Duckett forgot what guard he'd taken and nodded off. Just woke up feeling a bit better and delighted with the win and also just watched YouTube highlights of today's play. Bazball is scoring at 5 RPO or better to accumulate a decent score quickly before our batting flaws catch up with us. God bless Stokes, Wood and Woakes.
  4. That should be a national scandal and exposes the corrupt ECB and their southern bias.
  5. Run rates were almost even in the first innings. The low score by the Aussies in their 2nd innings plus our good start at 5 RPO yesterday evening puts us in a good position. We need 224 to win with all our wickets in hand, which is what the Aussies totalled in their 2nd innings. It's ours to lose. We will win today , weather permitting or tomorrow, again, weather permitting.
  6. Twitter is now a fascist tool emboldened by corrupt Judges in the US. Not that I like Zuckerberg either but Threads has the enormous Instagram following on tap.
  7. If my weather app is to be believed after a dry morning there is a likelihood of rain from 2 pm onwards. Tomorrow after a dry morning a washout from 1 pm or latest 2 pm. It's going to be an interesting day and if those weather forecasts are at all accurate Bazball it is. Assuming the rain arrives late today this wil be over by Tea, one way or the other.
  8. Me too, anything is possible , just feel it in my water.
  9. Jim, we are going to win this and that's coming from a glass 3rd full punter. Today and 2 full days to go ... surely a team of grannies could do it with their walking sticks.
  10. Yes, he was happy to red card those off the pitch but not on.
  11. He couldn't take the abuse I was chucking at my phone screen.
  12. It was a penalty but I just knew that the superb Trafford would save it. A great win against a very good football team who in their age old tradition are also a bunch of cheating, dirty cunts. Well done England I also thought that the Ref had a very decent game.
  13. So nothing to do with smudging, for example a cricket ball, just a coincidence.
  14. Livingstone 7 runs of 13 balls in T20, and not for the first time this season he was fecking pathetic. Lower order shambles. Why did Jones take a single on the final ball of the 19th to keep himself on strike. Jones ..... Having said that Surrey are a good side and tactically outdid us by keeping their top bowlers for late overs. But Livingstone, I've seen those pedestrian performances a few times this season from him.
  15. It seems it started as a self sledge by Smith. Smudge can mean you don't often take a bath. https://www.foxsports.com.au/cricket/australia/australia-vs-south-africa-cricket-first-test-2022-steve-smith-sledge-after-being-hit-video-have-some-of-that-smudge/news-story/15e9965eb1e93d3f460fd779a716475e
  16. The BBC are negotiating rights to show the Euro u21 final https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12271229/BBC-make-late-offer-UEFA-televise-Englands-21-European-Championship-final-vs-Spain.html Edit: I've just seen that it's now on Channel 4 https://talksport.com/football/1491019/channel-4-england-euro-u21-final-spain-tv/#:~:text=The European Under-21 Championship,of their last seven tournaments.
  17. We get them out for 275 or less I do believe it's our game. Step up our bowlers and do them a second time. He'll I'm in a good mood. Had a furious row with the wife and her interfering with my defrosting the fridge and fecking my system up. I must have one more often.
  18. Woods didn't read my script, good Lad.
  19. It works against inferior teams and will work against teams like NZ and India sometimes, the convicts are the polar opposite of inferior or indeed similar standard to us.
  20. Silly by Woakes with lunch coming up. Just leave them well alone. It's not rocket science. The plan should have been for him to stay in and support Stokes after lunch when Stokes will cut lose. If, somehow, we can get within say 50 of the convicts then this Test is still open. Stokes is there and the others to come must do their duty and bat as defensively as they can to keep Stokes at the crease as long as possible. If he's in we score.
  21. I was late tuning in to the Test, I wish I hadn't
  22. Bears batting never really recovered from the early loss of Yates. Essex were plodding to victory when Lawrence played his first tash shot, he should have just kept it going at a run a ball until the 18th or 19th. I thought Essex had blown it but good to see Bears out. I will be glued to YouTube watching Lancs tonight 👌
  23. Delighted the Bears are out but Essex almost chucked a way a win they were strolling to. Exciting game of Bazball.
  24. Quarters Eighths. Old times. Tailoring. I know I'm right. The blue in the collar simply does not work with the darker blue. The sponsor destroys what is otherwise an ok kit. Coulors should be reversed on the back but that's the designer knowing fuck all about our history.
