  1. Preston did, and winning again moved them to within 2 points of us. Rovers to lose tomorrow and still be in the top 6 at the end of the day is 49/1
  2. Lose and we could be 9th come Monday evening. The 3 below us all have seriously winnable fixtures.
  3. His biggest problem is his inability to read what is happening on the pitch and change it to improve us, hence why we have only ever equalised from going behind once. Only 1 sub after 64 minutes yesterday when we hadn’t got close to a shot on target was frustrating, and even then it wasn’t the right change. Like with Dack earlier in the season, it almost feels like he knows people are clamouring for Wharton to start over Morton, and as he has chosen not to do this he doesn’t want to give AW time in case he’s proven wrong .
  4. Where have all the good men gone And where are all the gods? Where's the street-wise Hercules To fight the rising odds? Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed? Late at night I toss and I turn, I dream of what I need
  5. Hanley did his knee ligament. As far as ex-players go I quite like him and wish him all the best. Didn’t look good.
  6. As much as I don’t think JDT is the bees knees, I watched today thinking “if only Broughton had got O’Brien and a striker in the door in January”
  7. But you accept there is a viable option? We don't have to keep playing Gally.
  8. Maybe, maybe not. Personally I think Brereton would actually make better runs and get in the end of more than Gally does. But let's not pretend there is no other option and Gallagher has to start up top. Be brave, try something different.
  9. Yes. But even today where he was shit again he did one thing that Gally didn't. Get across his man and get a shot away. Gallagher is shit up top. Brereton has been shit on the left and we've got 3 wide players when we only use 1 of them. We could, of course, carry on doing the same formation with the same players and getting the same result.
  10. Brereton. The one shot on target we had was Brereton centrally coming across his man, cheating the ball down and getting a shot away. Something Gally just doesn't do . He plays there for Chile. Its fucking obvious to me.
  11. I say this every time I see them, but Millwall look very mediocre .
  12. Looking at the seat map, it looks like any last-minute walk ons will end up in the Riverside today
  13. Be the first time in a while since I’ve wanted Luton to win, but I’d rather that than a draw against Millwall today.
  14. Doesn’t seem to tire that badly. Isn’t Jason Lowe.
  15. Go back and read it again Chaddy cos you are heading down a blind alley. He said that he's not happy that his work (where he is employed) is making him work over Easter on a Christian holiday. He has not mentioned anything to do with EFL games being played over Easter, nor is he complaining about them being played over Easter. You have misunderstood his post and have thought he was saying games shouldn't be played on Good Friday / Easter Monday (or you have posted something completely irrelevant and quoted him!) When somebody has pointed this out that he is complaining about his work and not the EFL, he says "exactly".
  16. My current preference is:- West Ham / Everton / Leeds / Bournemouth / Forest / Southampton in that order.
  17. Again, it’s tit for tat as Blackpool reduced Preston’s allocation at Bloomfield for 2 years. I think Blackpool started this one.
  18. Spicy local derby. Big away following. Good chance anyone who really wants tickets will definitely get one. What's not to love. 😉
  19. I think it will get to open sale with being on Sky, but you never know. I do think though that the minute it hits open sale it will sell as there will be loads of groups wanting to go to this.
  20. 2 minutes 40 seconds of young and physically small Adam failing to sparkle against Championship animals. https://youtu.be/pGH0TBjJrBg
  21. He's not very good, although if he had to stand in for 1 game it wouldn't worry me that much compared to Mola. The first half performance by Mola against Notts Forest made Edun look like Maldini.
  22. If he’d come through our academy, or we’d brought him in from a lower league club, you’d have said he had had an ok season for a 20 year old, and he will probably be an OK Championship midfielder. The problem is he’s played far more this season than he would have done in the above scenarios and he’s looked worse the longer the season has gone on. He had finally been taken out of the firing line but then Buckley got injured. The question is is Garrett any better? We haven’t seen him start since that mauling at Rotherham, and I’m guessing JDT thinks no he isn’t at the moment.
  23. Relevant Good Friday fixtures: Millwall v Luton (Sky 12.30) Rotherham V West Brom (West Brom are just still in it) QPR V Preston (As we’ve got to play Preston, we don’t want them getting too close) Swansea V Coventry Also if Burnley beat Boro they are officially up unless Luton win.
  24. When the full game is up on rovers website I’ll find the two balls which were played in that frustrated me. One went across goal and one was cut out by the keeper centrally when a striker running across him would have got in at the near post. On both occasions Gallagher was on his heels. It’s not the quality of the balls, it’s the movement. As I said, it’s no coincidence that Dack had two chances from within 12 yards and he had only been on the pitch for 10 minutes. Gallagher just doesn’t have that instinct. You are right on the second point. If we are to play Gally, we need somebody else to get in the box and help him out, and that’s why I said I’d play Dack instead of Szmodics. Very harsh on Szmodics but it’s difficult but unless you play Brereton up top (which we won’t), then I think you’ve got to add the threat of Dack. Id love us to try Brereton up front with Dolan and Thomas wide and Szmodics behind, but I just don’t think he will.
