  1. Which of those clubs charged over £400 for season tickets to anyone wanting to start attending their home games? I’ll save you a job looking it up. None. We don’t encourage season ticket sales and don’t encourage walk on sales. The pricing in the Riverside is an absolute joke. It’s a shed of a stand (no offence to the regulars) and will cost less than the other stands to open due to its lack of facilities. It’s been talked about above that the away fans have to be charged the same as the home fans for comparable seating. But if rules allow, the Riverside should be an entry-level stand with season tickets at £250 and match day tickets at £17.
  2. So why did we turn downs Burnley's £25 reciprocal offer? https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/burnley-vs-blackburn-rovers-tickets-25210409
  3. No-one talked about charging away fans more - just admission price in general. As far I am aware the away club gets no takings from the gate receipts, therefore it is completely up to home club what price they charge. I remember somewhere that the EFL wanted to limit the number of bundled deals (to get around clubs allowing the home fans to consistently get in cheaper than the away fans by 'stealth'), but I don't think the away club has any say on the individual match pricing the home club implements. As a side point, Rovers charge £15 for 1875 membership which knocks off £5 per game for the members. This is already getting around the home/away prices. There must be a rule that stops them, for example, charging only £1 for membership but knocking £10 off the match day price for members (yet keeping the away fan prices high).
  4. And imagine what if it failed 😀
  5. I reckon VAR would have had something to say about that first goal. It’s shoulder to back.
  6. Only in cup games. League games you can charge what you like.
  7. Basically if you are in debt (fines / finance agreements etc..) then they must take cash as it is legal tender. But as you are agreeing to a new transaction at the point of retail, the retailer can set certain terms of the sale. I.e card only.
  8. I'm fairly sure the type of fans we need to attract to get bigger crowds at Ewood aren't travelling all over the country paying over £30 going to away games. That's pretty obvious isn't it?
  9. We know how many 'usual' home fans we have from our fairly static home attendances. Local Derbys / bigger games are a chance to entice more people to come and watch football at Ewood who rarely come. That's why you get bigger crowds. Why would any of those floating potential supporters have 1875 memberships, which means you have to commit to at least 3 games just to break even? Where is the benefit of pricing these supporters out of the bigger games?
  10. Exactly. I do hope some of our lot aren't off their heads enough by kick off to realise that there is a minutes silence for Remembrance Sunday.
  11. What did your 57% possession do for you last Saturday? Or do they count picking the ball out of your own net as being in your possession? 😎
  12. If that is correct, that's a goal attempt every 2 minutes. Basketball 🏀
  13. I think the point we are making is next time Waggot says "we've done all we can". Or GB says "money was available" or "we tried but couldn't get the deals done" Or JDT says "I wasn't sure if Ayala was ready". Its not always true. Sometimes they tell white lies to the media. Saying "look at their quotes" doesn't prove anything.
  14. Burnley make 11 changes for their cup tie tonight.
  15. So what he says to the media isn’t what he really thinks or believes. Hmm. Some people would do well to remember that. Same applies to what Waggot and GB say as well.
  16. Hmm. Good point. Well played. 😃
  17. And the Dingles get so mad one of them runs on the pitch and punches a police woman
  18. If we didn't get a bid of £10 to 15 million in the summer, we aren't getting one now with 6 months left on his contract. How much were the highest bids in the summer? £10 million? What was the point in turning that down in July. It was / is highly unlikely that the offers were going to increase in January as he comes to the end of his contract, so if they were prepared to accept that figure they would have dealt in the summer. JDT is sticking to his line and playing promotion down, but promotion is 100% the aim. Selling your main goal threat when you are sat so close to the top two with no necessity to sell would be criminal, and would inevitably lead to more fans walking away and thinking what's the point. If Venkys wouldn't let Rothwell go last year I really don't think they are going to let BB go. There's no circumstance unless the bid is £20mill+ (which is what we were supposedly looking for) I can see selling Brereton is a good idea unless it leads to promotion this year. There's no pressure from the player, who I actually believe wants to see what will happen this season.
  19. I’d love it if we could do something really memorable for a local derby like crush them 5-0. Or even score a last minute, massively offside equaliser to break their hearts. Or blatantly dive to win a penalty to win the game. Or even for the last man to drag someone down on the half way line to prevent a certain defeat. Any of them will suffice. 😀
  20. What he should be saying is "Brereton isn't for sale in January" Although if it was Waggot I'd be getting worried because there are more zero's at the end of £10million than £12 million.
  21. Have to say I have a bad feeling. The way I currently see it is us just being camped in our half unable to get into their third of the pitch and losing possession. Hardly mustering a shot on target all game and being on the wrong end of 3 or 4 goals.
  22. No I don’t. When we win like yesterday then it shouldn’t be an issue. But when we put in a stinking away performance like at Coventry it should be the first question on everybody’s lips.
  23. Tella was up top. Benson was wide right.
  24. Ok. So JDT IS wrong for not selecting Dack in those situations. Which is basically the point most of us are making. Our league position shows Dack shouldn’t be starting because the way JDT has us playing probably doesn’t suit Dack. And our league position is full credit to the manager. But the angst is coming from the fact when we need a goal he is getting ignored.
