  1. Because we were 3-1 up and it was a good PR move. If we had been 3-1 down he would have stayed out of sight.
  2. Surprised at that. If so then Stanley would be ideal all round.
  3. After success at Dundee, I think Bowyer would probably want club with more chance of achieving something, but if they got him it would be a great appointment.
  4. But against Swansea, who played a typical championship game rather than leaving lots of space and being very attacking, they were overrun and poor. If Travis was here he would be the first name on the team sheet Tuesday, but he isn’t because of JDT and Fraudton.
  5. But when we kept saying JDT had to change the way he was playing and be slightly more direct you were adamant that we should keep playing tippy tappy possession football. You said we didn't have the players to change style and this is how you wanted to watch your team play. Now you seem to be saying that, with the payers we have, we can only expect a boring style of football. The problem is the squad is unbalanced. It's not all shite, but is lacking in certain areas. Looking at the Milwall thread, Im thinking you can't play a midfield two combination from Buckley, Ayari and Moran as we will just be lightweight and get overrun, but unless Tronstad is fit we have no options. A problem entirely of our own creation. And up front we either stick with Gallagher and hope he has one of his 1 in 4 'good' performances, or end up switching around and playing an attacking midfielder up there which might have suited JDT at times but doesn't seem to suit Eustace's gameplan. JDT clearly had stubbornly downed tools and that was creating animosity in the squad. Broughton has recruited poorly and has been part of the January transfer balls-ups. Waggot has been happy to cost cut with glee, and I hardly think he goes into meetings with Pasha and the owners with any determination to affect the outcome. A complete pound-pinching yes man. Ultimately they all carry some degree of responsibility here, so whilst Ive been disappointed in Eustace I'm not calling him out yet. Ultimately Venkys oversee the whole shit-show. They put charlatans running the club and their dodgy activity has forced the financial crisis that is now upon us. Their apathy to the club engulfs Ewood. Back to the manager, Eustace hasn't been great and hasn't had a new manager bounce but I think it would take a pretty good manager to have had a serious impact with this squad. I fear JE is just an average one. I just hope we can have a spell at the end of the season with Hedges, Carter and Tronstadt all fit and available.
  6. We probably need 4 wins in 11 games. I suspect at least one has to come by 5pm next Saturday. I’d take 4 points in the next week and hope to get JRC, Tronstadt and Hedges fit for the remainder.
  7. Yep. Nondescript manager brought in during terrible team form and off pitch shenanigans and has no noticeable effect other than a surprising cup performance.
  8. Just slow and shits out of tackles. He will certainly be one of the first ones in the dinghy over the next few weeks.
  9. Get the American lad on. Oh wait…..
  10. He spent £800k on fucking Leo. He will have part authorised Travis leaving. Use your fucking brain. But to @ABBEY’s point, yep the fact budgets are all over the place, money can’t get in and we employ charlatans to run the club is ultimately down to the idiots in India.
  11. Sold Wharton, loaned out Travis, brought in the crocked Fleck and already lumbered us with Moran. The man responsible for the football side of things, Gregg Broughton ladies and gentleman.
  12. We were in a horrendous slump in form and hurtling down the table. We then decided to sell our best midfielder which left the manager pitifully short in midfield. Fleck was the only person subsequently brought in as replacement / cover but hasn't been able to play any worthwhile minutes at all. I'd say the business of selling Wharton and replacing him was Fleck was pretty high risk given the situation. However, I would balance that out by adding McFadzean has proven to be many times better / more useful than I thought he would be.
  13. Yeah I did. Posting when you should be working is dangerous. Sorry 😀
  14. Great sentiment, and I have been strenuously saying he's far better than Wahlstedt. His mistakes are now very infrequent and he is improving with age and confidence. However your first paragraph is bollocks. Kaminski was "not in the same league" as Pears. Lol.
  15. Don't be daft. We don't do ground renovation.
  16. Let's hope someone channels the inner Roy Wegerle within themselves tonight
  17. Everton given 4 points back on appeal.
  18. Which takes you back to the original decision. If he's stood offside, and making the defender who would normally play the ball have to run around him and possibly not get to the ball, then he is interfering with the defender so it should be given offside.
  19. There's always the casual fan interested in a game like this. There's 4 going from my work who, despite all being Rovers fans and having a history of attending previously, haven't paid to go to a game all season.
  20. No it was "What I do know is that money can’t buy a thriving and positive culture in a football club or any organization." when talking about how close the Liverpool squad and Klopp all seem, and that's true. Sometimes you can bring in all the big money signings you want but it won't equate to a great team spirit. Look at the end of Roy Hodgson's Ewood career.
  21. EDDIE HOWE has told his Newcastle United players to put last night’s thrashing at Arsenal behind them as they turn their attention to their “biggest game of the season” at Blackburn on Tuesday night.
  22. Yep. Fair play to the Liverpool kids, but as a Chelsea fan you’d be furious at that extra time performance. Having said that, the Liverpool keeper was outstanding in normal time.
  23. You really don’t fancy us in extra time or penalties then.
  24. Being nowhere near the top 4, and having not won anything for generations, Howe would be stupid not to be giving the FA cup his full attention.
