We were in a horrendous slump in form and hurtling down the table. We then decided to sell our best midfielder which left the manager pitifully short in midfield. Fleck was the only person subsequently brought in as replacement / cover but hasn't been able to play any worthwhile minutes at all. I'd say the business of selling Wharton and replacing him was Fleck was pretty high risk given the situation. However, I would balance that out by adding McFadzean has proven to be many times better / more useful than I thought he would be.
