  1. Why would a Director of Football achieve this when everyone else ‘running’ the club has failed. Venkys don’t listen or respond to anyone at Ewood, regardless of their title, role or background.
  2. When Waggot gets confirmation from the V’s that TM’s contract is not being renewed, then we will get an announcement. The only reason not to announce it is because you’re not 100% sure it’s definite. Waggot will have recommended Mowbray stays but Venkys don’t agree and have said they’ll phone Mowbray to explain the situation this week (hence the TM comments about not knowing how much authority Waggot has and expecting a ‘phone call’. Anyone who thinks Waggot and the owners are in discussion about who to interview and what kind of manager they want are in cuckoo land. There will be a Teams meeting scheduled early June to discuss it.
  3. Although if Luton had no injuries themselves they would possibly have had more points. We won’t be the only club to have suffered over the season, Luton-chief-is-praying-for-some-divine-intervention-to-heal-towns-crippling-injury-list
  4. How do this lot (Birmingham) look so shite every season and yet always manage to stay up.
  5. As much as I think Mowbray is a canny operator who knows what he’s doing, in this instance I think he is hedging his bets so he leaves with dignity and reputation held high, whilst not actively saying he wants to leave because deep down he doesn’t. That’s why he hasn’t simply said “Ive made my mind up. I want to leave” However I don’t think there’s any doubt that he has had no communication about his contract. I don’t believe he would go into press conferences and say he hasn’t discussed his contract at all when he actually has. That would be bare-faced, even by Kean standards. Personally I think Waggot would love to keep Mowbray and would recommend that to the owners, but he’s no line to them at the moment either, hence why he’s gone quiet.
  6. It’s popping up on sports feeds all over. The comments from all over the world on it, from people who obviously This could be a master stroke at increasing Asian attendance even further, providing the £430 doesn’t put them off.
  7. Not really. There’s little liquidity in those markets so if a bookie got stung they’ve no chance of balancing the books. That’s why you can only place a maximum of £20 on, for example, Wilcox to be next manager on skybet. And if 5 of us did that now I guarantee it would shorten up significantly from 12/1
  8. Yep. I’d say the best three teams we have seen at Ewood this season are the top 3 in that order.
  9. That just validates his point. A couple of news stories appeared and it probably only took a small number of bets and Lambert was odds on. The bookies market is just an indication of where the money has gone.
  10. The LT are just running with the “I’m leaving, I’ve had no contact about my contract renewal” line. Its hasn’t been announced by the club at all. Were in no different a position today as we were on Friday.
  11. Well he’s taken over a Tony Mowbray team before and got them promoted. Surprising he’s been out of management for 6 years though.
  12. He’s dropped cos Mowbray doesn’t pick him for some personal reason, either between the two or more likely due to contract negotiations. This has regularly been to the detriment of the team. However posters on here claim it is because he isn’t enough going forward and because he is out of contract. Yet he was replaced yesterday by someone who wasn’t good enough going forward, is out of contract and doesn’t play full back.
  13. Disagree there chaddy. Sat in the Jack Walker DE in the first half watching lenihan waste cross after cross I was chuckling at the irony of Nyambe being dropped because he's out of contract and not good enough going forward whilst lenihan was there
  14. In fact this is in general. They’ve put young adult prices up by 16%. They’ve put 12 to 18 year old prices up by 25%. Thats some price hike in 12 months!
  15. Just having my first proper look at this. So if you’re a young adult, possibly at College or Uni, sitting in the cheapest seats in the ground your season ticket goes up by over 16% from the 4th June. But if you’re sat in the expensive seats in the JW central it only goes up by 6% Ok. 👏
  16. Incorrect. We win both games 1-0. Sheff Utd lose 2-1. We miss out on goals scored due to level goal difference because Sheff United scored that injury time 3rd goal last night.
  17. All people are saying is that it's a strange coincidental fact that the team with the best win % of all the teams he has consistently referred happens to be his home-town club. And no other referee seems to have anywhere near the same win % for any other team they have consistently (over 12+ games) managed in the EFL, let alone if it's their home town team or not (I've checked a few refs - obviously couldn't check them all) Assuming that Bournemouth as favourites to win every game under Stroud would have been either 4/7 at home or even money away (they wouldn't have been that short on average but lets say they were), that's 360/1 win accumulator on his first 11 games managing Bournemouth. Of course Bournemouth have been a good team in the EFL since 2008, yet other good teams have nowhere near that win percentage under Stroud (Fulham - 45%, Norwich - 27%, Leeds 52%, WBA - 50%). But it's just a massive coincidence. Like when Sweden play Denmark and the score caption on TV associates it as SWE-DEN. What are the odds ! Disclaimer - In no way am I claiming that Mr Stroud is cheating or being biased. Just that this is a statistical anomaly which may 'interest' people. Seeing as on BRFCS we complain about practically every ref that controls Rovers games, I fully expect him to be called shit or useless after the game regardless of these statistics. In no way am I trying to promote discussion here and in the wider community to raise this matter and make the EFL / referee / fans aware of the situation and influence his decisions in Rovers favour in order to get a win on Saturday. Should Brereton go to ground 'easily' and be rewarded with a late penalty I will take no credit, nor will I suggest the referee has been influenced. Any of the multitude of posts from QPR, Notts Forest or Fulham fans on social media and message boards also highlighting Stroud statistics are not related to myself nor have influenced the contents of this post.
  18. Must just be a whopping coincidence then that there record under him is so good and he happens to be from there.
  19. I can’t find any other clubs he’s reffed 12 or more times that have an 86% win ratio. I can only find his home town club.
  20. This doesn’t look good. https://www.worldfootball.net/referee_summary/keith-stroud/afc-bournemouth/4/
  21. The bottom one also needs a slight goal difference swing.
