  1. Wigan at home. Tip, tap, tip, tap. Something will happen for us, we are above them in the league. Tip, tap, tip, tap.
  2. Middlesboro seem reluctant to either shoot or cross. Seems familiar.
  3. This thread is an interesting read - https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/131799-king-power-in-or-out/
  4. Rubbish. We got pasted at their place. They just overpowered us and closed us down easily. It was in the middle of our 'suicide' phase admittedly. Go back and read the match thread reaction from the final whistle https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/36343-v-luton-town-a-17922/page/16/
  5. Depends on whether you think Burnley and Sheffield United are outstandingly good compared to team that have come first and second in previous years. For the top two sides to be 21 and 11 points clear of 3rd is extremely rare, if has ever happened in recent times. When you think of the Newcastle, Fulham, Norwich teams that have got promoted in recent seasons and none have ever been as far clear as those two are this year.
  6. That's all your opinion. We have no idea or evidence if Broughton has authority, and we have been told we have had a strategy / direction / project for the last 5 years. It seems to be buy young, sell players for profit and hope to get lucky on the pitch through the academy. Broughton might be better at implementing it but again we do not know. GB is as unproven today as he was the day he walked in the door.
  7. I've never known before that when Luton won the league cup in the late 88, they were managed by Ray Harford. They reached the final under him the following year too.
  8. They had the second best away record in the league so I think they'll be OK. They'd beat Coventry. It depends on which Boro turn up. Boro had a purple patch mid season, but they can be a bit Jekyl and Hyde, and I wouldnt fancy Lenihan under that aerial bombardment.
  9. I imagine this would have been a far more 'interesting' pitch invasion at the end had Luton ended up playing Millwall and not Sunderland.
  10. Luton are a physical, powerful team who can also play a bit. Whereas we only have plan A and that is it, they can win games multiple ways. They are dispelling the myths that you have to pass the opposition to death or that you need to spend serious money to be successful in this league.
  11. I’m sure on this issue the sales and marketing brains at Ewood will be using the fact we were the most shown championship club on TV this season to their benefit.
  12. Yes. You’ve still bought the ticket for that game whether or not you still attend.
  13. Again creative thinking needed. Buy a season ticket and for any Saturday game which is moved because of Sky you receive £10 in "loyalty points" which can only be redeemed against next years season tickets. It's positive in two ways - it uses the new extra Sky money the club receive for live games to compensate fans, and also helps with season ticket retention the following summer.
  14. With @Upside Down ‘s suggestion and pricing I would still get a season ticket over membership, but it’s a good idea to try and appeal to fans who can’t make every game. But if the season tickets or buying individually worked out the same price to attend all games, just the £50 membership option to pay on top, I would absolutely go down the membership route. You’d only have to miss 3 games to make it worthwhile. The problem then is the attendances for midweek games and games like Hull on a Saturday night would be pretty low, and if our season was done by March you would have some shocking home attendances. I drag myself down to some games (especially mid week) in the knowledge I have technically ‘bought’ it through my season ticket. I simply wouldn’t go if I hadn’t paid for them. It would be better for us fans, but Im sure Rovers would ultimately lose out. Plus instead of guaranteed money upfront, the income they receive is uncertain and spread throughout the year. For the club a season ticket is still the safest way forward, it’s just simply too expensive at Ewood.
  15. I know this isn’t what he’s doing, but it almost sounds with Tyler now like he’s expecting VAR. It’s like VAR has killed the moment for him. For one of the Brighton goals I looked up after it had gone in and with the way he reacted I just presume he knew it was offside and VAR would rule it out.
  16. Not on a Friday night in November on Sky they won’t.
  17. Waggot will be wincing at the reduction in turnover he can fleece from away followings. We’ve lost Burnley, Sheff U, Wigan and Blackpool and so far the confirmed replacements are Southampton, Plymouth and Ipswich. Matchday prices will need to rise to get that back on budget.
  18. I think one win will be enough for them, although that dent in their goal difference today means that if Leeds got to 35 point they would be lever with Everton but now would probably be ahead on goal diff.
  19. The riverside is a shed with significantly inferior facilities to the other stands. Make the Riverside £290, and match day prices of £18 regardless of opposition. Id guess practically all of the season ticket holders in the JW and BBE wouldn’t move and would be happy with the £50 early bird discount, but suddenly there isn’t an argument that we are uncompetitive against our neighbours or do not offer an entry level price.
  20. If he had done any research on our local competitors pricing at all he would know that Burnley’s prices start from £335, and they knew they were in the Premier league months ago. So clearly he should know we would not be THE cheapest in the premier league.
  21. And missed 1 game. If Undav had left discussions at Ewood excited to be a regular starter at the top end of the Championship for a club he was impressed with, I'm not sure that that makes a whole lot of difference.
  22. Undav must have been intereted in the first place to ultimately "change his mind". They obviously didnt sell the club to him. Once he was 'in the door' with some interest in moving to Ewood, it is up to GB to convince them it is the right move. Failed.
  23. The boos for passing it about at the back were earlier in the season when we over did it massively and cost us goals. For the second half of the season we actually started to hit it forward more direct when required, especially if we were under pressure.
  24. Why don't our under-21's feature in the Papa Johns trophy. They would be eligible I presume, and I know we did enter it one year. You'd hope it would be based on finishing position in the Premier League 2 the year before but it looks like it has been only actual Prem clubs for the last few seasons. Is it that only 16 places are available and Premier League clubs get first dibs at it? Or do we simply elect not to enter it? Not saying it's a good idea. Just curious as to why we aren't in it.
