  1. It's an exciting test, but not one that technically good. Batting, on both sides, has been erratic, as has the bowling. No one person or team has taken control. To me, Cook seems like an English version of Clark.
  2. How can they be misleading? It's a results based ranking. Norbert, Tests are played on a home and away basis, so half the time India play it will be on someone else's turf.
  3. It's a test between the third and fourth ranked sides, and it's showing.
  4. How true, pg. I'd love to have Steve Waugh leading a team. Hard as nails, gave 'em nothing.
  5. Well done Agar and Phil Hughes. Some poor bowling from England though. pg has it right, with the exception of Clarke the top order is poor
  6. Got to admit that this thread facinates me. It tells me what you guys are eating and to some extent drinking (along with the real ale thread). I'm somewhat amazed at the lack of variety on offer. For example less than one mile away I can get: good pub food Italian Japanese Chinese Modern Australian (never worked that one out) Thai The Chippy with a great variety of exotic fish. All what I would consider as good and value for money. This, in a small suburban centre that services no more than 4-5000 people. Yep, it has gained a reputation and people come from all over (it's impossible to park at times), but it offers variety. It seems that the success of one restaurant has others to try it. I wonder why something similar hasn't happened in or around Blackburn and it's environs?
  7. 'boots, don't you realise that 70 is the new 50?
  8. Sad news. RIP Dominic.
  9. A sad loss. Rest in Peace Kelvin. Condolences to his family and friends
  10. I never met or knew the guy, but as part of the Rovers family, I offer my condolences to his family. Thanks for that post Iam, it adds to the history of our club. Perhaps we can add this to or create a part of this website that highlights supporters past and present.
  11. Jan, I remember her for arranging a trip to Melbourne to include Sydney, so we could meet up. Not many would do that. She always has my respect. Blue Phil and ASEF, whilst I didn't always agree with their posts, they did bring some thought provoking posts to the board. The level of debate on here is lesser for their absence. I trust that all will return soon.
  12. When I'm not listening to Pandora.com(Jazz and Blues), I'm onto upchucky.com for a fix of 60's Rock and Roll with a bit of Dylan thrown in.
  13. Sharks (without Gallen) beat the Storm. That'll do me for the weekend.
  14. Anyone else use UpChUcKy.com? Music from the 40's to 1999 in a jukebox format. Apparently no issues with it either.
  15. Sorry, Coroners don't "allow" anything or anyone. They are there to get the facts and as many answers as they can. Sometimes their findings cause much grief, other times they give some closure to those left.
  16. Not being a great fan of League, but I find this comment absolute rubbish. What you are saying is that the international board (and I presume they have one) have acquiesced to an ARL request. Anyway, a mate of mine, Bill, is the head honcho of the refs in Australia, so I'll ask him next time I see him.
