Im a season ticket holder in the bbe lower, but unfortunatly, i was ill from about when i got home from Wigan to this morning, which meant that i missed the pompey game, but watched it on sky. I thought a crowd of 19,600 was excellent, sky said pomp had around 300 travelling fans so that means around 19,500 home fans. Considering we have alot of games on and its a expensive period in general and it was unglamourus opposition, at night on sky, it was a pretty decent effort. The attendance seemed about right on tv, cos there was the usual massive gaps in the JW upper (we really must review the pricing up there), gaps all over the riverside, upper Darwen closed and only a total of about 2,500 in that whole end. I rang up y'sday to secure my season ticket seat for the semi and as someone else mentioned it was the first time ive had to queue since the burnley cup tie! Cmon Rovers

Was a the match y'day and was of course absoutly delighted with the performance and scoreline against Wigan. However, i would like to comment on something that has been raised on the official board. I was sitting in the right hand third of the away end and on the official board those sitting near to the stand to our left said that the home fans sang 'town full of pakis'. I thought they were singing 'town full of smack heads', but as i mentioned i was on the other side of the stand. Can anybody confirm what was sung?

Some of you Rovers fans who live in Blackburn need to grow up and stop moaning. I met somone y'sday, who had woken up a 6am on wed mourning in Southamton where hes from, taken the coach to London, waited 3 hours in the cold for a 6 hour coach journey from London to Blackburn. Then obviously find out that the match is off, but the return coach is an overnight 1 to London leaving at 22.25 from Blackburn. It arrives in London at 6am where he had to get another coach to Southamton and he was due to get home to his house at around 10am. He had work an hour later. Thats the kinda dedication that more locals need to show! I heard from a Sunderland fan i met that they had over 4,000 fans travelling down and it would have been a crowd around the 24k+ mark. Crying shame but the weather mostly (and the club to a small degree as well) should take the blame

For those who have much greater knowledge then me about young players, how far away would you say Garner, S Peter or Taylor are from the first team squad? Do you think they look like they can make it as professional players?

Very frustrating on saturday, Dickov's shoot deserved to go in and reward the superb Rovers support that sang 'barmy army' for most of the last 20mins. It was a game where key points made the difference, Emerton not scoring the open goal, Peds hitting the bar, rather than going in the top corner, and Dickov being offside when perhaps on would have changed the result of the game. We played reasonably well from start to finish, and im pretty sure that the free kick for their 1st goal was not a free kick. Savage was our best player for sure on saturday, whereas tugay was quiet. I have to admit, i dont like the bently behind Dickov lark that Hughes is doing at the moment would like to see a more out and out front 2. Dickov played well to be fair tho. We need Bellamy back as soon as poss, i guess that goes without saying. Boro defense looked a little shaky against spurs so im still hopeful that we can get 2 favourable results against them this week. We're due some bloody luck after all!

Just ordered my ticket now on the phone, no queue whatsoever, took about 45 seconds. Always works, just wait until the initial panic is over on each morning and wait till mid-afternoon and you always get seen to quickly!

Tell him if he gets a half season ticket for himself and another member of his family you might consider it Anyway, will get my ticket today and its great to see demand so high. Does frustrate however, when you think about our average travelling support. Cant even sell 1,900 for old trafford!

Yeh your right ive just checked out soccer-stats and it is 19905. For the rest of the season, bar portsmouth i dont expect any sub 20K gates. Wigan will have as they drop down the league.

Bellamy has only been back to full %100 fitness for about a week. To get injured again is sickening. Still, lets stay postive lads we can still win games. To be fair bellers has missed a hatful of chances recently............. Screw it, i cant put a positive light on it, WE'RE DOOMED!

I dont see it as a poor excuse. When people get played out of place, they make mistakes. Surely you would have remembered that frightful day against wba on the opening day of last season when Souness, trying to make up for the lack of left footers in the team the previous yr, put about 6 in the team that saturday! It would be hard to critize Zurab that badly, as it aint his best position.
