  1. I dont know why we bother sometimes. Why dont we just sit there in silience next time so the pc bigade dont get offended. What a load of b.s, 1 of the best travelling atmopheres that we've had for ages (liverpool fans on the bbc board said best travelling support so far, which includeds manure and chelsea) and people still have to find the negative
  2. Can people please remember that Liverpool fans sing songs gloryfing Munich and United fans Hilsbourough, so whilst im not condoning our cisse chants, let keep it all in context yeah?
  3. Wigan had 22,500 on today, which included 5,000 travelling fans.
  4. Im very proud of the Rovers players and fans today as both were superb. We are starting to play very well at the moment, there was no doubt in my mind that we were the better team for the first 30mins and if not for the referee giving us 10 men then im sure we would have taken at least a point away from anfield. Hopefully the red card will be taken away, cos as soon as i saw the challange, i thought free kick and yellow card. The red ruined what could have been a decent match. Liverpool were an absoulte disgace today and that is 1 of the biggest 'papering over' jobs ive ever seen in my life. No creativty, desire, passion and that squad assembled for over £100m playing against a small east lancashire club who had been reduced to 10 men for the vast majority of the match. They never looked like scoring and it was always gonna come from a set peice. Despite the above, i still thought it was 1 of the most enjoyable away trips ive ever been on. Our support was absoulty magnificent, singing and chanting throughout the game, i had partially lost my voice just after the end. Such passion from the Rovers fans and it would be great to replicate that every week. Yes the cisse chant was bad, but hey liverpool fans take the ###### outa munich and united fans outa hilsbourgh, so lets not over react Liverpool fans were embarrising and as the Rovers fans said, the worst support we've every seen (seen/heard same difference). (For me, that includeds a league cup 2nd rnd game against portsmouth in our promotion yr when we won the first league 4-0 and the 3nd leg was played in front of 2,300 and they were better!) The didnt actually sing for the home game until a half hearted 'cisse hows ur leg' just after they scored. I would hate to support a club like that, despite the succes, results are just expected and they just sit there in silence! Ewood is a couldran in comparrison.
  5. Im going from my university (crewe station) on the train to Liverpool. Ive heard that the ground is miles away from lime street, so ive heard that the best idea is to walk about 10 min into the town centre and get a bus to the ground. There are a few busus that go to the ground!
  6. According to the offical site, there are only restricted view tickets left out of the 2,000 allocation. So its basically a sell out, hey thats not bad for us!
  7. Right, ignore my above questions as ive just watched his interview on Roversworld and found out the answer to those questions are both 'yes'!
  8. Looking forward to this game, as its the first time i have ever been to the ground. Heard its an absolute morgue for run-of-the-mill fixtures like this 1! Im in row 26 which i presume is quite near the back, and i hope the Rovers fans create a superb atmosphere like we always do away from home Hows the ticket sales going for this game Lee? I dont see why we can go there and get a victory or at least a point. L'pool play in fits and spurts and can often flatter to deceive. If we go with a similar attitude to the manure game and get the Emerton who played against wba to go up against Traore i think we can get some joy on that side. Finally, this is a question ive thought about many time before, but never bothered to ask. Can you ask to for a specific part of an away allocation?? In the past ive just ordered the ticket, but can you ask, for example at Anfield 'can i sit towards the left hand side of the allocation towards the back'??
  9. Two questions. 1.) The title of the thread is 'Blackburn born', thats all well and good but more importantly, was he brought up in Blackburn? And.... 2.) Is he a Blackburn fan?
  10. Who in their right mind would go to Chelsea? I could be a Rovers fan living in the hotel in the back of 1 of those sodding SB stands and i wouldnt pay that money to watch the game!
  11. All i can say, is thank God we are on a decent run at the moment and are up around mid-table. If we say lost to manure and drew with wba, i dread to guess what the b'ham crowd would have been. As it is, the positivity around ewood at the mo should see us get 18k ish
  12. Of those games however, wigan have had games where they have attracted more travelling fans. They have havent had a team whose brought less than 2,500 and we managed to get more for wba home then they did for their 'grudge' derby with notlob!
  13. Is that total sales Lee, cos there was a vast difference between the amount of htfc fans in the grnd at kick-off and at the start of the 2nd half! Does that figure include all the late coming htfc fans?
  14. Wasnt that last sunday tho, id hope we'd have sold some more tickets during this week!
  15. How are the ticket sales going for this 1? I hope we can sell out or at least get close to it! Cant go to OT on sat as im moving down to university in Keele Stoke-on-Trent to start my uni course!I'll still keep my s/t of course
  16. Right then, lets have your nominations for players that Rovers were trying to buy (ie put in a bid) or had an offer accepted but could agree personal terms/medical problem, that now your very glad we didnt actually sign. This isnt players Rovers were only linked with. I'll get us started with Matt Jones, remember him. Souness had a bid accepted back in the promotion season, but lcfc sole him away at the last minute. At the time i was disappointed, now i dont know if he even has a career anymore!
  17. Good result last night, and well worth the time going to Ewood. Must say tho, i was supprised with qu's outside the bbe at about 7.55pm, huge! i wonder how long they took to clear? As for the htfc fans, they only stopped coming in at half time Some points id like to raise. Whilst i like Bentley as a player, he is very creative and excites people, i cant help but thinking is isnt a right midfielder. How many times was neill exposed down that left flank. He doesnt track back enough or solid enough in the tackle! Better played as the attacking player of 3 centre mid's. Bellamy, is a different class to the rest of the team tho, his pace for someone who obviously isnt fully fit is quite amazing. Last night, he didnt even bother doing a trick, he simply just ran past players. I knew he was fast, but that fast!! The linesman was embarissing actually, i felt sorry for him. Some of the decisions he made in the first half were bad, could see that quite clearly from bbe lower. However the worst was in the 2nd half when bellamy collected the ball behind defenders to run at them and was flagged LOL. Finally the crowd. Htfc should be congradulated on their superb support. Something that lower teams will do from big towns every so often. Glad they had a goal to cheer and Abbot looks very useful. However, what was that chant they did which sounded like a series of monkeys making noises? Glad to get through, how many prem teams either got upset or had to do ET?
  18. According to htfc website they have sold out their allocation that we game them first up and are selling on the door. I guess we game them 3,000 and they sold them out and will then sell more on the door. Im going tonight, havent seen a goal yet this season so for a £5 i cant go wrong
  19. Yeh fair play, i dont blame anyone for not going, but how many clubs woul love to be in our position? About 70, out of 92 professional clubs a pretty good %. Now im not trying to bury my head in the sand, but i mean look at city fans, they were averaging 28,000 2 div's less than us! We arent anywhere near that stage yet people are giving up on us!
  20. Isnt this fun? ] We should easily be able to beat them on average crowds. Their gates against sunderland and boro were absolute crap. A promoted team with a population of 300k+ only being able to to get around 14,000 home fans (about 3,500 from afc S and 2,000 from boro) is pathetic imo!
  21. C'mon people ffs, get a grip!! Paul, c'mon mate thats not like you, 1 bad game and your gonna give in? Get yourselves to the game, got my ticket before the n'castle game and will hopefully see a few goals. Its only £10 there are no excuses, i mean what would Macclesfield fans give to be in our position (lost 4-1 at home in league 2 at weekend) and here is us moaning about 1 game. Its bad, but lets respond and get behind the lads. We might even enjoy this game cos its cup
  22. Imo, the turing point of the match was when the ref failed to send off Taylor earlier on whilst it was 0-0 when bellers skinned him down the right and he fouled for a second booking. If that had happened, souness would have had to swap 1 of his strikers for another defender and then really try and close out the 0-0. However, i still dont how that finished 0-0. We played ok, no-one had a bad game and bellers ran the channels well. Didnt put the ball n the back of the net and that makes all the difference. Lets have less of the knee jerk reactions, if bellers had flicked his boot about 10 cm's the other way from the Neill(?) drive, eveything would be hunky-dory. Its not, so lets re-group and try to gain confidence by scoring a couple against htfc! Somebody's gotta do the positive post
  23. Im going cos i havent seen a bloody goal yet this season! I missed the first 2 games cos i was in Eygpt on holiday and have so far been to spurs and n'castle at Ewood and also travelled to Villa but havent seen us score! A couple of gaols would make wed night to worth it
  24. Decieded to go to this one and put my money into Blackburn, rather than go to bolton (as Paul once advised me) last weekend. I hope its a good win, after all, that would be great value for money considering im paying £5 for a ticket
  25. Before i post, a quick comment on the front page articule of the site. N'castle didnt bring 7k as they were allocated i believe a maximum of 5,500 (it may have been less). Anyway, boy i wish this was a 3pm sat kick off not on sky, it would make the game so much better. Bigger crowd and better atmosphere, but unfortunatly its on sky t.v, the lifeblood but also killer of english football I think Rovers will win this game as our midfield will dominate. No dyer, emr...... y'all know who's missing! At home where we have played well so far this season will give us our 2nd victory of the season and much needed before a difficult trip to o/t next week! Obviously there will be some needle for this game, bellers, souness, owen (first away game) and Shearer last at Ewood. A good game and victory for Rovers 3-1 Kuqi, emerton and mgp 24,300 Oh and btw, guilt trip time. A mate of mine who lives in London but is orinally from Blackburn is, taking an overnight coach on sat night to blackburn for the sunday and then taking an overnight coach on the sun night for the monday. Who says Rovers fans aint putting the effort in LOL!
