  1. I know its hillarious I agree, this has the potential to ruin Man united, how can anyone not find it fun? Perhaps all their money and greed has caught up with them, if they had united fans in charge instead of those 2 irishmen this situation couldnt have happened. However as they are so driven by money, the irishmen are in charge and this has happened, a lesson there. However i do feel sorry for the genuine united gans as they're aint a lot they can do. If 20,000 real fans boycott the games then part-time people who dont understand the situation will merley come and take their place. Had to laugh at 1 comment by a guy from the united supporters group. He said that because of todays news, he had 'ripped up his s/t on the spot'. Boy that must have taken some doing, what with the last home game on the season have already been played! He needs 75% to take them off the stock exchange.
  2. 1.) Dont worry, we'll finish above you. 2.) About 1,300. More than the that huge club b'ham brought to Ewood 3.) Cheers for cash from taylor, dunn, johnson and Yorke
  3. Yeh i guess, good point about Blake, i was more thinking about the 'easy' thingy. But surley he would have been pretty motivated anway being an ex-claret. He was always gonna get abused, fact of life. To turn it around Jan, are you saying that ex Rangers wouldnt get slagged off playing against celtic for another spl team? I want us to finish as high as possible, just like you, but i reckon we will get 3 from fulham and 1 from spurs giving us around 11th? i wonder what the board budgeted for if they have already dont the accounts?
  4. Of course i care about the future of the club, so be so patronizing. In reality Jan, we are not gonna finish in 9th place 11th is far more realistic. I cant see the problem in winding the away fans it harly motivates their players on the pitch. You take the good with the bad and the bad with the good. And yes there is a difference, but what is wrong with having some banter with the oppostion fans whilst backing our team as well?
  5. We didnt loose sh1t today you muppet. We wouldnt have finished anywhere higher than 12th anyway and if we get 4 points from the last 2 we will prob get that place anyway. We've stayed up saving the club £20m and the Rovers fans went to support their club. Nowt wrong with that.
  6. Dont take yourself so bloody seriously. The result of the match didnt really matter that much, so whats wrong with having a bit of fun. We gave sh!t to Blake cos he is a Basterd and we did that 'easy' thing cos its funny . It was good to see b'ham fans doing it at the end, cos it shows that it made an impact and pi$$ed them off!
  7. Ah ha, check out my thread below, ive just picked up on it
  8. Going to the game on sat, be my 2nd tripto b'ham in about 4 days . Should be a good game, with the pressure off i think both teams will hope to get a victory. Would love a win to stuff it down that 'big clubs' neck. Any idea how many tickets we've sold for the game, we had a 1,500 allocation, they should be almost sold out?
  9. A good laugh last night and a very relaxed atmosphere from the Rovers fans. This was in direct contrast to the nervous, tense often quiet bagges fans and makes me VERY thank-ful that we are long clear of the drop zone. Our fans didnt care on the result, just wanted to have a sing song ! I thought that the 1-1 was the fair result. Savage was the best player on the park in the first half but wasnt as good in the 2nd, more kept the game ticking over whilst we were camped in their half. Wba defended too deep after their goal and we did look like getting a goal which is unlike us of course. Stead MUST be the unluckist man in football hitting the post again. Chaplow got lots of well deserved stick Nice goal from Emerton, very good finish where we ripped them apart tho it wasnt 1 of his best games. I hope we can return next yr to West Brom as id like to see them stay up. Its tough for them but they can still do it. Finally, all i have left to say is 'get those tickets sold for B'ham, as we're gonna need the best suport possible in what will be a hot reception for Savage'. There was about 1200 fans at WBA and they were excellent, same again on sat please.
  10. You can get a train just as easy it costs £1.50 for a return. It takes about 5 or 6 mins and is pretty regular. Cheers mate nice 1. Just a thought, but isnt pay on the gate going to be a bit risky? After all this is a huge game for them, they must win and the home ends im sure will sell out. Therefore, wont some wba fans try and infiltrate the 'on the gate' Rovers allocation? Those brummy accents can easily be explained away, and colors hidden
  11. Flopsy, how much is the metro service from Snow Hill to the wba ground? Do you get a discount from a young persons card by any chance?
  12. Yeh, me and my mate are going. We are getting the train down to B'ham from Blackburn in the afternoon (missing a coupla of lessons in the process lol from my alevel course). We're going into B'ham New Street, can we walk from there as i really dont wanna bother messing around with metro and that Snow something or other station? Any idea how many we've sold? its a long bloody walk - get the train to new street, walk to Snow hill, get on the Metro, its about 6 miles from New Street Station if you want to walk Cheers mate, 6miles that puts walking outa the question. We'll just have to get the metro then, which should be ok. I hope we are gonna have a reasonable following 1000ish??

  14. 2-2, depite all those saying it wont be a draw. Should be a good game and im looking forward to this 1. Should be a good atmosphere today and a 26k+ crowd with any luck. Pederson and Stead for us and Fowler and Reyna for them. P.S anybody know is city have sold out or how many they're bringing?
  15. I would like to see young Garner given a go, im not sure which of the others as im not an expert on the youth team. On another matter, are we now a 4-5-1 team? Ive thought that we played 4-5-1 vs the big teams to stop them playing but would open out to 4-4-2 when playing those around us? Can you see us reverting to 4-4-2 if we get a coupla of strikers in the summer?
  16. i think you will find Amo is a legend at ibrox. He was man of the match in almost every old firm game and won alot of trophys at Rangers. He just loses concentration in smaller games, hes not a bad player tho. Is Celtic v Rangers a small game? I seem to remember an incident when Amo was outpaced by that record-breaking sprinter, John Hartson, and subsequently brought him down to give away a penalty. From what i heard, Amo was generally decent in Old Firm games or European matches cos he had to concentrate for 100% of the time. However, problems seemed to arise when he had long periods of not doing much vs motherwell and would then make a costly error. I always seemed to be in the smaller games where he made the headlines.
  17. The gits, it was 30mins away from the fecking deadline. Traitors in the fa, for the crap the big clubs have done.
  18. Thank-goodness, it gives us a much better chance of winning. We are in a lucky position compared to Palace as the pressure is off us. We can afford a defeat, i aint saying we're gonna lose, but if we do we can still comfortably stay up. A defeat for Palace would be awful. I reckon their desperation for points will give them a draw at Ewood. 1-1 with Reid scoring for us. Perhaps a sub 20k, but with any luck, with a decent travelling support, the fact it aint on tv and catergory b prices should see it above that figure.
  19. Yeah it was brilliant. I was in the upper tier, row 16 behind the goal in the North End. When they scored, it was brilliant to look round at all the flags waving and people standing. Also enjoyed sitting outside a bar after a game with about 30 Rovers fans. Everytime Arsenal fans when past- everyone went silent and started going "SSsssssshhhhhhhhhhh!". Priceless. It was unreal. I was sat in the lower tier next to the corner flag, about half-way back. First, 1 guy stood and started chanting, then another, then a whole bunch of people and then the whole flipping stand. Standing and singing till the end from that point, something i will treasure for the rest of my life! Transport that to Ewood and hey presto problemo solved!
  20. When push comes to shove, we will be playing prem football next season and these 2 prob and certainly 1 of them wont. No matter what the media says, they cant sent us down with mere words and we should be a prem club for years to come. The media will forget about all this crap by the end of next season whereas relegation affects clubs for yrs to come. Pride and Passion after that 2nd goal was incredible. Arse fans, take a look
  21. The first thing i have to mention was our superb support today. As i have been trying to say all along, i think its better to have 18k hardcore fans as opposed to that plus another 12k day-trippers. The arsenal support was nothing short of discusting atmosphere wise and i was very proud of 18k Rovers fans easily outsinging the 30 arse fans. The best part was when they scored their 2nd goal and we (those in lower tier) simply stood up and started singing and continued it to the final wistle! As Green said on 606, all i could hear after arsenal scored their 2nd was rovers fans singing! I really enjoyed the day and wasnt too disappointed with the result, though i did think the third goal took a little of the gloss off it. Proud to be a Rover tonight!!
  22. Excellent, that defo gives us a better chance of winning. Nice to see the copy and paste service is still working at the bbc!
  23. I thought the 2 games were very anti-climatic. Both of the behind teams were at home and perhaps with an early goal and the ground really rocking they could get back into the game. In reality the away teams in chels and ac milan already with the upper hand went and ended that by both of them going ahead in their respective ties. The only time when something interesting happened was when Bayern scored to make it 1-1 and boy if Ballack's header which was cleared of the line went in, we woulda had 1 hellova 20min spell. As it was im glad Chels went through. As for the Derby game, absolute pre-planned madness aint ever seen anything like it. We thought we were bad boys for letting off a flare in the riverside after the dingle game
  24. I had a feeling that this thread would crop up again once i saw the score flash across sky sports news LOL
  25. I could name numerous games in recent yrs which have been more important, Playoff 91-92, l'pool 95, wothy cup final, preston promotion 00-01. Personally i would actually find it more pathetic if 30k rovers fans would turn up to cardiff at £45 a head, but only 20k turn up at £20 a head against Palace!
