Brazil won't start playing to their potential until they drop Ronaldo. And Adriano. As soon as Robinho came on they started to look a threat coming forward. They have never been great in defence. Lucio is a good defender but apart from him the best defender for me was Ze Roberto...who plays in midfield. Kaka has been one of the more impressive players in the side during the two games, Ronaldinho not at his best at the moment.

You have to cut SGE some slack when you consider that he's had three key players out injured for long periods before the world cup. Ashley Cole and Michael Owen both look completely out of form and a competition like this isn't the right place to give them "match practice". Then there's Wayne Rooney. He looked ok when he came on yesterday but 30 mins isnt enough to tell what shape he's in. So what should SGE have done? I'm pretty sure he would have been absolutely slammed if he didn't pick Cole and Owen, particularly Owen, in the squad. So he can't win either way. The midfield is a problem, the Gerrard/Lampard partnership doesn't seem to work. It's unbalanced. I'd give Hargreaves a chance, I think it's an absolute shame that England fans actually booed him when he came on against Paraguay. He's a very good player, shame most people can't see that. As for the T&T game, it was obvious what they were going to try to do. When you're playing a team who defends that deep with as many men behind the ball as they did you need to stretch them and use the wingers to get to the byline. Not really Englands strenght...well, until Lennon came on. Perhaps Beckham should have started at right back with Lennon infront of him. He's quite capable of playing there against opposition like T&T. And for whoever said Beckham should be dropped. Three England goals, three Beckham assists...

A game that England should win comfortably. So they probably won't. 1-0, plenty of wasted chances and more stupid criticism of SGE.

What do you expect though? Tactically, Eriksson got it right. They got the goal they needed and secured the win. They did just enough to get what they had to get from the game. Sure, it was unimpressive but you can't put all the blame on the manager for that. Once the game kicks off it's down to the players and some of them were very poor. The Lampard/Gerrard duo should be a good one but today there was a lack of balance to the midfield. They have to decide between them who is going to hold and who's going to come forward. And to me, both are better going forward than sitting deep. And finally, during the last 30 mins England looked knackered. As we know all to well, if you can't follow through during all 90 mins, you're not going to win as many games as you should. Just ask Mark Hughes.

A very solid and very professional job today. Was a bit worried when Nelsen had to come off so early but even then we looked totally in control. What a difference Tugay makes to our play. Balances things out nicely.

Anyway, the DS lite looks very good but I caved while in a gameshop today and bought a DS + Mariokart. I just couldn't help it.

I have seen the PSP Cocker, but I have also seen the price. I'd love to get one but can't really afford to at the moment, particularly since I'm planning to get a 360 some time after my exams this summer. I'm going to treat myself to one if I pass. The DS is available for under 90 quid though, which is doable.

So I'm thinking about getting a DS but I'm not completely sure. I grew up on Nintendo but haven't touched anything from them since the N64, which was...not very good. From time to time I get this urge to go retro and play some Mario stuff though and I could do with something to entertain me while commuting. But what are the games like these days? Good selection? Top games? DS owners, sell me on this!

Tugay against Fulham or Bellamy's first against Pompey for my money. Although its hard to pick one this year, very hard indeed.

Everyone apart from Bellamy is bloody awful at the moment. We are letting them dominate the midfield for some reason so we have no platform to attack from and nothing to protect the back four. Hardly even seen Pedersen and Bentley and as for Dickov...Bellamy might as well be playing upfront on his own. Did someone not tell them that we are fighting for a possible champions league spot here? Because it sure doesn't look like we are.

Kuqi came on for Bellamy and we've lost all attacking threat.
