Conclusion: where the bloody hell was the Graham alternative if you deem Brereton a winger, Tony?

This. The exact question that needs asking. I suspect he’ll come out with some jive like ‘Nuttall’ or ‘Palmer/Dack can play that role’ but it needs asking as the alternatives to Graham do not work (Brereton could be the man but right now it feels like we’ll never know).

What’s the reason for Dack’s very poor form (minus the goals)? Position deployed by TM? Head turned by the supposed bright lights of the Premier League? Olivia Attwood playing him like an accordion once again? One or all of them? Part of me thinks we should snatch someone’s hands off for £20+ million and invest IF the loons somehow stuck to their word of actually allowing a manager to do that.

Mowbray doesn’t seem to get it in his post match presser. The issue here isn’t not starting Graham if he’s not quite fit. It’s having absolutely zilch in regards to an alternative (and I’m not including Brereton or Armstrong as TM clearly doesn’t consider them as strikers - another debate alone).

Yep. Should have been done in the summer. Ludicrously wasn’t - yet we could find £7m for a ‘winger’ in Mowbrays eyes. If a CF isn’t top of the wish list then we need a new gaffer.

Asked Sharpe on Twitter to ask and he said he would. Suspected it’s because ‘Graham can’t play 46 games’ yet I) he hasn’t played for 2 weeks and II) why didn’t he bring in a Graham alternative in the summer instead of splashing £7m on a ‘winger’ in Brereton?

Of course we will; TM makes 3-5 changes per match on average. Bloke doesn’t know his best team if it bit him on the arse.

Sharpe needs to really quiz TM on his summer recruitment. If he doesn’t trust Arma or Brereton to play the Graham replacement role (and I can see why with the former at least), then why didn’t he bring in somebody who could play the bloody role instead of playing midfielders up top regularly? It’s so basic it’s infuriating.
