Exactly. We need experience in the middle. Not another young lad, and certainly not one that's not ours. IMO. Time these European scouts started earning their corn.

Would prefer we sign quality rather than numbers (which is what I would guess he's being brought in for). Just another young lad from another club which will block the likes of Morton. Hope I'm wrong, and no I've not seen him Chaddy.

The frustration with Morton for me is IMO he's blocking Wharton's progression with us and I personally don't believe the Liverpool lad to be a better player, which leads me to think that we have an agreement with Liverpool that he must start the majority of matches. If our whole club philosophy is to now increase value in players, then Wharton should be starting (granted with spells out of the 11 given his age).

Ash Phillips named 50th in Four Four Two’s list of best teenagers in the world, whilst Dolan and Adam Wharton both made EFL’s 21 under 21 list. Great recognition for the lads and the club.

To be fair, whilst he’s clearly not at that level, isn’t Giles top of the assists league again? Mowbray’s use of him was criminal.

We’re so sh*te. Just don’t create hardly any real decent chances anymore it would seem (thank God we were putting away every single one we had earlier in the season). You can see why our xg is so low.

This is why I believe we’re going to nosedive. It’s not all about stats, but too many are too damning. We now can’t hold onto leads - our speciality - so I just have this strong feeling that we’re heading into freefall mode.

Don’t feel guilty, pal. The moment we go behind in a game, we could play til New Year ‘23 and still not get back into matches. I’m joining the ‘concerned’ camp. Our forte was holding onto slender leads and we can’t even do that any more; dress it up whichever way you want with the Buckley red but we’ve been ahead in two matches and came out with zero points. As an aside, if the plan is to add value to the squad (lol) why aren’t we playing our best two prospects in A Wharton and Phillips? Baffling in the extreme that Wharton in particular can’t get a kick.

It’s just so bloody boring as a Rover when we fall behind. We all know you can get your mortgages on us not coming back. It’s been going on for years, indicating a huge mentality issue within the club.

We’re now losing games where we lead - which just wasn’t happening for the first half of the season. We are going to nosedive down the league.

Awful. Yet again. Holding onto leads was our forte - now that’s over I fear for us given we can never get back into games.
