He's clearly not an idiot, so I can only assume he/Broughton have committed to the owners that this is our style of play, this is how we'll increase 'value in the squad' and despite the many bumps in the road, this is how we'll continue. 100% wrong IMO, but there's got to be more to this than just JDT being stubborn. The only thing that flies in the face of this though is not playing our own players over loanees (the likes of Vale/Markanday over the awful Hirst, Wharton over Morton, Phillips over an ageing/injury prone Ayala etc.).

Save for Swansea and Blackpool, you'd have been forgiven for thinking we were playing against the Premier League Top 6 for our matches on the road this season. 1 goal in 6, an XG that is embarrassingly low, no shots on target last night, two the match previous (one of which was a penalty). It's like we're little minnows aiming for a giant killing...against the likes of mighty Luton, Wigan and Cardiff!

I'd suggest last night was almost a carbon copy of Spurs away where we didn't have a shot.

They’re the only three plus perhaps Kaminski (although he was parrying too much tonight) and Pickering who I would give a nod to as well. It says a lot about the team that you could genuinely make a case for dropping 8-9 from the starting eleven come Saturday. And we’re saying the same thing every other match!
