I'm usually as cup half empty as they come since this lot rocked up into town over a decade ago, but I still think we'll win tonight. COYB, still going for 2-1 so long as we put our best side out and don't start messing around with what got us this far.

Swansea were dog sh*t before playing us and are dog sh*t after playing us too. An appalling result and performance. We simply have to bounce back tomorrow. As an aside, Fulham will have the league wrapped up by Easter.

Sure I read that he needed 3 U23 matches before he could play for the first team (believe he's made 2), but may have just been some Mowbray waffle! I have a feeling we'll win tomorrow night. I still cannot believe that we started with a front 3 of Giles-Buckley-Hedges. Damning indictment of our recruitment, and for a team going for promotion it simply isn’t good enough. We have huge issues putting the ball in the back of the net.

2 goals in 6 games yet we don’t need more firepower!! A baffling decision which IMO is gonna cost us big time. How many goals does he think all these wide men are going to get? Cos it ain’t gonna be enough - their careers to date tell us that.

Another comment that struck me in his post match presser was how he talked about us having ‘young players making poor decisions.’ I banged on about us needing some experience brought in during January but it simply didn’t happen. A wise old head to bring on up top, or an experienced pro in the middle of the park to get us over the line in tight games. Buck stops with Mowbray there surely, which is why comments such as the above make him look very daft.

Not much to say that’s hasn’t already been said, but it was so damn clear that there was zero goals in that side - I said exactly that pre match and unfortunately I was spot on, as were others. As for the lack of bringing in a striker during January, well that really could be what costs us this season. 2 goals in 6 games yet all must be fine on that front. I wondered what on earth Tony was on about in his pre game presser this week talking about Giles whipping in crosses for our forwards to get on the end of. Who are you referring to there Tony?! He had Moore and co at Cardiff, yet at best we have Brereton and he’s poor in the air (save for his goal against Preston). An infuriating night that was just all too obvious.

It’s just so fecking frustrating knowing under Mowbray that if we concede first, 9 times out of 10 (possibly more to be fair) we lose the game. I know, I know I shouldn’t be too critical of the bloke given the season we’ve had to date, but he simply cannot work out how to turn matches around. It’s a fact.

So so deflated tonight. I just have this feeling we’re going to nosedive a little.

Yep. You can’t be losing to the likes of Hull and Swansea if you’re serious about promotion. It’s just so ominous for us whenever we concede the first goal. Firstly we don’t have anywhere enough goals in this side and secondly, we’re terrible at coming back from behind.

For someone very naive around Vale…he went on loan…and it didn’t work. Why not? Is he almost ready at Rovers?

I’ll obviously be supporting Joe Rothwell in our colours for the rest of the season but I do feel he’s got away with one here. He wasn’t looking to force a move to a PL Club or a team halfway down our division…it was our biggest rivals for promotion. As I say, let’s forget about it til May, but the way that Rovers interviewer talked of a heroes reception at Ewood is laughable.

He was also having stints at centre half in 95-96. I remember him launching one up field for Shearer’s hat trick away to Spurs that season.
