  1. Wait is he talking about Gallagher here? Sam Gallagher?
  2. That was my first thought as well. If he's throwing out public criticism of our recruitment team that probably doesn't bode well.
  3. We're the second lowest scorers in the top 16, with Preston the only team with less goals than us (48 to 45). You have to get down to 17th and below to find scoring tallies similar to ours. Blackpool are 23rd and have scored 47. Thankfully outside of a few horror games we've had a decent defensive record this season. Hyam certainly ended up being worth every penny we spent on him, and we can only be grateful that Pears turned out to be not as bad as everyone feared.
  4. The absolute definition of a confidence player. With confidence he stumbles onto scoring goals, without he barely looks like a professional footballer. Just a shit way for his time for us to end all around. Another end of season collapse, another barren second half of the season for BBD, and we won't get a penny for him. Still, without his 14 goals in the first half of the season we'd be nowhere near the playoffs to begin with. Who would have stepped up to score in his absence? Vale, Gallagher, Dolan, Hedges? Lol. A handful from those lot at best, and we'd be somewhere in the lower reaches of the table. We obviously won't miss non-confidence Brereton, but you do wonder how we're replacing the goals he does score when he has a burst of confidence. We have to rely on the recruitment team that was unable to bring in a decent striker in two transfer windows.
  5. Failing to hold our nerve and failing to put away our chances isn't down to luck, to be fair, it's just the team not being good enough. If we could score more than one goal per match we might not have to be so fixated on bad luck.
  6. Disappointing tonight that he was reactive rather than proactive. It was so clear that we needed to make changes at HT, but he waited until we went a goal down 10 mins into the second half before making changes. It may not have made any difference, but it's poor stuff. Regardless, JDT isn't the problem here. Those above him, including the owners, are the root cause and need to be dealt with before we can move forward.
  7. I had a very quick look on wikipedia and could see 8 as the maximum, but it's possible we got less points during the same period as we've drawn a lot of matches during this winless run. Idk, it's shit either way. No doubt about that, but for me this run is still inexcusable. Even the teams at the very bottom of the league are picking up the odd win here and there.
  8. 9 games without a win. A paltry 5 goals scored during that time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even under Mowbray I think the maximum we went without a win was 8 games. Just when you think these kind of collapses are a thing of the past, somehow we outdo ourselves right at the end of the season.
  9. Attackers - that's what you should be doing.
  10. Because our attackers have no idea what they're doing.
  11. Well, you could argue we've been twisting and turning downwards since January. Like a game of snakes and ladders, but with no ladders.
  12. Looking forward to the lap of dishonour.
  13. How is the 'project' suppose to move forward with our current recruitment team and, reportedly, only frees and loans as transfer options? 14 goals from our half-a-season man needing immediate replacement, and more goals required to have a realistic chance of improving on this season. Next season could be a really nasty shock for a lot of people, including JDT if he's still around.
  14. Remember what it felt like to actually win a match? No, me either.
  15. Why make the changes 10 minutes into the second half when it was obvious to everybody that they needed to be made at half time? Pure reactivity to going a goal down.
  16. Yep, that'll be it. Might as well turn off the TV and do something better with your time folks. JDT's Rovers don't do comebacks. Or score goals.
  17. Is Dack really so unfit that he can't play 45 minutes in a crucial match like this? He's the only player who I'd trust putting the ball into the net right now. Crazy to me that he sits on the bench whilst Dolan, Hedges and BBD make scoring a goal look like the equivilent of solving the problem of quantum gravity.
  18. Good squad players if we don't need to rely on any of them to score. Unfortunately that's three of our four primary attacking options. With that said post-December Diaz isn't even a good squad player. He's terrible.
  19. Dolan > Dack Diaz > Traffic Cone Hedges > Thomas Make it so.
  20. Dolan, Hedges and Diaz genuinely look like they'd struggle to score in League 1. Good luck Villareal.
  21. Considering how poor our GD is, I wouldn't feel particularly aggrieved honestly. Getting smashed by Rotherham, Reading and Preston means we get all we deserve on the GD front.
  22. Could we not have just put a traffic cone on the pitch and stuck a picture of Diaz's head to it? At least the ball would have a chance of ricocheting off the cone into a dangerous position. Maybe something to consider at HT.
  23. Always thus. We play better when we're the ones doing the counter attacking. Us dominating possession is the worst thing that can happen.
  24. It's almost like they're being paid not to score.
