Derby vs Rovers post match thread
Husky replied to J*B's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
As well as Dack Dastardly situation, one wonders if being 'top of the bottom of the league' in January will be enough to convince the Venkabaos or The Glen Miller Band or whoever is in charge of the transfer budget to inject something more into the season. Though a place higher will at least show us in the top half of the table . . . -
Derby vs Rovers post match thread

Bit of a strange one really as possession wise we were 'outplayed' though for all their endeavour Derby didn't really create much did they? . . .I can't really remember them having a decent chance - one tonked over the bar from long range and a free kick from way out hitting the bar, . Everything else seemed well blocked/defended. I'd say Dack's chance was far better than anything they had. One thing of note again is that we were simply appalling from set pieces. These are the kind of games you can even nick if you 'do an England 2018 WC job'. After our season so far, I'm not quite sure whether to think we should be pleased that we are normally 'hard to beat' or go the other way and think that we find it too difficult to win and are already drawing too many. -

Perhaps you need to see the next frames. Coming soon . . . . -
Comparatively his bullshit job makes things like throw-in coach and technical coach to loan players look like 6 day, 12 hour shifts down the pits.

Yep, yep, yep. Bad defending all round . . . If that were me I'd be blaming myself for not taking a hit. -
Lucky you.

Rovers v Villa - 15th September 2018

I have to say the 'defending' for the equaliser looked bad on The Quest+1 football show. Player (not in the wall) ducked out of the way on the end, wall wasn't far enough across. The 'guest pundit' put the blame on Raya for not saving it from so far out. -
Betty Boo's attempted 'comeback' has to be up there for that award ?

I missed the first 20 minutes. Perhaps Brereton impressed then? -
Why do we concede so many last minute goals?
Husky replied to Alex Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Because we defend too deep and basically give the opposition 10 minutes or more to play attack v defence, which inevitably leads to chances and goals. -

Very poor since scoring. Defending far too deep, there was no pressure on the ball at all until they were already in our half. Will have to see the goal again, but the wall didn't look the best. Brereton looks like he could be a big waste of money, he looks slow and immobile. Another draw snatched away with some poor defending and game management. -

Oh, Oh. Not the dreaded three at the back.? -
Would have just about been able to make kick off .. . . . but the hunger was too much. Only had breakfast as beer didn't count as early lunch ? Couldn't handle the prospect of paying for 2 live defeats in the same day. As for the cricket, well I'm sure those that port here watched it, there's nothing to say apart from it was diabolical. Also a bit embarrassing how we made Ali look like Muttiah Muralitharan - far too much respect given, basically let him dictate his whole 4 overs. Loads and loads of empty seats, I know that some of them were probably because some Sussex and Somerset fans hadn't arrived, but still, I fail to see how that could have been anywhere near a sell-out crowd-wise. There is definitely something dodgy going on with these 'sold out games', I swear there must be a significant amount wasted on corporates that can't be bothered or simply don't want to go. The only good news was that I actually paid £40 for a ticket - which was less than I would have got one for had I bought officially after Lanc's quarter final (though that's still far too much when you lose). Just seen that the 2nd game was an even more one-sided affair - I wonder how excited the 'neutrals' were by both games. Surely nobody sober could have enjoyed them?

Yet again, more sub standard officiating from M***s In Black. -
Yes. For those that have the 'international pass'.

I had a dream the other night that we got hit for five. . . . Though in the past I have also had amazing dreams about dating ideal women, so perhaps there's nothing to worry about. -

Not so cheeky request. Can anyone recommend a good curry place? -
16:51 in Preston! FFS!???

I think it will be: Liam Livingstone (c), Alex Davies, Keaton Jennings, Jos Buttler, , Dane Vilas, Stephen Croft, Jordan Clark , James Faulkner, Toby Lester, Matt Parkinson, Zahir Khan. Though it's probably a close call between Liley and Croft. . . personally I'd have them both in the team and drop Vilas.
-
Come on, if you cared about money grabbing you certainly wouldn't watch football. I don' think there's a bigger mercenary money grabbing sport out there. Also, the Lancs starting team tomorrow will contain more Blackburn Rovers supporters than the Blackburn Rovers team. ?

In addition Lilley has a much better T20 Blast 2018 strike rate and has scored more runs than Villas.
