  1. Pears looked like a rabbit in the headlights. His distribution in the first half was dreadful - slow telegraphed throwouts putting the recipients in immediate trouble. Does not command the area or anything really. Still Tony has done his old mate a favour.... JRC can't defend and has no pace to recover. Nyambe must be thoroughly pissed off watching that. Douglas is no better than Bell. Lenihan looks broken. Rubbish at both defending and distribution. Evans must be the worst player I've seen in a blue and white shirt in 55 years. He offers absolutely nothing. Gallagher couldn't trap bag of cement. Apart form that all good.
  2. McNamee missed alot of games and often played almost on one leg with hamstring problems. Players often started matches completely unfit (sometimes visibly limping) in those days when squads were much smaller. Moran too had many hamstring absences.
  3. Trybull did more in 15 mins than Evans in his previous 150m. With Evans its like playing with 10men.
  4. No, there's two of us. He was no threat at all on the right flank and is persistently hesitant in possession.
  5. Bell is utter crap. Defends like a girl and offers nothing going forward. Never takes responsibility in any situation.
  6. Mulgrew lives in a make-believe land that thinks he can still play at international level. He has a history of leaving Aberdeen and Celtic in a bad odour. Just repeating it here.
  7. Simon Garner must be on any legends list. Honourable mentions too for Tony Field and Derek Fazackerley.
  8. Carter needs to go on loan. Massively below Championship standard at present.
  9. The same was often said about Scott Sellars but he didn't turn out too bad and at a time when pro football was much more physical than it is now.
  10. If Sheff Utd wanted him why didn't they get him. Suspect that was agents and journos waffle. Anyway they can aim higher now.
  11. Lenihan isn't good enough for the Prem. Travis isn't ready. Armstrong is the one who will leave.
  12. We'll send Wigan down by losing at Luton.
  13. Mowbray won't want to expose himself to criticism if Hilton has a stinker in a vital relegation decider even though Walton will probably do so anyway. He went down like a sack of spuds for 2 of the goals today. Its almost a surprise when he makes a save.
  14. Leutwiler and Brereton can be added to that list as well as a host of U23 players who are well below Championship standard and always will be - Magloire, Platt, Grayson, White, Lyons fall in this category. More deadwood in this squad than the average timber yard.
  15. Bennett was utterly pants at LB. Walton responsible for giving away another soft goal.
  16. Presumably Mowbray wants to make sure Mulgrew leaves as quickly as possible in the summer and at no further cost.
  17. Thank God we've got 53 in the bank already. I can see this end of season slide going into next season unless Mowbray wakes up and smells the coffee.
  18. Walto struggles with low shots - either doesnt get down quickly enough or fails to hold them as today. Derby's shoot on sight policy suggests they knew he'd spill one sooner or later. Walton looks good dealing with top corner efforts but that's not enough at this level.
  19. Might as well play all the remaining fixtures behind closed doors. Better for everyones mental health not to watch that disorganised spineless shambles. The midfield was totally dependent on Travis who was neutered by his booking. Downing simply has not got the legs to play in that position against an energetic youthful opposition. Rothwell needs to be binned this summer as he offers nothing but headless chicken dribbling ending with loss of possession in dangerous areas. Bennett is a League 1 player. Brereton needs to find an alternative career.
  20. Brentford have collected £120m in țransfer fees in the past 6 years and the stadium cost £80m
  21. 50 points is the target now. Wont be easy with squad that doesn't look like it could score in a brothel. Will probably come down to the final couple of matches against Reading and Luton.
  22. Mowbrays favourite Bennett will be ahead of Lyons however brilliantly he's playing for the U23s
  23. You can Alan Gulliver to that sorry list of misfiring strikers. He cost £30k similar to the fee received for Byron but £18k was refunded when it was found Huddersfield had concealed a serious back injury.
