That's a bottom six 11 IMO. But it does match that ambition that the owners keep banging on about. That was the same players that got us relegated last time albeit Smallwood helped Rotherham on their way. Graham's a year older. Only Samuel and dack weren't apart of a relegation that season and Samuel couldbt cut it at league 1 level. Bar dack with no champions experience ( although he is easily good enough) and Palmer who signed yesterday it doesn't bode well if your factor in squad depth It's easy to over estimate our players after last season

Would all the contract not be factored in before Tony started shouting about having a " competitive" budget. Tony and the board would have been well aware that in the instance of promotion players would need new contracts. Surly he would have said we have a budget but we need to dip into a chunk of that to renew players contracts then we can play with what's left as he is such an honest guy. From his comments you would have to assume the contracts and budgets would have been drawn up with all this in mind before he spoke to the fans about competitive budgets

Armstrong is a poor mans Michael Owen. Would anyone recommend playing Owen on the wing because he has pace. Armstrong is not a winger. Unless your signing him to play upfront where imo he would score us the goals we need then don't sign him and sign a winger. It's as clear as day that Armstrong is a striker

Everybody played very well with dack the stand out player. I can't believe I'm going to say this and it will be the first time I have ever witnessed it but Evans was also very good. He actually looked like a decent quality midfielder that could read the game. Well done lads. Superb all round
