We are going down (the pessimism thread)
Oldgregg86 replied to simongarnerisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
A lot of people saying we won’t go down, which I agree with. However some key and long term injuries would change that pretty rapidly -

Having suffered and continue to suffer with addiction I get both sides. Ultimately it’s only the person with the addiction that can stop it and they have to take responsibility for it . However when your mental health is suffering, your moods is low due to chemical imbalances and traumas arise in your life it’s not easy to make the right choices , sometimes you want to numb the pain and consequence when your so low around your choice to drink/smoke/so drugs takes a back seat for a moments respite -

They spent over 4 million on Jude Bellingham’s brother . Different level to a German 4th tier gamble -

Exactly what I said five minutes ago and he’s spot on. Non of this is on JDT as far as I’m concerned and has us playing decent entertaining football with as Sutton said a development squad -

He’s doing what he’s been told to do , develop kids for profit. Packing the midfield might gets us a few extra points but it won’t progress the players . Only people to blame are in india -

Exactly the first team picks itself with no option to change tha game with what’s on the bench, we’ve no height for set pieces or hold up play, no strength to go toe to toe and no experience to see games out . We are a development club full of kids hoping to avoid relegation and JDT is doing just that. Developing kids . That’s what swag wants presumably from the owners requests so what can JDT do. His hands arnt tied they’ve been cut off -

I thought telalovic was supposed to be rapid. He hasn’t looked quick from the brief cameos so far -
I get that but then what system do we play with a team of 5ft 6 inexperienced teenagers with no options from the bench
-
I don’t think his capabilities are being bigged up enough. I really believe he is a top level manager who would do wonders at a place where he got the backing to do what he needs to do and the transfers required to fit his system. You can see with us, how he has us playing the quality he possesses he just doesn’t have the players to make it count. The fact he’s got us playing the way we do with kids out of the youth team and competing in the championship speaks volumes for me

Ha I love that, disgustful. A mix of disgusting and disgraceful. I thought you’d just made a word up but I checked and it is a word 😂

That is the worst performance I’ve seen in a long time from Wednesday. I don’t think they touched the ball on their own pitch. Sunderland look a good shout for a play off place from what I’ve seen of them this season

I think that is our strongest team with carter possibly in for hill but hill looked decent against Cardiff so would like to see abit more if him -
Wednesday haven’t had the ball for any of the 50 minutes played. Dominated comes to mind

It’s a tough one regarding Wharton. He is clearly the best at recieving the ball on the turn and getting us on the front foot but we lose the protection of the back four. play Travis or tronstad there and you gain the protection but slow the attack down and I fear we would get penned in our own half with no one up top who can hold the ball up and offer an alternative outlet. The last thing we need is tronstad playing one twos with the cbs all game and getting pushed into our own half. The obvious solution is to get Wharton working on the defensive side of his game which will come with errors whilst learning but seeing as he’s probably off in summer won’t be a long term fix anyway. I still think we would lose more pushing Wharton forward than we would gain with a more defensive minded player in that position so for me wharton has to be the pivot as nobody else has the ability he has to do this role -

Only been to the bridge once when we lost 4-0 and Arjen robben had one of the best games I’ve ever witnessed . I’m hoping to go this game though COYB -

Callum Robinson for Cardiff is exactly the player we need up top. I thought he was very good last night. Big , strong, quick feet and took his goal well -

Oldgregg86 replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That’s my point , broughton said we were consigned to losing him and the fact he signed a contract was to get a fee this summer so why use him. We effectively have a spurs player advertising a company sponsoring rovers . -

This is still up on the toilets and that was the queue five minutes before kick off to get into the ground with a turn style not working. They are my only complaints of what was otherwise a fantastic night of football. Markanday played really well, hill looks decent and siggy is a top top player. Telalovic won’t offer much this season if ever but I have been bitten before with Big Ben so I shall leave that there for now. Happy to progress and thoroughly enjoyed the game -

And sounds like he’s already sounded out houses and schools in the area. I’d take him, but if we haven’t got money to keep the Blackburn end open we haven’t got money for Andros. Shame because when the dingles get relegated next season he would of been well up for it 😂
