Bradley Dack - Twist or Stick?
Dreams of 1995 replied to bigbrandjohn's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Aesthetics of the performance? We aren't here performing a synchronised dance routine. We are here to win games -

Sorba Thomas must have looked at Brereton and Gallagher and thought "I'm going to get assists here" Little did he realise how poor both of them are at attacking balls in the box. Gallagher actually takes the piss with how bad he is at getting across his man What irks me is that he has regressed since his days under Coyle. His strength there was getting across his man, and if you remember he scored goals by attacking balls into the middle -

An excellent team performance yet again. Any game you come away with 3 pts can never be deemed as anything but good JDT is very much a build from the back coach. It is not lost on me that many people who spent years arguing Mowbray should do the same, and that results trumps the team performance (usually when disagreeing with You Know Who), are now beating the drum of 'like watching paint dry' When we look around us we have to acknowledge how weak our squad is. Watford, Norwich, Baggies, Boro, Burnley and Sheff Utd all have far better quality and in depth. Yet, here we are competing on every level: clean sheets, points, league position. The one area we lack massively in is goals scored, but we all know the frustrations we face in that department The term I like to use is that you wee with the willy you have. In the absence of forwards we must focus on our defence. You play to your strengths. That is exactly what JDT is doing: he is protecting a vulnerable midfield, and trying his very best to ensure his strikers don't need to score 2 or 3 goals to win a game Dolan had a lively game again and offers far more than Vale or Gallagher. Gally just doesn't appear to have a role in this team. I think next game we have to stick with a Hedges, Dolan and Thomas front line, maybe with an opportunity afforded to Leonard also Thought Trav was fantastic last night. He made a tackle in the 2nd half that got me out the chair - it's been a while since that has happened JRC, Brittain, Hyam, Carter (who I really like now) and Ayala all brilliant again. And credit for Pears for that last minute collection from a dangerous cross. Overall excellent defensive performance, coupled with a few moments of class, and we sit pretty in 4th. Excellent Tuesday night -

I’d take a 1-0 win every single week Scrappy at times but overall we played better and deserved the points Another game unbeaten and we move up the table -

Can’t say the side gives me much excitement It really is not that good of a squad is it? I haven’t really seen Leonard, but given his goal scoring recently, and the fact that Vale hasn’t had much influence on games, I do wonder when his chance will come Time for Szmodics to step up -
Ok Jim you are not a stakeholder 😁 Problem solved

This is embarrassing more than anything. The whole operation at Ewood has been wound down to 'barely operational'. There is no spark or desire to improve the matchday atmosphere I'm not here demanding light shows or fireworks - just a good, old-fashioned well run operation in which the stands and concourse are clean; the fan areas are kept up to date; the food on sale is of good quality and priced accordingly and the beer / refreshments are varied I went to Blues away this year - must be the only club that I have come close to thinking: "Ewood is better than this" Almost every single other venue I have been, even during our League 1 days, I came away thinking the atmosphere is better here than at ours. Yeah, the likes of Walsall you had school tables acting as the refreshment bar, and the facilities aren't as modern, but they were maintained a damn sight better than ours Going to Ewood just isn't a pleasant experience any more. I will always go away before a home game

Does it really matter whether you define yourself as a fan or a stakeholder? By the definition of a fan you are affected by the companies - the teams - performance Therefore you are a stakeholder But if you don’t want to be a stakeholder then don’t be. Be a fan. Nobody really cares

Great pass by Buckley too. Plenty would have whipped that in Hes not a “sitter” - Mowbray played him right and he got plenty of assists. Needs to be further up the park but that boy can pick a pass -

Much much better in the second half We need a goal here. Draw away, win at home. You follow them rules you’ll get play offs. -

Why does everybody care so much about Chaddys opinion on everything? There’s loads of posters that have made an opinion, then when events unfold that opinion isn’t the reality, and they change their mind. That’s called life So what? It’s football and this is a messageboard - like all things social media you post your immediate thoughts Bloody hell, it’s like some of you have ever been wrong before. And it isn’t just on Dack it’s on every single damn thread and by the same half a dozen people It’s so fucking boring. You tell us not to read it but it’s literally every thread running at the moment. Find a new man to hassle He has said now about 20 times that his opinion on Dack has changed. Move on -

Szmodics has not got that Dack effect. The ability to turn a corner or cut a defence in half. What he does have is work-rate. I can see the logic in bringing him in to close a game out. When chasing though it seems a waste of a substitution -

I would agree on Carter Next week I'd go for Hyam and Carter starting I do like the balance a left sided CB gives us, but for me Carter is above Wharton at this moment -

Have we sold out of tickets for this? Can't see any on the website unless I am being stupid -
How do you know? You don't know how spurious the reason is, who is at fault or even what happened that night None of us do It is bizarre how you have managed to come to such a firm conclusion Law of averages suggest you will be right, but to be so determined about it is odd given we know the sum total of zero To then suggest that if we are successful it will be due to sympathy and not due to being right - bearing in mind your final sentence - is even more bizarre!!!!

The playoffs aren't gone at all. 6pts separates us and 3rd place. In this league that can be overturned in a week, very easily. There are still 54pts to play for. The quicker we get O'Brien in the better.

Mowbray was only second to the Toad for how much support he recieved from 'the Owners' And he wasted it
