  1. Really enjoyed listening to that, thanks. I had forgotten he was instrumental in that amazing Bradford FA Cup win at Chelsea. Has to be one of the biggest cup upsets ever under the circumstances.

  6. That win almost felt like a defeat, and Stoke missed a penalty to make it 3-3 if I remember correctly?

  12. Bentley wasn't a bad loan either (first time round)

  17. Agree with you on Williams Stuart but I think Mowbray has played enough young players in his time - perhaps more than any other manager I've seen at Ewood. There were two 17 year olds on the pitch for us on Wednesday night, just for example.
  18. Ocean Colour Scene - Charlie Brown Says
  19. Simon Garner was similar, a terrific crosser of the ball. Maybe its because him and Shearer knew exactly where a centre forward would want the ball delivered?
  20. Interestingly, having a cursory glance at social media just after the news of Paolo Rossi's death was announced, I didn't get the same sense of 'he was a cheat' that I did in the wake of Maradona's passing. Maybe it's because he didn't cheat against England? He had a fabulous World Cup in 1982 (once the group games were out of the way anyway, he was woeful prior to that) but if his original punishment for match fixing hadn't been commuted from 3 years to 2, he wouldn't even have been able to play in it. RIP.
  21. The Creation - Making Time
  22. Can't really add anything to RoverDom's excellent post, other than it has helped me to reconnect with ex football team mates, school friends and even extended family in a really positive way. The flip side of the same coin is that you do occasionally get people coming back into your life - in a virtual sense anyway - that you haven't seen in 30 years for a reason! I used Twitter a lot in my previous job, not so much these days, and also LinkedIn has proved useful on a couple of occasions, but its mainly BRFCS and Facebook for me.
  23. Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me
  24. Yeah I read that earlier. I’m not a Neil Lennon fan but I smiled at his quote in relation to Mowbray’s ‘project’ at Celtic. “Don’t talk to me about projects, that’s something my daughter would do at school” 😂😂😂
