I hope people realise why we couldn’t give a ‘running commentary’ of what was going on behind the scenes but the Trust Board has been fighting the fight. I think our strategy has been correct and I think we are in a strong position to call out the owners now. Most top players are millionaires regardless of who they play for, so presumably their next criteria after money would be playing in big, full stadiums packed with passionate fans. Whatever you think of the Old Firm, they have huge fan bases (probably only bettered by two premier league clubs and even then its arguable).

Why not? If you were a top player and you had a choice of playing (in the same league) at Stamford Bridge or Celtic Park every week, which one would you choose?
