  1. I’d sub off bell and play Downing at LB
  2. Gallagher off Dack on. Move Elliot wide.
  3. Set pieces... how many times?
  4. Travis also only got hit shot through injury. It’s like we have no faith in our own youth program.
  5. When was the last time we were in good form? Our unbeaten run in January wasn’t form, it was luck.
  6. It’s not only about the position in the table we havent looked right for months. I’m thinking Dack doesn’t fit our style of play. He’s performed his best play off a target striker that can hold the ball up. Being the playmaker in that space of a more direct team. With Armstrong firmly cemented into the central forward position Dack seems lost. Dack has admitted in the past he prefers Armstrong wide left, now we know why. Travis has not been the problem and our best performances, albeit against bottom sides, was with Johnson in that role and Rothwell/Holtby in front. Rothwell is much better central than wide but with Dack back he gets shoveled out left. Also Dolan gave us a dynamic option on the wing that SG simply doesn’t have. Why we went away that I’m not sure. bottom line is TM has tinkered to the point where no one except maybe Armstrong knows what they’re doing. The players deserve some blame but most of us have seen their abilities so we know the talent is there...it’s the team and man management that’s gone array.
  7. What happened to dominating the ball and letting the opponent feel the pressure...fucking wanker
  8. Yeah a player coming back from long term injury and was utter shite before it was put directly into the line up at the expense of our best defender. No player would be happy but the chap getting the undeserving start
  9. How can they not? It’s clear to everyone he’s run out of ideas months ago. How would you feel if you were playing the left-right back striker position then subbed off because you weren’t doing what you we’re supposed to?
  10. Let’s not forget our “run” in January was full of dreadful performances too. Haven’t played well for months.
  11. Would be better off sending to back, and recalling our own young players. Why give them experience when our own players could look this bad
  12. The substitutions are like watching a gradeschooler playing football manager.
  13. Dack is definitely at his best playing off of a target forward who can hold up play. Being the playmaker in a more direct team. Not sure our current “style” or “formation” suits him.
  14. Like they have a fucking recognizable formation
  15. Still drawing the players roles on the white board...explaining how no formation works, while the lads just wonder onto the field and Bennett’s selects the side
  16. And our best center half is in goals
  17. The thing about picking our starting 11 is we’ve gotten so many players whose best position is the same...then we have other positions with no one suited for it. Undoubtedly Rothwell, SG or BB will be out wide, but neither of them are naturally wide players. AA and Dack struggle to play centrally together. We have roughly 8 holding midfielders. Naymbe might be a better center back than wing back and Douglas probably a better winger than left back. it’s square pegs in round holes all over the pitch. Like a blind lad setting up the chess board.
  18. This formation is too recognizable. I think 1 in the back 5 up front and 4 others central as we know wide players are not fancied
  19. I’m certain Carter could have performed as well as Branthwaite did yesterday.
  20. Still can get over our “tactics” yesterday. We actually, purposely, played our 7 million pound center striker at right back! That was an actual decision made, not due to injury or having a man sent off, or trying to see out the last few Minutes..our manager thought, we need a change, then decided that was going to give us the best chance to win. You can’t make that shite up.
  21. I’m not against Downing coming on, but think he should have come on for Rothwell, SG or Douglass. We were lacking for ideas in the final third and he could have replaced a wide player and provided more of an impact
  22. I thought a Davenport was one of the few players settling the ball in the first half. Why he went off at half i don get. Like Naymbe for Elliot, it made no sense. Was SG playing center back there for 5 min? on another note I cannot stand how timid Douglass is going forward. Many times he has space in front of him. A good attacking defender would put the defense on their heels, but he always holds it up. We’re really quite boring in the attack. Rarely get to the byline and never play penetrating balls. Hell 1/2 the time we get it inside the box then look to play it backwards. The back four was a complete disaster. Why Branthwait wasn’t subbed for the city kid I don’t get it’s just all really difficult to watch and looks like a ship without a rutted.
